    Veggie burrito.

On the corner of S Wilton Pl and Wilshire Blvd. Quick service. Cash or Zelle options available. $10 for veggie burrito. Cheese is fried onto the tortilla filled with tons of veggies. So many options for salsa and sauces.

Best pastor and agua frescas in the area. Here at least once a month!

Best street al pastor taco contest. Geography: Hollywood. LaBrea - Hollywood / Franklin - Western - Santa Monica Contestant #3. Located on Yucca at Cahuenga right by the 24 hours CVS Pharmacy parking lot, this taco stand stands out by its al pastor marinate. I think they hit the jackpot. I don't come here often, but when I do they have always been there. Even on week nights. Not sure what time they wrap it up, but if I were to guess it's midnight during week nights and up to 2AM on weekend nights depending on the customer traffic. You can park in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot which always looks half empty but stay vigilant because they do tow and those tow trucks are always around the corner. The marinate is great and that makes a very flavorful al pastor but.. I didn't get the char bite I was looking for this time.. unlike the time before. There's a long table for sit down customers. $2.5 for a taco al pastor Oct, 2024

Tacos Pinguino is a Taco stand in front of CVS Pharmacy it's definitely a Hidden gem in Hollywood if you craving tacos! They're open 7 days a week from 6pm-midnight. My first time here I tried their carne asada y cabeza (cows head) tacos. Each taco was $2.50 which was a good price in my opinion since I was a street away from Hollywood blvd. Good customer service and they have tables in the side to enjoy your food. So definitely give them a try if you're near by the area.

So tasty!! Easily one of the best taco stands I've been to in LA. I always get their al pastor or cabeza. Prices are very reasonable, too.

I'm picky, but Ave 26 delivers every single time. It's super affordable, open 24/7, and there's always plenty of parking, which is a huge win in LA. Plus, it's honestly one of the best spots in town for people-watching while you eat. Let's talk favorites. My absolute must-order is their al pastor burrito with everything. It comes loaded with tons of smoking hot, perfectly seasoned al pastor meat, melted cheese, and incredible flavor. To top it off, they have a solid lineup of tasty salsas and spicy condiments to customize every bite just how you like it. Whether you're wrapping up a late night out or looking for the perfect spot to celebrate after a Dodgers game, Ave 26 has got you covered. Get out there after the win and grab a burrito -- you'll thank me later.

It smelled amazing and everyone working there is super nice. The tacos are $2 & filled with meat. I ordered 4, but only finished 2 and the next day the corn tortillas held up so well after I reheated it. Which is solid because most street tacos tortillas will usually fall apart. They had option of hot sauces, including a mild cactus hot sauce. Also a variety of toppings you can stick In a little bag instead of using those plastic ramekins. This is a cash only establishment but they take Venmo. I will absolutely be back more often since I usually never have cash on me, which is why I didn't go over before. This is truly such a LA Vibe for amazing street food.

I ordered four tacos in total: two al pastor tacos, one lengua, and one cabeza taco. You start by ordering on the left side of the stall, pay for your food, and work your way right where all the garnishes and sauces are. Of the tacos I tried, my favorite was by far the cabeza. The meat was fatty and rich and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I would definitely recommend a squeeze of lime and raw diced onions to help cut the richness for a more balanced bite. With the al pastor, Brothers Cousins has a bunch of meat already sliced and diced up on the grill top, which unfortunately means unless you're getting the pieces of meat that are directly contacting the grill, you're not going to get the crispy bits that make al pastor so delicious. You do get a piece of pineapple with the al pastor, so that's a nice touch. Not my al pastor, but far from the worst. Overall, I cannot recommend Brothers Cousins enough if you're in this area -- the tacos here are seriously delicious and you're getting insane value. I hope they're able to maintain the $2 price point well into the future.

Nonetheless, the pastor was still amazing and it's great that they add copious amounts of meat on there. The various toppings and hot sauces are also very delicious, albeit the light orange mayo looking sauce is SPICY and unassuming...beware! Light green avocado looking sauce definitely saved my life. My friend also got a burrito and I heated it up the next day to enjoy and it still tasted awesome. My review might be slightly skewed as Mexican food is depressing up in Canada so any semblance of authentic Mexican food gets me going. I will have to return to LA soon...just for the tacos here.

I do like how they grill their meat though and they use the tortillas to scoop up the meat on the grill. Thought the al pastor was a bit salty and the cheese did not add much flavor to it, but that's probably a good thing considering the saltiness of the meat. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. Ambience is very casual and it's a stand while eating type of situation. Service was quick.

The food cart specializes in blue corn quesadillas. The food cart has been around for 20 years and is now run by Alejandra's daughter. [Parking]: Metered street parking is available or just park at LADOT Lot 643. [Atmosphere]: Takeout only and our party ended up eating the quesadilla in my car. [Ordering]: One of the ladies took my order and another lady did the grilling. Once the quesadillas are ready, customers can add various condiments like cactus, mild salsa, red salsa, and cilantro. The cart is quite popular and our party had to wait approximately 15 minutes on Sunday at 6:15 PM. All quesadillas are cooked to order and the lady manually pressed every blue corn tortilla by hand. [Menu]: The cart offers chicken, pork, chorizo, squash blossoms (flor de calabaza), chicharrón, potato, and huitlacoche (corn smut, or the "Mexican truffle"). Customers can mix and match fillings like chorizo and potato. *** Squash Blossom Quesadilla ($8): The order came with an extra piece of skirt steak. This quesadilla tasted much better than I had expected and it was actually quite delicious. I was a big fan of the mild green salsa and it definitely enhanced the overall flavor. *** It was an unexpected street food find and I can actually see myself revisiting this food cart and try different quesadilla options whenever I am in the Echo Park area.
