I went to Master Stylist Kinsley Davis. I showed her pictures of my hair inspo pictures in my IPhone. She listened to what I wanted and made recommendations. I told her I'm growing my hair longer and she did not chop my hair off. She gave a light dusting like I asked. She said I would like how it turned out. I ended up loving how it turned out. My husband even commented on how nice my hair looks lol I am very happy with the service and environment at this salon. It seems to be a sensory-friendly space (lights are not too bright, not too noisy, etc) with a modern vibe in a smaller town. The way they set up the chairs, sinks, and stalls plus the interior design is impressive. It's very relaxing. I drive from Dallas to Villa Rica which is about 20 minutes away. It is worth the drive. Parking is easy. It's plentiful street parking and it's free. I'm surprised no one uploaded pictures on Yelp. I have added a few pictures. They don't ask (or beg) for people to leave reviews which is refreshing... but here is mine :) I have been to hair salons in big cities and small towns. This one is my favorite by far. I highly recommend. IMHO they are affordable with high quality products and service (IGK Hair, Pravana, Babyliss hot tools, etc.) They are very down to earth and have good energy and good vibes. In late August 2014, I visited Impressions Hair Salon to get Havana Twists. I was told, by the…read moreowner, to buy a certain type of hair for the style. After 4 hours of styling, the job was finally complete-little to my knowledge, it wasn't done well. I went home that evening, only to realize that my twists were unraveling. I called Ms. Nana, who installed my twists and who's also the owner of the salon, and she told me to stop by so she could "fix" them. I came back to the salon, expecting my hair would be corrected, considering the fact that I paid over $100 for the style, along with the hair. The NEXT day, I noticed my twists were STILL unraveling. I dipped the ends into hot water, as I was told to do by the owner, as an effort to "seal" the ends of the hair. No luck. So, I went back to her the day after. It was upon my arrival that I was told by Ms. Nana that she could not redo my hair. That is when I asked for a refund and she refused. (Don't let me fail to mention that NOWHERE in the salon was there any signs stating that she didn't offer refunds.) I left and went to another salon as an attempt to get the style corrected. It was there that I was told that the job was very messy (obviously) and even the wrong hair was used! Little to my surprise, the twists began to fall out, ONE WEEK after they were installed, guys. This style was supposed to last 2-3 months. Needless to say, I WOULD NOT recommend going to this salon. I tried to save money and gas, however, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
