Initially upon moving to the area, I began at a different studio and was very unhappy with my experience. In search of a better facility, I located Taekwondo Center of McDonough and explained my concerns from the last class. James, one of the instructors, was very patient in answering all of my questions. After consideration, I decided to give this studio a shot and boy am I glad I did! Before beginning the private lesson that I had scheduled for only my children, I was able to watch some of the other students in action during a belt/physical test. This inspired me to take the class for myself as well! We've finished our quick-start program this week and my children and I have all felt great and motivated after each class. They play energizing music during the warm-up and the exercises are fun! Classes are separated by age groups but they're integrated between all belt levels and I really appreciate that higher level students in their black-belt club help instruct newer students in class, too. It's very much a team atmosphere. Their motto is "A black belt is just a white belt that never quit" and I really like the focus on respect and discipline. They alternate instructors through the week between Master Huynh and the instructor James. I've really enjoyed classes by both and I value that they have the traditional values of martial arts in their program. If you're looking to challenge yourself and learn the true art, this is the place to go!

The kids had a great time and it was so impressive to see most of the kids who had never even been to a Tae Kwon Do class completing all the movements and exercise. The instructors/hosts, Mitchell and Chandler were extremely professional and related very well to all of the kids. They kept them engaged and entertained the entire time. The kids were exhausted but clearly had a fantastic day. I was also impressed with the over all discipline, respect and good manners that Tae Kwon Do teaches. I would highly recommend Master Shims for anyone looking for a healthy outlet for their children.

I called again no response then I called just an hour ago at 7:52 PM I get a response. It is Troy B. He answers with an attitude yelling at me saying that I've been calling four times and that he doesn't have time to talk to me because he is busy with his class in a awful attitude and hangs up on me. My little brother doesn't go to his classes for free. We also pay there's no reason for him to yell at me know anybody else for him as the owner should respond with a good attitude and say I'm sorry we have been busy. that's the reason why we haven't been able to answer you. I'll give you a call back in a little if that's OK with you but no, he decides to yell at me like if I'm one of his students so if he yelled at me, can you just imagine how he is with his students! It is unbelievable!! +1 (404) 512-9882 as you can see same number!!

The school teaches a modern practical application of several martial arts disciplines and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable. Each student is treated as an individual, with their own unique limitations and abilities, and is tested and evaluated accordingly. My own kids, who have attended Oh Do Kwan for many years, have benefited from the discipline, fitness, stress management, mental focus, and self confidence that taekwondo training achieves. This is an honest program; not an assembly line "exercise class" that awards meaningless colored belts. In this school, each promotion is earned. The proof is in the tournament results, where Oh Do Kwan consistently scores well at all levels of competition with other schools. The school is also like a "family", where the instructors, students, and parents are all dedicated to the success of every student. Without reservation, I recommend this school to anyone considering martial arts training for themselves or their children.
