You know when you find a food truck you absolutely love and will drive far to get some? That's Taco El Tapatío. We live about 20ish minutes away from Yukon and we will still drive out to eat some flavorful tacos. Be prepared to see an auto shop with the truck inside a chain gated area. The road into it is TERRIBLE. Don't quickly drive into it because you'll miss the HUGE potholes and may regret it lol only reason for docking a star is cause the location is terrible in terms of driving through those huge potholes and navigating them. It's seriously like a landmine. Their salsa is delicious. I prefer the green salsa over the red as I'm not a fan of the smoky flavor/chipotle but both are still flavorful. The tacos are soooo good. Totally spiced and full of flavor on the meats. The burrito is HUGE. The quesadilla was a little bit more greasy than I preferred but it was because it was packed with loads of cheese and meat so you can't be mad. Support this local food truck! This is my first taco spot I'm trying in OK coming from CA. I couldn't believe the prices!!! Usually when you see prices like this the meat quality is horrible. In Los Angeles you can find bomb tacos anywhere and these tacos were actually pretty good! For the price, the meat is decent. They came with a red and green sauce. This is the 2nd time in 2 days that we've eaten and thoroughly enjoyed the food here. We lived in San Miguel de Allende for a few months and learned what authentic Mexican should taste like, but we missed the TexMex. Living in Texas taught us what fabulous TexMex should taste like. We have a favorite taco truck by the office and the new guy asked if we had ever been to the truck in Yukon. Being a taco truck addict, I took the first opportunity to hunt this truck down. I wish I could have snapped at least one picture before the food basically was inhaled. We have been back a few times and get a picture of a single taco is like trying to get a picture of Bigfoot. Seriously we just eat everything too fast! I really like the carnitas street tacos. The hubs gets the beef; which are also delicious. They have a covered area with picnic tables and a large fenced in parking area. They offer bottled sodas and water. PS I'm a super sissy when it comes to the the "mild" green sauce. read more

I go by there regularly and always get extra and just reheat any leftovers in a pan with a little butter to crisp up the tortillas! Love it! Tacos are small. Meats a touch too chewy. Flavors are good, not great, but good. Al pastor had the best flavor of the bunch. Carne asada was seasoned right but a bit overcooked and tough. Everything was better with those excellent salsas of theirs. Especially the green tomatillo salsa, one of the tastiest around. Tortillas are store bought but grilled just right to hold up well. Also too few escabeche were included, no grilled onions, no toreodos. Only one lime wedge for four tacos, and they didn't give me the extra salsas I asked for. The woman taking orders has a lot of trouble hearing so be sure to speak up. Parking lot is awful. We were nearly backed into by another car. Cars park too close and flood the truck with exhaust fumes. The last big issue I have is it is takeaway only, lacking any tables or seating, nothing. And no shade from the 102 degree summer heat. There is easily room for at least one picnic table and possibly a shade canopy. Or just use the shade of the neighboring building. They definitely need to spend some money and improve their space. Cash only. No flour tortillas. Those were the two unknowns for me leading up to my visit to TET1, so now you know! We got two taco platters and decided on a selection of pollo, asada, lengua, and al pastor tacos. Despite not being a corn tortilla fan, the tortillas themselves were soft without being overly-flaky and textured which, in turn, helped soak up all the meat-juices nicely. I get annoyed eating corn tortillas because they're much more prone to splitting but I didn't have that issue on this occasion. The meat in each taco also tasted fresh and had great flavor without being overly salty, especially the al pastor. The tacos were great, though a tiny bit too greasy and small (another reason I'm not big on corn tortillas). The guys in the truck were also friendly and quick to serve, and answered any questions I had about the menu. I love that Yukon has its own authentic taco truck, no overpriced Mexican food like other Mexican places in town. Mexican street tacos are meant to be small and never to be eaten on flour tortillas so if that's your expectation go to a Tex mex place where you'll find giant food portions and over priced food. This is also your classic food truck where you pick up and eat at home, some have seating others don't. For how affordable their menu is, I am pleased with the food!
