After soliciting a few bids for our bathroom repair & reno, we couldn't be happier that we chose Dan and the team at BC Custom Builders. Our project included permits, and all the typical trades. Dan was incredible throughout the entire project - and ultimately delivered on time and on budget. He managed the trades closely, and knocked the construction work out of the park himself. He was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the project - we were always in the loop, and Dan was ready to jump over any surprises hidden behind the walls the moment they arose. We look forward to hiring Dan and his crew for whatever our next project will be!!

Two stars because they do pretty work but don't expect them to finish…read more They used the wrong grout and then layered the right one over the wrong grout and now it's all cracking all over our tub. The employee that installed the tiles was sloppy and got the grout on the ceiling and then painted over it and now we have patches of mismatched paint all over our freshly painted ceilings..we asked them to come back and fix the job ( I must have left 5 or 6 messages with the woman that runs the store in quincy) and she ignored every one. My MIL spent a fortune on her bathrooms and they did the same thing with her. It's a real shame that it would probably take not even a half of a day of work and they ignored me. I can't get the grout to look clean no matter how hard I scrub because there is water settling in the old grout that is cracking through..this was a few years ago but the grout is cracking even worse now in the shower and I'm finally now writing a review about it

It included color sealing a tiled kitchen counter with extremely stained grout that could not be cleaned. Also color sealing three floors and two tiled bay windows. Everything is completely transformed. It's early days, but even the countertop has been easy to maintain despite the insults of a busy kitchen. We had one glitch. The technician applied samples of several colors to each part of the job. The one I picked for one of the floors looked very unattractive to me once it was applied to the entire floor. It wasn't Sir Grout's fault, but Chris worked with me to find a very fair solution. By the time the technician left the floor looked great. I also showed Chris a fully tiled bathroom. Aside from the floor, which we did color seal, Chris recommended skipping that room since it is in such good shape and showers can get expensive. It is refreshing to find a company that does not oversell. I think that Chris takes a very long term view of his company and values loyal customers over short term revenue. So I can highly recommend Sir Grout!

Our bathrooms were original tile from the 20s and they had some...old fashioned elements. Because of corona virus we had some trouble getting all of the tile to show up at the right time and we left the house for a few days as to keep everyone healthy. Jimmy was very patient about the tiles, even going to Home Depot himself to help solve the problems. He was communicative and took our bathrooms from tattered to tidy (and clean and lovely!) Our backsplash was made of pressed tin, which is a little unusual. Jimmy and his assistant worked hard to learn about the product and did a truly perfect job installing it. He was even patient and responsive about communication before and after to set things up and work out details. When we were deciding about tiling Jimmy's relaxed personality and professionalism put us at ease, and his prices were very fair. My brother saw Jimmy's quote and said, "book him and pay him double!" We're very happy with the work and we strongly recommend Versatile Builders.
