I've been going to Tio's tacos for years now. Always good food and service at the El Segundo location. This is only my second time at the one in Gardena. I live a few blocks away, but never noticed how close it was. Much closer than the other one. This place is clean, friendly, the menus seems smaller though. No combos here, everything is sold separately. I read many of the reviews about along sure to get the receipt, I had no problems with that. I placed two orders. One was an order of carne asada fries and two tacos de pollo with a flan, total was about $25 and change. Mom forgot to she wanted a drink, so my second order I got her an aqua de melon which was $6 and change. No problem with printing the first receipt, second one got stuck in the machine and cashier had to get help from someone in the back. After a few seconds it printed out just fine. They were really friendly about it, I like to save my receipts for the app Fetch, so I can get my points towards free gift cards. Food was delicious, as always. This was my first time trying the asada fries. Didn't realize that the cheese wasn't shredded cheese, but instead it was nacho cheese sauce. Which I am not a fan of. I prefer the real thing. So I give it a 8/10 it would be even better if they added real shredded cheese *hint hint* read more

The place was very clean including the restroom. I have to check restrooms since I'm a paying customer but they can keep an eye out from paper towels to dry your hands with. The lady who served me was attentive to me and their food was good. I must say their tacos are a bit pricey. read more

Zero stars. Illegal business practices. I tried being a good patron for you guys since you opened but wow. You really took the cake this time. You guys have gone way too far. Ask for a receipt y'all. You'll see they come up with an excuse as to why they cannot produce a receipt. Which is illegal. They must write one out on paper for you if they can't produce one on the register. Terrible customer service. They won't give you a receipt ON PURPOSE because they are gauging you with fake fees and taxes. Report them to the CDTFA. Vampiros used to be 4.25. Last week I was charged $7 for a medium agua Fresca. I was in a hurry, which they bank on, and I didn't notice until I got to my destination. Today I was charged almost $8 dollars for ONE vampiro which is listed at $5 and change on their menu outside. The cashier was rude and said well I don't know what the menu says outside but those are the prices on my side. So that's what it costs. I went back and took a photo. You can see they tried adding $2 dollars for a $5 dollar item. Illegal. Take your money elsewhere. She gets her "carnitas" burrito and it's more like a Bean Burrito with cilantro onions scraps of fat and hardly any meat. Who doesn't like Tacos El Tio Right ??? If you're from Inglewood, you know this is the spot. However quite disappointed in this newer location in Gardena on Vermont. I've been here 3 times and in ALL 3 my order has been wrong when it has been clearly ordered and verified by the order taker. Either the cook can't read or understand or clearly they don't give a " tihs" about their customers! Check your order before you leave or you will find yourselves eating something you did not order!! I went here late around 9 o'clock on Friday night to get some last-minute food. I got two Carnitas tacos with everything the tacos were very full and meaty but we're not the best I've ever had and I also got a chicken and cheese quesadilla for my kids my kids love the quesadilla, they intercom for the drive-through was broken so there was someone standing outside taking orders. There's also deleted reviews where someone complained about the service (not the first complaint about service here) & the owner responded in a very rude and unprofessional way. This place has no rice at all! Not authentic Mexican food and their burritos are expensive for their portions. They often give you a single salsa per order (and I mean if you order maybe 5 plates you get maximum of 2 or 3 salsas) & you have to pay for more. Came here for the first time today ! Service is great and the restaurant is really clean ! The food taste great ! I have been to "el Tio tacos " on Vanness but the the salsa doesn't taste as good . I came here and the salsa taste just as good as the original on imperial in Hawthorne ! I will most defiantly be coming back to this location ! Also wasn't as busy as other locations ! I understand that this is new location, but really they need to hire more people here. Like the other review said it takes long time to get your order because while i am waiting for my order, i had moment when i was thinking of driving off and i saw the 2 cars down, he backed out and left. I only saw 1 lady working and hoped there are others in the back actually cooking instead of her alone. Also, when i got my order (1 burrito and taco), she only gave 1 small salsa for both of my husband and me. When i asked for more, she said it is $0.50 for each. Are you serious?
