So I have been here multiple times. First few time excellent. This past visit not so good. First of all I was getting a reflexology foot massage. In walks another patron a man! He is put in the bed next to me! He proceeds-to talk to me. So we are having a couples massage but we are NOT a couple. This is very strange! Then he started coughing violently. He reassured all of us in the room it's just allergies. He removes his shoes the smell was not pleasant! He was very apologetic. I feel bad because none of this is his fault! Called ahead and made an appointment for 2:00pm for me and my mom. Got there she asked if 2:15 was okay I said that's fine. Then she proceeded to say it will be 20 more minutes. Then she changed it to 10 minutes. My mom had the man and she said he did pretty good, but I had the lady and it was awful. I thought the whole point of a foot massage was for you to rub my feet not my legs. She also did not apply any pressure. Then we got ready to check out the man said $90 I said you mean $70 the massages was $35 a piece. I left a $5 tip bc my mom said the man did pretty good on her feet but nothing exceptional. I found a wonderful place to have a massage. Just after lunch, just opened the market for a week. I saw their advertising banner and went in for an hour of deetissue massage. It felt like this massage therapist had massage experience for several years. Strength and speed are also very accurate on the acupuncture points. They are returned to the hot stones. The service is not good! I've been twice just to give them another chance and it was even worse the second time. The first time I got a massage from the guy and it was amazing! (Which was the sole reason that I returned for a second time). The other service was not so great. I got there and they said they had another customer coming in 10 minutes so I had to wait to see if that customer showed up. I left and came back and they told me to wait 5 more minutes. There were two women there and one took payments and the other was the massager. The business is located between a hair store and a military office. There was lots of noise through the walls which was distracting during the massage. The massage was supposed to be 60 minutes but she ended it around 50 minutes AND she left twice during the massage to go to the door when customers walked in, even though there was another woman up there. The woman also continued to put an extreme amount of pressure on my spine instead of focusing on the muscles near my spine and shoulder blades. I'm not even a professional and I know that you don't massage someone's bones, you massage the muscle. The worse part was when I was leaving they demanded a tip, I explained that I didn't want to add the tip on my card so I would go to my car and get cash. Because of the language barrier they didn't understand and began to get upset. One woman (the massager) blocked the door while the other demanded I pay a tip. Because of the times our country is in and the consistent disregard and disrespect of black women, I didn't want the situation to get worse so I stood there trying to explain over and over again pointing at my car parked right in front of the business. They moved from the door and let me out. I got the cash from my car and gave them the tip BUT WTF! When is it okay to demand a tip? Especially, considering their flyers say one price and they've raised the price shown written over the print on the wall signs. I paid for my service upfront which also rubbed me the wrong way. I've gotten $400+ massages at spas and was never asked to pay up front (and the gratuity is added to your service price). I was greeted pleasantly and taken to a room quickly. I received the 30 min massage with oil. The massage was nice she made sure to massage the knots out of my back she focused on the areas that had more tension with medium pressure. Throughout the massage she ensured I was okay. She stretched my shoulders and arms as I build tension in these areas. She also reminded me to relax several times. I feel a lot better. Today was my first experience, the treatment is friendly but you feels like you are being charged and hurrying, I insisted from the beginning on a pain that I had on my right shoulder and it was rarely touched, I asked them for a strong person definitely I was needing hard massage and everything was too fragile, I definitely do not recommend "full body massage" most of the time he massage my waist, my legs less than 5 min my feet never touched them, my arms were good but very short and my neck and head were not touched more than 2 minutes, my 60 minutes were definitely less because the person who attended to me went out constantly and took a long time to return. I called ahead of time asking for a deep tissue massage on our way home from a 14 hour road trip, literally drove straight there. I paid before my service was started which I thought was odd. I noticed they didn't speak very much English but told both females there I am having severe pain in my shoulders and neck please focus on this area. I was brought to my room and sat there for 15 minutes and no one came in. I walked out in my towel to let them know I was ready. She never touched my shoulders or my neck and was only focusing on my buttocks and lower back. She even got my legs. I reminded her multiple times please my neck has knots in it I'm in a lot of pain this is why I came here. No response. She ended the massage 15 min early and when I came out and asked her about it she said she couldn't understand me and used the time I paid when I first got there as when my time started.
