Worth the Drive!…read more Five stars for the flavor, composition, and size of the meal. $3 bucks gets you a hotdog and frys. Location on yelp map a bit off. You need to drive south on the street half way down the block. The truck is actually a VW Bus converted to a food truck. Cool look and a bucket list style food destination. The Hot Dogs: I had both kinds. The Mex (4*)which has avocado and grilled onions. Was very good. The Bread was flavorful, chewy, and dense. The hot dog tasted great, unorthodox style as if a Polish dog was cut down the middle and fried on a flat grill. Crisp outer texture and clearly a good quality pork dog. They have chicken but went with the pork. I liked it. Second dog: (5*) Same flavorful bread and hot dog. Mushrooms and a chipotle sauce. This dog was EPIC. The flavor and consistency was excellent from start to finish! I totally recommend this dog, slightly better than the MEX dog. French Fries: these potatoes are like homemade steak Fries. Pre baked or boiled then cut and fried. Thick and hearty with some crisp, salt and pepper. Pretty good but better fresh. I had to take mine to go so I don't blame them for not being super crisp due to the steam in the Styrofoam to go tray. They serve Hamburgers but went for the Dogs. Bring cash. Go there, expect a good Hot Dog. Eat, repeat!

Order what you want from each booth, and they give you a ticket to take to the cashier, and a table number so the waiter knows where to bring your food. We ordered from 3 different booths. It is an outdoor forum, but there is some indoor seating. It just makes for a really lovely experience when the weather is balmy. We sampled a few different tacos: The meat on the Taco de New York from La Taqueseria was just a little tough, but still very good. The Taqueso de Camaron from La Taqueseria might be the absolute best comfort food I have ever had in my life!!! The Pulpo (Octopus) Taco from Walter was surprisingly very good. The Cucumber mint lemonade was surprising. It took me a few sips to realize it wasn't loaded down with sugar, just fresh, natural flavors blending together. And, toward the bottom of the cup, I realized I liked it much better without a ton of sugar.

The day was just beginning, so I opted for an 8oz lager from Insurgente to start the day. Service from the bar was friendly - the bartender provided multiple tasters and recommendations. This crisp and refreshing definitely hit the spot for under $2. My friend had a trio of tacos and sangria. The food was fairly priced, came out quickly, and tasty (I tried a bite). Definitely an option to keep in mind for group dining. Looking forward to returning to try out more!

To our surprise, this place was located in a locals flee market. We had to find parking about a half mile away and turn our map on to find the exact point! Shoutout to the previous review for mapping this location almost exactly! All we needed to do was ask some of the vendors there where this place was, and sure enough we found it! This place is literally where locals eat! We were definitely lost in the crowd as tourists, but that's definitely the stuff I like to try when visiting a new place! We ordered two kilos of carnitas, which in turn could have easily fed a group of 30 people! The two kilos of carnitas came with handmade tortillas, salsa, and all the fixings for a fine carnitas taco! Not to mention the price was less than 25 bucks! Be sure to let them know what cut of the carnitas you're looking for, or else they'll just mix it with other parts of the pork that are more questionable.

Some of the best Birria ever and we found it by accident on the way back from my son's orthodontist. Just tremendous birria (Mexican barbecued goat) - the taste was not crazy strong but just right. It was advertised as "by my mother-in-law's recipe" and it definitely was great. In addition the salsa, especially the peanut one (shown in the small bowl in the photo) was spicy and great. Our son loved his quesadillas as well. And if you don't know us, my wife is born and raised in Baja California, Mexico so she knows good birria! One of the guys there (the son in law) speaks fluent English so fear not fellow gringo! The tacos are made with double tortilla, to hold all of plentiful grilled meats, topped with onions, cilantro & guacamole.
