My 6 day old son had a rough start with breastfeeding, not latching well. Lots of tears were being shed by not only my frustrated son but by me as well. Within minutes of sending her a desperate text, she responded with kindness and concern. She even went out of her way to come do a late evening consultation with me, taking her time, answering any questions I had and working to figure out the issue with my sons latch. Needless to say, last night was the first night since bringing him home from the hospital that we had not one but TWO successful feedings, and have kept the momentum up ever since! Krystal checked in with me today to see how I was doing and to answer any other questions I had. Thank you so much Krystal! Not only did you help calm my nerves and make me feel so much better, you helped my son and I achieve successful nursing. You are the best!

When we hired Ashley, I was open to either unmedicated birth or an epidural- I had no preference and she was totally game for either. After I had been in labor for quite some time, I decided to proceed with the epidural; a decision Ashley knew was completely supportive of and helped me through. In that moment, I was slightly worried we had invested in a doula who would now be of less service to us, since I would be having a medicated birth... I could not have been more wrong! I am 100% certain I would have ended up having an emergency c-section if she hadn't been present to advocate for us. She noticed things our nurses didn't catch (who knew you could have a bad bag of Pitocin??), she kept me comfortable through lots of back labor, and she acted as a confident guide through a long labor. She was the calm in the storm for both me and my husband, and we are so thankful we had her with us when our daughter surprised us with a sunny-side up arrival. In addition to her invaluable labor services, she noticed an impending medical issue during her postpartum visit we had overlooked. She helped us be more prepared for what was to come, which allowed us to seek the appropriate medical care in a timely manner. We will forever be thankful for Ashley's presence in our lives, and we can't wait to utilize her services again in the future when we try for baby #2!

I was fortunate enough to have Marissa and my birth doula in 2021. I was able to attend her pre-natal yoga sessions and motherhood gatherings via Zoom - it was great to connect with other mothers during this time. Our pre-labor one-on-one sessions were gentle and informative. Both my partner and I felt well supported. During my labor is when Marissa really shined. I had a homebirth planned with two midwives. As soon as she arrived at my house she jumped in Doula mode. She made suggestions on more comfortable birthing positions, provided me with words of encouragement and guided my husband on supporting me. I ended up needing to go to the hospital and Marissa came along and supported me through the emergency room and into L&D. She worked well with the L&D staff.  My son ended up being transferred to a NICU at another hospital - and Marissa stayed with me until one of my friends could get there. I cannot express to you how much this meant to me. While in the hospital, the doctors and nurses were focused on delivering my son safely. Marissa advocated for me and made sure I was also well taken care of. After I returned home, Marissa visited us to offer support, guidance, tea and whatever else we needed. Months later, she regularly checks in, offers her support, and coordinates meet-ups with other moms, doula clients or not, in the area. I am so thankful for Marissa.

As a doula, she is extremely capable, professional, and supportive. When I first connected with Shalin via videochat for a consultation, she instantly made me feel comfortable. I decided to go with Shalin based on how experienced and knowledgeable she seemed, as well as how comprehensive her doula services package was. Over the course of my pregnancy, Shalin visited my house several times to educate my husband and me about the birthing process, evidence-based approaches to birth, and different ways to prepare my body for birth, and to go over my birth plan. The whole process made me feel really prepared for the birth and gave me a greater understanding of what I wanted for the birth. I also appreciated that I got to know Shalin more during the pregnancy so that she didn't feel like a stranger at all. In fact, she is so warm and friendly that she felt more like a friend! She didn't push any particular views on me but wanted me to feel supported in my birth preferences.  When I went into early labor, Shalin was very responsive and kept checking in on me to see how labor was progressing, and when we decided to go to the hospital, she was super quick to meet us there. She was prepared in every way and set up lights and candles for the room. The hospital room was a vibe and very peaceful! Since I gave birth in a hospital setting, it was also important to me to have someone who could help advocate for me. When my hospital care team asked me to do certain things, Shalin checked in with me to see if I wanted to proceed with what they were asking. During the labor, she suggested different laboring positions and did counterpressure and other comfort measures, which helped me tremendously in coping with the pain. With Shalin's help and support, all my birth preferences were met! I had such a positive, empowering labor - something I never would have thought possible after my first delivery experience (without a doula).  I loved having Shalin as my doula and I highly recommend her! I can't stress enough how having her as my doula made such a difference to my second delivery experience. I am so happy with how everything went and really couldn't have done it without Shalin!

Knowing I am likely birth fast again, I wanted to go without pain meds again, with as much help I can get, and natural birth of the planceta. I reached out to Tashina pretty late in my pregnancy. Knowing my situation, she responded to my email right away and managed to squeeze me into her schedule. She did a very thorough interview with me and my husband, fully understood what experience we are looking for and made amazing recommendations. She recommended me with a hospital I wasn't aware of that has great staff and with midwifery care. Since I was late stage pregnant (32+weeks), she pulled all her strings to help the new hospital accept me as a patient. And all the way up until the delivery date, she was only one text/call away for any questions I had. The birth was still painful, but with the midwifery care, Tashina's preparation with me and my husband, the hot tub setup, and her being there as my advocate, the birth was quick, smooth, and no manual extraction of placenta! My second son was almost 8lbs and no tear or stitches. Even weeks after birth, Tashina came visit and always checked in with me to help me with breastfeeding issues, baby colic issues etc. Tashina is so knowledgeable, caring and loving. They provided so many resources and information, and were available for any questions at all which meant so much to me, again, having so much unknown my first time. Gianna ended up being there to actually see me through the labor and delivery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but she came when I felt I really started to need extra support and I cannot IMAGINE having done it without her. She helped me through the hardest parts and helped me feel so supported and safe; she gave me what I needed at points when I didn't know I needed it. Her gentle and calm presence and, even at times laughing with her made such a difference in my laboring. It also was a huge help to my partner and allowed him to take care of things that needed to be while she supported me. She stayed until well after the birth, and even helped wash and clean the sheets and helped my daughter and I with our first breast meeting! When I had a lot of anxiety surrounding breast feeding issues after, Sierra answered so many questions for me that were helpful and at the postpartum visit, they answered so many questions I couldn't have anticipated.
