Great spot for a no-thrills massage, which is exactly what I wanted. It's hard to carve out time dedicated to pampering yourself and rarely have the opportunity to plan in advance so it is nice to have a place that accepts walk-ins. I was a little confused upon entering. Was greeted when I walked in and escorted to one of the "rooms". Walls don't meet the ceiling so it's a little difficult to stay in-the-zone with distractions from customers coming in, phone, TV & neighboring massage-getters. Massage therapist led me to the room and closed the door behind me. We didn't have a discussion about service options so I wasn't sure if I needed to go ahead and disrobe or if she was to return, discuss, then disrobe. I sat there for a minute and decided to go ahead and shed the threads and crawl under the tiny, quarter sheet face down on the table. I presume I did the right thing because she came back in and got to work. I now realize that there's only one massage option, the full-body table acupressure, so there really wasn't any need for discussion unless you had a request but I wouldn't make it complicated. Little English. Pleasant massage with a few distractions mentioned above but she did a great job. Worked on my ferocious knots in my neck & shoulders and overall I'd give her an A-. 4 stars for the convenience factor alone & it was what I was looking for in regards to a no-frills, in-and-out massage. Not the full 5 stars only because I'm used to more of a tranquil spa setting but will be back to test out the foot massage. A 30 to 60 minute, pop-in foot massage after 9 hours in heels? Great massage, very professional and friendly staff however language is a barrier for some.

This is my first massage. I chose this one.I am very responsible to say that the masseurs here have very professional skills and are very powerful. Her massage penetrated into my body. After working for 14 hours continuously, I got a very comfortable massage. I feel that I won't feel tired for a week. I recommend you to go to this massage shop. read more

Tai Chi Acupressure - Reflexology Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

this is the best massage I have ever gotten. would recommend! and have very nice workers!

The best foot massage I've ever had. In my life. Not kidding!!!! This is the best foot massage I've had in Birmingham for sure. Annie did mine. First time there and I will 100% be back! It was out of this world and you can't beat the pricing. $30 for 30 min. !!! read more

I called to ask if they offer the sit down massage chair because I can't do a massage laying face down. I have a cond that gives me a terrible headache when I do. The lady that answered the phone said - "No Chair!" and just hung up the phone. The customer service is apparently awful and I wouldn't want this hateful person laying a finger on me. read more

I had my foot massage with Vivian today. It was the perfect treat for Mothers Day!!! She was very attentive to my feet and even though we had a few interruptions (guests arriving, phone ringing), she took care of me. I didn't realize how much my feet needed the work, so I'm glad they had availability today. Next time, I'm going to strongly consider doing the 2 hr $90 treatment. A full body massage AND foot massage sound delightful!! read more

Clean environment and didn't have to wait long at all. However, I will say as someone who gets massages from places similar to this - this has by far been one of the most unique experiences. Most massage business I feel are very respectful and honor the privacy of women. Massage room was fine, closed doors and everything but I definitely haven't been.. all out in the open. There was a sheet that was constantly having to be shifted from covering my upper body to my lower.. aside from that, I wanted more work done on my shoulders but got more attention to my legs and butt (seriously had to stop and say to work on my back) and then when i finally got her to get back to my shoulders - my spine is bruised because of how hard she moves the "knots" in my back. I finally couldn't take it anymore and got up. I gave 2 stars based on cleanliness and maybe the fact that I just got the one bad masseuse.. read more

I give one star because no stars was an option. Complete garbage... signed both my girlfriend and myself up for a massage, had the appointment in email as they told me to do in the store. The lady declined our massages because she had no knowledge of the appointment even though just two hours prior I had spoke to her face to face. I'll never go back , nor will I recommend a place of business that conducts themselves in this manner. read more

Horrible place. I made an appointment and when I got there everyone was busy with people already in waiting room. The girl knew I had appointment and said sorry we got busy and to come back tomorrow. What a bunch of crap. read more

