Hey guys, M husband and I decided to go to DISCOVER Massage in Trussville ALA on yesterday which was Sunday, March 1, 2026 . When we arrived we had a couples massage scheduled but as we began to go to our room to prepare for the massage. We waited a little longer than we expected, but we decided to give them the opportunity to give us a good massage and we would be OK. We got undressed but we noticed the massage tables were extremely uncomfortable. They were hard. The room was totally hot and no relaxing music. I advised the two ladies that it was way too hot so she then came in with a mini fan that did not give out any air and it was so unprofessional when they came in to give us a massage, it felt like my five-year-old grand-daughter just gave me. There were no professional about it at all. It was the worse massage we have ever received but when we came out me and my husband were in so much pain and my husband is having problems right now so he will probably need to go and see a doctor and I suffered through so much pain last night as I laid in the bed. I'm trying to prevent this from happening to you guys. Please do not go to this facility because if you go, you will be going to the doctor or you will be going to another massage to fix what they messed up or you will be going to physical therapy to get your back in a normal position. This was so bad. There is no way possible that they could have went to school to receive their massage certificate there's no way that they've had any type of professional training. There were no professional training about anything that they did. It was terrible and I'm going to report them to the BBB. read more

Every time I have a table massage here, I feel very well taken care of and leave feeling the work and care afterward. They can do soft, Swedish-style or deeper, shiatsu-style, and in-between, depending on your needs and preferences. They're generous with their tools and their time, and with my very tight joints and muscles, I'm always impressed at their ability to get me to relax and for the healing recovery I always feel afterward. read more

I walked right in and they had availability, which was the best part. Everywhere I called no one answer the phone except for Discover Massage. The lady that did my massage was small and mighty. She did a combination of deep tissue and stretching. I did a 60 minute massage and it was perfect for $70. My husband and I have gone here about 5 times and always tell them we want to be in room together. A few times we had to wait for that but no problem. The massage is usually good. You have to pay before and add your tip. The last two times they have asked for more tip- I always tip $5 each- same if I went to the nail salon. I shouldn't be pressured to give a bigger tip after already paying for my service- today was $70 each for a 60 min massage. Tips are optional, you can't pressure me to tip more. read more

Someone came in after me, & he was instantly taken care of, without appointment because his service was 70.00 and mine was 40.00. It was about the money, not who got there first. Service was okay. My wife and I go here at least once a year for a couples massage for the last 5 years. The price reflects that this is not a day spa with all the frills. If you want an enjoyable massage for a reasonable price then this is the place. read more

The massage alone was great! The lady really relaxed my body; after the massage I felt really rejuvenated for my upcoming week. Customer Service was horrible. I made the appointment 3days ahead and spoke to the manager (I think) she was very polite and kind. I asked if they did couples massages. She insured me that they do and we could get our massages done in the same room. So I schedule my appointment so that my sister and I could be in the same room together. When arriving to our appointment, an older lady explain to us that we would have to pay in cash because of a Card Machine malfunction. So we left to go and get cash from a near by ATM. Also I called earlier that day to make sure our appointments were at 11am. She didn't mention they weren't accepting card payments. When arriving back, we paid and the older lady began to direct us to the back rooms. She then told us to go into different rooms. I explain to her that we were supposed to be together. She said, "no, you will be separate rooms". I told her when I called I was told we could be in the same room. She still wouldn't allow us in the same room and she began to be rude. So I just went ahead and went into the other room, because it was my sister's birthday; I really wanted this to be a great experience. During my massage, the lady's phone kept ringing. People were continuously calling. But honestly that didn't even bother me, because she was really good and kind. On our way out the man, working at the desk, stops my sister and asks my sister for a tip. She then explains to him that she could only tip on her credit card. Then the man says we need a tip. I'm looking at him in disbelief, because a tip is something that a customer gives out of gratitude; it's not mandatory. My sister then ask if they have cash app. He replies no, you need to do PayPal or Venmo. My sister then explain she doesn't have neither of them. Then he tells her to download one of them on her phone. My sister is EXTREMELY passive. She hates Awkward moments. So I then stepped in and told him, we only have card. If you do not have the means to accept our money then that's not our problem. I told him to have a great day. Before we left the older lady rolled her eyes at us and said something to the man. When we left the the establishment, I was stressed all over again. I just couldn't believe they were being so rude. I guess you get what you pay for. The prices I guess were just for the actual service. Good Customer service must be extra! read more

I always leave Discover Massage refreshed! Annie is one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. She takes pride in her work and is very professional. Don't waste your time at those fancy and expensive places that leave so much undone and only give you a 45-minute rather than a 60-minute massage. As my husband put it I came out of this place looking like I was beat up. I was certainly out of it. It was a seriously good massage! It didn't have that spa like ambiance but the price was awesome $60 for an hour, amazingly they take walk ins! When I walked in it smelt kinda like incense but more like leftover smoke. The place looked like an old tanning salon. I must add, while I waited a gentlemen customer came out looking very happy. The gal who massaged me asked for payment first. She did not speak English and did not ask me which kind of massage I wanted. They have about 5 different ones. I have had at least a hundred massages in my time and was very confused as to what to do when I was left in the room to change. There was a thin gauzy, see through sheet on the table and a nice fluffy towel. I ended up in the towel trying to figure out how to Laydown on the table without being fully exposed so I just stood there. When the masseuse came into the room she started to grab my towel off of me (I'm usually laying on the table under a sheet by this time at other spas, where was my sheet?). I grabbed at the towel also and we had a moment where we were fighting over it. I finally gave in and let her have it. It felt like I was in a friends/Seinfeld episode. I was finally on the table with the towel laid over me and was pleasantly surprised by a combo Swedish style massage with a hot rocks in the middle of it. This is my first time here and also the last time. I come for foot massage . all very bad. they charged me before they did. I also let go. they charged me $55 and I tipped them $5 even though I don't know if they did a good job. Feeling terrible on a massage chair in the middle of the house. when i left they called me back and forced me to tip $15 , they forced me to correct the bill for a total of $70 . By far the best massage I have ever had! I highly recommend this place. The price is amazing for the quality of the massage. I've paid way more before for massages nowhere near as good as this one. The ladies here give a WONDERFUL massage but when I was here the lady who came out before I went back was asked by the desk clerk THREE TIMES to tip and I knew I didn't have any cash so when I paid I went ahead and put the tip on there and when I got out there was a different person working the counter and he said "are you gonna tip" I said "umm I already left a tip on my card" and he went through the stack of receipts on the desk right in front of me to see if I tipped. I was very upset by this. TIPS ARE NOT REQUIRED. Tips are given if you are pleased with the service. The massage was great but the whole tipping experience angered me beyond words. read more

The massage was very thorough. I received deep tissue massage with reflexology. It was almost like receiving muscle work and chiropractic in one session for 60 minutes. There was also stretching hot towel and hot stone. The massage was very therapeutic and really helped with the areas in which I was having pain. I will definitely go back. It's no frills but if you're in pain and can't get to the chiropractor well worth it as you'll feel a lot better. read more

Had 7:30 apt for 1 hr massage. New business in area wanted to give them a chance to earn my biz. I went in there at scheduled time was greeted by friendly Korean woman she didn't speak English very but was polite at my arrival. During massage she kept leaving room during my massage season. 20 minutes in to my one hr massage she informed me that someone else was here for massage and she going to have to cut it short. I asked her if she would be refunding me my money for the remaining 40 minutes of massage that had left. She informed that I would to come back in several days to receive to a massage i had already paid for. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone I know.
