I'm sorry to say that I did not have a great experience here. My stylist was running late by about 15 minutes before starting (which happens sometimes, I get it!) but then seemed to rush through my highlights, cut, blow-dry, and style as my appointment was at the end of her shift and she had a friend waiting for her at the salon. Very rough, sloppy treatment throughout (slapping the foils against my head unnecessarily hard, catching my ears very hard while brushing my hair, and even catching my earlobe with the flat iron), and it certainly shows in the result: sloppy, spotty highlights. It looks like I have dotted lines running through the length of my hair instead of the subtle, low-contrast balayage-style highlights I had requested. I brought in pictures and spent several minutes going over what I would like, but the color and cut aren't even in the same ballpark as what I asked for. However, because the cut looks fairly cute (though not what I asked for) and because the ambiance of the salon is nice and the stylists seem pretty friendly, I'm giving this salon 2 stars rather than 1. I am an easy-going person, and I understanding that different colors and cuts look differently on different people. If that was the cause of the mishaps, I certainly wouldn't blame the stylist. If the stylist didn't think what I had requested was achievable either because of the feasibility of the cut/color/style or because of time constraints, that would also be fine if this was clearly communicated and we worked together to find a solution. However, this seemed to be distraction and/or carelessness. I wish Taglio all the best as they work to improve these issues and succeed with their business, but I will be going to a different salon to get the highlights fixed and from this point going forward. read more