Very rude person and I think she is the only one that works there. They have a sign board outside the shop but when I told her that I wanted one of the massage, she told me "No" and kept telling me a different rate. Useless to try to explain it to here as she stated getting mad . Rude and very inappropriate. Don't waste your money. There are better places out there where people know how to treat customers. Definitely, will not recommend read more

No show for the appointment I had. Door locked. No one answering the phone even after I received email confirmation for my appointment. Total waste of time!!! read more

I took a friend here for an hour reflexology session for her birthday. The atmosphere was simple and relaxed, the service providers were very attentive and welcoming. We were placed in very comfortable reclining chairs in a softly lit private area and given a tea soak before the massage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back! I highly recommend the reflexology and hope to have a full body acupressure on my next visit. read more

The massage therapist was very nice. She knew every spot, the massage was relaxing. I went around 8 at night and it they weren't busy at all, I went straight into the massage room. Plus, you pay for 10 massages and get the last one free! (just ask for the punch card) read more

I left a review before but it disappeared I got one of the best massages I have ever had!! I loved the foot massage, hand and arm massage and scalp massage and my husband has back issues and always feels so much better after he goes in! read more

My massuse was very rude to me and demanded that I tip a minimum of 20%. I normally wouldn't have a problem with this, but after a mediocre massage where the massuse repeatedly yelled over the walls to talk to her coworkers, answered her phone during the massage, and then interrupted the massage twice for several minutes. with no explanation; no, I did not feel I should tip the full 20%. I hate that the massuse was so rude because it's a very convenient location. read more

Very relaxing and real reflexology. Lovely warm soak to start the reflexology and finished with chair massage of head, shoulders and back

Tai Chi Acupressure is a clean, quiet, massage store. It offers Awesome massages, both deep tissue or a more relaxed massage, and the reflexology foot massage is the best I have found in Birmingham. The prices are reasonable, you can walk-in or call and set an appointment. Grace, the manager, who is an wonderful masseuse, has been working on my back and hips and I am feeling so much better. My wife has a bad shoulder and she is getting much needed relief as well. Give them a try and I believe you will be pleased read more

One of the best massage places in this area. I just came back from Thailand and this place is equivalent to it. Low prices, great hands and clean environment. Can't wait to return. read more

Wow. I walked in this afternoon right when some lady was getting upset with the manager who apparently stopped her massage mid way through because the manager overbooked some customers. That was stressful and it freaked me out. Doesn't sound relaxing so I went over to Edgars and got a Turtle Cupcake instead (that was peaceful!!). I don't want them to stop in the middle of *my* massage. I also noticed they have a mandatory 20% tipping. Boy, I'd hate to have to tip someone who just stopped massaging me midway through and told me to leave so that they could take on new customers that just walked in the door. Weird!!! I'm going to look for someplace else for massage. read more

This is my first review on here. I saw Michele when I was there and she was the rudest person I think I have dealt with.

Today, the manager was my masseuse and she stopped half way through my massage and told me I was done. Here's what happened: I made an appointment for a two-hour massage. When I showed up, I verified with the manager that it was for two hours. I even asked if they took credit cards since I didnn't have enough cash for two hours worth and she verified they did. Then we discussed "...one hour legs, one hour back." She confirmed by saying she would do that. However, while I was being massaged, a lady called wanting to come in right away for massage. The manager hesitated then told the lady to come in. Then the manager tried calling in another masseuse to show up to help but he wasn't available (be careful, since I worked in China, I understand the Chinese language - I know more than she thinks I do). When the lady showed up, it was right about at the one hour marker of my massage, so she stopped massaging me and said, "Done!" When I said, "What happened? I though I had a two-hour massage??" She replied, "You can come back tomorrow and get another hour. We finish now." When I came out and asked why she stopped midway in my massage, then she started arguing with me that I had only asked for an hour. ???? I had a two-hour appt., we discussed payment for two hours, and then we discussed how the two hours would play out in my massage. Don't further insult me by trying to make it my fault. NOT GOING BACK. There are other places in Birmingham to get a massage. Hopefully they are much better time-managed. And customer oriented. read more
