He was so gentle with both our babies and they look great! We are grateful to have a quality groomer that comes to you. He also does a great job with my father's older small dog. All our dogs are short haired and do not require specialty breed specific cuts. As with any grooming service we use, the fur is never completely dry. It drys out our furbabies skin to keep a dryer on them too long. Brian is a very gentle and kind individual. We appreciate him.

I volunteer here and it's great. The workers are very nice, and you always have something to do, weather it's walking the dogs, doing the laundry, or cleaning the litter boxes, it shows how much these people do every day. For anyone reading this, I would love if you were to be a volunteer because it's fun and it helps these people out a ton. 5 stars.

I offered to take him to whichever vet was preferred and ended up at Newville Animal Hospital. Service was quick and friendly. I liked Lexi, the vet tech, who listened carefully while I explained my concerns. The tech trainees were also friendly, attentive, and careful when handling Mr. Hunter. Dr. Hasco was great -- very friendly, gentle, and I appreciated how he listened, carefully, to understand our concerns and Mr. Hunter's symptoms. In the end, treatment was minimal and seemingly effective and he's back with mom and doing fine but the visit offered some assurance and peace of mind while I had custody of Mr. Hunter. Finally, this is a veterinarian without pretense -- unlike, perhaps, some more fancy offices closer to Camp Hill (Im thinking of Good Hope in particular). There's no free coffee or fireplace but there are small bottles of refrigerated water; instead, the office is comfortable, clean, and efficiently run. I do wish there was a way to divide for noisy animals versus quiet ones but otherwise no complaints.

Never again. This place should be shut down. I arrived for what was my dog's first day of doggy…read moredaycare at Bark Central (Chambersburg) and the staff arrived from a back room, took my dog's leash from me without making eye contact or acknowledging me, and took her to the back for her day of day care. There's no clear view of the daycare portion of this place. The fence outside has an ugly black tarp all the way around it, and the inside is very closed off. I had that really uneasy feeling but thought it was just "first time mom" nerves. I had seen good reviews about this place, and it was really busy with several people dropping their dogs off for the day, so I figured I was just being overly protective and was just in the middle of the morning chaos. When I arrived in the afternoon to pick my dog up, they brought her out to me caked in mud and smelling like dog pee. She looked as if she was on the bottom of a dog pile getting pummeled by other dogs all day. My dog, who never wants to leave anywhere that I take her, was desperately trying to get into my car before I could even get the door open. This review unfortunately doesn't stop here. I got my dog home and gave her a much-needed bath because of all the caked on mud and smelling like dog pee, and as I was washing her paws I noticed LARGE slices in BOTH sets of pads on the bottom of her paws. It truly looked like someone took a knife and sliced my dog's paws open. I had to take her to the vet and they said that if the cuts had gone any deeper it could have caused significant tissue damage. When I called Bark Central to speak with someone about my dog's injuries, I was told by the staff on the phone that my dog had been playing on the "gravel lot" and the gravel may have cut her feet. No concern on the other end of the line, no apologies or offering to make the situation better. I was given the runaround - "I'll tell the manager to call you." I never received a return phone call. Needless to say, my dog will never return to this awful place, but I will tell everyone that I know to never take their dog to this hell hole. Listen to your gut, and ask for a proper tour.

It's great for pet supplies, and they have tons of fish. Great selection for small pet supplies, they have tons and it's often cheaper than PetSmart. If you have a pond or want to start one, they have lots of supplies for that as well. My husband often goes in for "one thing" and ends up looking around for awhile. The cashiers and staff are all friendly, and if you need help finding something, there is always someone nearby to help. While they do sell pets, it's not like most stores selling pets. Their kittens are often strays they find which are tame and friendly. When we can, we like to go to Franklin instead of chain stores. Prices are comparable, and sometimes lower than chains.
