I visited taco El superior on Palmdale Blvd. and 5th St., East never in life again will I visit I live a half a block from them but I think I'll cross the street to get a burrito from their competition because apparently when they're an hour away from closing they're saving meat so they fill your burrito with rice and beans with a sprinkle of meat and when I went back they refused to make me another burrito instead of giving me my money back I can't eat my money I wanted a burrito. FOOD! We ordered 12 tacos de birria. I've been to other Tacos Superior in Lancaster and Tehachapi. The meat portions are always nice and hefty. These tacos had about half the meat that I am normally accustomed to receiving from the above mentioned locations. Normally the workers are polite and attentive and ask us if we need cilantro and cebolla . These workers at the Palmdale location did not offer us any toppings or sauces whatsoever for out tacos. I don't mind paying a little extra for the toppings. However, I believe it is the workers duty to be courteous and attentive to the needs of the customer. In short , I expected a more and I am utterly disappointed at this location. Especially when each taco is priced at $3.69 each. There are many choices out there for the same price or less. I've been coming here literally every weekend since I've discovered this place... yes, I've been traveling every weekend from San Fernando Valley to eat these tacos. So, I get there today (Sunday, April 18th) and I discover that there is no longer indoor dinning (just the past weekend I was sitting in there, ordering my first round of tacos and then ordering again for my cold brew and dessert). I then order Tacos Dorados de Papa and they tell me they discontinued them and just last week they had them... Then I decide to order some Asada Nachos and they tell me they don't have any! YUM! I went on a taco truck tour around the AV during COVID, and these tacos were definitely el superior. They give you really good helping of to-go sides of cilantro and onion and LOTS of lime. Just moved to the AV from the valley and tried a couple of taco spots but this is by far the best! The food is BOMB.COM especially the al pastor and chorizo! The wife loves the al pastor fries and my fat ass makes my way through the whole menu! The service is also always on point and even though they always have a crowd, they keep it moving at a good pace! Also, they do a great job making you feel safe during the times of the RONA! I was sipping the cosome when I found a long human hair mixed in the meat at the bottom of the container. I took it to the front and showed the staff. They looked super embarrassed and I know it wasn't that girls fault directly so I didnt give her a hard time. She offered me another container. My fiancé was told about this truck from a worker at our bank and we searched them up on Instagram and decided to try them out. I've never been a fan of al pastor, I've tried so many places and it was always so gross to me but man. After I tried these I fell in love! The meat, to the sauce to the pineapple all the way down to the tortilla, MOUTH WATERING. We've tried all the meats, all of the items on the menu and we've never been disappointed. We come at least once a week and we've even driven to Lancaster to get tacos! (We live in East Palmdale) We tried going to another "popular" food truck in the AV once and after one taco we were regretting going there sand went back to superior after. This is by far our favorite taco truck EVER! I do have to say yesterday's visit topped it all off, while my fiancé was waiting for our food he was talking with Nelson and while we were eating in our car he brought us nachos! SO FREAKING SWEET! I honestly expected way more because they were hyped up so much but they we very basic. The mulitas were very dry and the tortillas were very hard/ stale.
