What I like about the place is that the compound, small as it is, offers a diverse selection of restaurant and speakeasies for various age groups and budget range - from the small carinderia in the middle of the parking lot to the high end menu of Bugsy's and Barcino. The only trouble with this place is the lack of parking. It can get full easily specially after 6 pm.Corporate slaves (usually with cars) go to the compound to take the edge off after a long day of work. But whichever drink or food you're going for, whether just to chill or to stress eat, wine or dine, City Golf has something to offer.

It's located a bit farther, in the hills of Antipolo, but I think that contributes to a more naturally beautiful landscape for the golf greens. Valley Golf's much more dedicated to golf actually, and despite having that more laidback "personality," it still has regular patrons from oldtimer members and their guests to newbies. It consistently gets full on weekends! I've never tried golfing myself and have always just gone straight to the club's swimming pool, haha. I like that pool because there are hardly any people and you can just do laps or float along to your heart's content. Once, my friends and I even set up a blanket poolside for tanning. Haha! It's that private. The maintenance staff generally leave you alone once you show up there, but a lifeguard immediately pops up. The pool's big and kidney-shaped, and goes pretty deep at the farther end so be careful. There's a kiddie pool over on one side though for children. Shower & changing rooms are right there too, separate from the golf showers. The amenities at Valley Golf are pretty dated but they've steadily been improving through the years. The men's and women's locker rooms have been refurbished, and so have the gym and lobby/reception area. The restaurant's also been renovated and a new caterer currently services it. Good stuff! You can even have them serve the food poolside. There's also a gym somewhere, a golf shop, lounges, and function halls where you can hold events. Valley Golf's always a great lazy weekend hangout.

However, if you are an avid golfer you don't care about these things and you just need high quality equipment. That, they offer! The lay-out of the store is not that appealing, but the staff is friendly and can assist you and show you their the broad scope of international brands in golf equipment and accessories. Some of the brands they carry: Ping, Fitleist, Yamaha, Dunlop etc.

Quality is the most important thing for this company and it shows in the golf equipment they make. Their Grain Flow Forged irons are used by professional golfers, such as Tiger Woods and various others celebs. They also sell high quality golf clothes and other accessories. It's a pleasure browsing in the store because there is a good flow for your eyes and the items are displayed in an attractive manner. The staff is humble and supportive.

The course is flat but it has several water hazards on the fairways and bunker around the greens If you're a long hitter, you can reach some of the par 4s in one. They have some holes where you have to lay up to reach the greens. Unfortunately, we played when the greens were just aerated. So it's hard to putt to the holes. In general, this course is good for both beginners and novice golfers. The greens are challenging to putt as they require you to read the breaks to the hole. After a round, of course, you can enjoy a nice meal at their clubhouse. If you live in the city and don't want to travel far, Veterans GC is a nice public GC and the rates are reasonable.

This course is an interesting - but not too picturesque place to golf - as it's just outside the walled city. It's just by the side of the main road - which can be not such good news if you're into a quiet game without much distraction. However, this 18 hole and par 66 course is quite affordable. The caddies cost 300 bucks and the umbrella person is 350 bucks. If you're a resident, then you've got it cheaper as rates start at only 1,500! If you're into night golfing, Club Intramuros Golf Course, provides that for you as well!
