Came here on a Tagaytay Tour with the recommendation of several online reviews, you have to see the stunning views. When you arrive at The People's Park in the Sky, walking to each of the corners where you can take pictures on how scenic the mountains are and the Lake surrounding Mt. Taal Volcano. I don't like giving bad reviews, but people need to know before staying here. Good: Views are amazing Bad: Accommodations - stayed in a 3 bdr "villa", soooo poorly maintained. Stains on an old couch, stains all over the floor. You wouldn't want to walk barefoot. The AC was constantly leaking fluid and soaked the poorly worn carpet. Furniture looks like it was put together from leftover furniture someone didn't want in their house anymore. Rates reflected what you would pay for a 5 star resort, but the accommodations would not even call for 2 stars No staff available to help with bags like every other 4/5 star resort we've been to in the Philippines. Elevator was really scary and squeaky as if it can break any moment. On our floor there was a random small linear mystery electric piece that was sitting in a puddle of water next to the elevator. And there was no phone to call reception! There was even a note apologizing for not having a phone... terrible. Grounds - went to their "Sports Center" for the breakfast. Athletic jerseys all over the walls, basketball court and swimming lanes there in a rather small facility, However they turned my husband away for wearing a basketball jersey to The Sports Center that had a basketball court!! Blew my mind! It seems they were constantly trying to create this veil that they have high standards but made no sense how they were trying to create those standards. Definitely not from their rooms! There was no transportation around the grounds. I guess they usually have cable cars but those were out of service. They had a "shuttle" that you couldn't use because it was always "busy". When pressing the front desk, they allowed us to go in a staff vehicle which we didn't mind, but had to beg to use it as there is no other safe way to go from one building to another. Winding hills with no sidewalks and buildings spaced far apart. Once we understood the limitations to move around the resort, we had to hire a driver from outside to bring us place to place within the grounds. We were there for a wedding and the church was beautiful and air conditioned. When we got to the indoor reception, the huge AC units were an eye sore and didn't even work, it was so hot... It seems like it would be a very beautiful place if it was maintained properly and they considered the whole experience. Thankful for the beautiful views that gave some value.. read more

I'd recommend getting a Filipino dish from their menu rather than having their "western" meals. You'll also get enough (not plenty) for a rice dish than you would with their western one. Although servers were polite, their service was very slow. It took more than 25 minutes before our dishes arrived. One dish for my starving father-in-law came much later. Hence, the three stars. If you're a bird lover, bring your binoculars for a treat. Birdwatching should keep you busy while waiting for food. The restaurant is located on the second floor overlooking the trees and a nice view. Take advantage of their large balcony just by getting some fresh air. Washrooms are available on the second floor as well. read more

First time and it's amazing. It may have deteriorated but better than being outside the compound. Not sure why this place has a bad review, what are the comparison? This place is safe, and not easy to get in, so to me, it's very secure. I'm reviewing the whole place. The process of getting a reservation is old school, but your in the Philippines? What do you expect? WiFi is fast, and I'm impressed. The security guards are nice and respectful. They even offer shuttle service. It's huge and the view is awesome! read more

Brought some guests from Thailand to highlands, haven't been here in two years and sad to say it has deteriorated so fast. Place is poorly maintained, service is so slow and food was just bad. We ordered Chili fries, squid balls and nachos. Both the chili fries and nachos tasted old, definitely not something I'd expect from a high end membership club and the squid balls were okay but then again not something I'd expect from highlands. Food took so long and wasn't even hot when it arrived. Very sad to see this place the way it is now, used to be "the place" to go to for long weekends and holidays. read more

Me and my friends had to attend a wedding inside Tagaytay Highlands. Aside from the view overlooking Taal Lake and the city there's nothing else impressive about this place. From the customer service down to their facilities, everything sucked. Right upon checking in we were informed that there will be additional charges for the rooms we booked and havent even set foot in yet. No other amenities were included. No breakfast No wifi. It was basically just a room rate. And with those prices they ask for their units you'd expect a high quality service but No. The thermos, microwave, phone to connect to the help desk were all not working, airconditioning unit was leaking and no WATER in shower. Faucets would have a weak dribble and the water heater was also not functioning. The whole experience was a total shitfest. We had to use the bathrooms from another unit. The next day upon checking out we told the front desk about these issues most especially about the water and all they can do was shrug their shoulders off. To top it all off they accused us of stealing A piece of Bath towel from the unit which to say the least were all old. Adding another $30 on the bill. No compromise was made. They were not even remotely sorry for not having running water in the unit. Which was freaking more important than a piece of bath towel. The next day we checked in a different hotel which was waaaaay better than this shithole. I suggest you check in other hotels around the area. Not as expensive and shitty as this one. read more

One of the favorite places for couples to get married at in Tagaytay is Tagaytay Highlands, more specifically at the Tagaytay Midlands veranda. The exclusivity of the place attracts those who want an intimate wedding without fear of gatecrashers, as the security in the property is quite tight. Aside from the beautiful view of the golf course, the Veranda is in close proximity to the Madre de Dios Chapel, which makes it even more convenient, not to mention practical, to have their wedding there. The drop-off point is very close to the function area so it's very convenient especially for the older guests. There is also ample parking space for owner-driven cars. Cocktails can be held either at the lobby right before the function hall, or at the garden near the golf course. Beware though, during the colder "ber" months, the wind can get pretty menacing here so best to warn guests or bring a shawl or jacket with you. read more
