    Carne asada Carmelo with guacamole
    Brandi D.

Thank you Daniel for amazing service! My family loved this place. They ordered pastor tacos and quesadillas! I ordered low carb carne asada with guacamole and cilantro and dipped it with the cucumber! So amazing!!!

Theeee best al pastor tacos! In fact, my mouth is watering right now as I sit at my desk back in Tucson. Like most taco places in Puerto Penasco, it's pretty simple. Good meat, good flavor, a hot grill, cold sodas and servers with smiles. Tacos El Poblano has DEE-licious al pastor. There's just something about walking in and seeing that giant spit of meat roasting over the fire. All tables are given a bowl of fresh cut cucumber slices and a condiment tray with salsas. The red is hot so be careful! Between my husband and I we ordered enough carne asada and el pastor tacos to feed a small army but they are just that good! Don't pass this place without stopping in!

    Al Pator taco and vampiro!

If you are looking for quality street food at a very affordable price, Tacos El Poblano is the place. Their Al Pastor is cooked to perfection. We also tried the Carne Asada which had a nice smokey flavor that I have never tasted at other taco shops. This place is right up there with some of our other favorites. Just make sure you go to the "El Original" location as other El Poblanos are not the same.

Tacos were delicious, very accommodating to our small girls. Grilled onions, jalapeño, salsas, radishes, limes, and cucumbers on a tray. Corn tortillas made fresh for your order. Close to Las Palomas. Will go again.

Two types of tacos: carne asada or el pastor

Tacos were ok, nothing crazy. The staff and service were great. They were friendly. The whole place is basically outdoors so it was nice to eat somewhere where we felt safe during Covid.

These are the best tacos hands down. The negative reviews are people that confuse the restaurant with another one with similar name. This is for Tacos El Poblano NOT Poblano"S". Trust me this is good. This tacos are on the main road when driving into Penasco just past Sams Club on the left hand side. Order the tacos with corn tortillas they are fresh hand made. We have been stopping here for years, always good.

Love these tacos! This place is quick and easy--they have the streetest street tacos and they come with delicious topping to make them just how you like them. The highlights are the corn tortillas and the pastor tacos. It's a must-do when in or going through town in Rocky Point.

Caramelo de al pastor. Soo good!!!

Delicious tacos!!!! My favorite was the caramelo de asada & caramelo de al pastor (cheese, meat, onion, guacamole, cilantro and salsa). The address is a little off, apparently their location 5 years ago was the address on Yelp.

    The meat. Pastor!

This could be the best pastor taco o have ever had. I think the trick is they shave the meat off right off of the spit where they are roasting it. Immediately the guy puts it in a hot tortilla puts guacamole and onions fresh cilantro on it and it comes out to the table in 30 seconds. These are fantastic tacos with fresh guacamole and three outstanding salsas you may be the only gringo there but it's totally worth going to this place.

Went here twice on our trip to Puerto Peñasco and the tacos are very good. I asked at least 15 locals where to get the best tacos al pastor, and each of them said Tacos el Poblano. Tacos are 20 pesos each, tasty, and the place is very clean. Conveniently located if you are staying in the condos at Sandy Beach

    Tacos de Asada, sabrosos!

We ordered the Vampiro with papas (285 pesos), a carne asada taco (40 pesos), and a quesadilla with carne (70 pesos) and 2, 12-ounce Mexican Cokes (60 pesos). Altogether, we spent $22.22 for lunch. We noticed on this trip that Rocky Point prices were very similar to what we were spending in the United States. This place is very clean and we sat at the inside dining. Note: they only take cash here, DO NOT order assuming you can use a debit card. They are generous with the topping tray, which includes: lettuce, 2 salsa, an avocado sauce, limes, and cucumbers. To be honest, these are large portions and we would have been full with just the Vampiro with potatoes. The Cokes with real cane sugar are always better than our American ones with high fructose corn syrup. A small portion of the beef was a little grisly with fat. I subtracted one star for this and the fact that they ONLY take cash. This is a decent, clean eatery. They offer their entire menu with either corn or flour tortillas. Come hungry because the plates are large!

Pollo Lucas has been in the community for decades and they seem like a staple related to fresh chicken in the town. Similarly to other places, there are vendors and men outside who want cash for helping you park. The seating inside offers a lot of spots, but vendors do come inside and ask if you're interested in purchasing other goods. This restaurant does take card payments, but prefer cash/pesos. Most of the workers do not know English, so be prepared and know at least some basic Spanish words beforehand. If not, it'll still be okay! The women at the counter were very kind and helped us get seated. My group shared one chicken (240 pesos) with rice, beans, and salsas. I grabbed a homemade juice that was yummy too. Note that the chicken comes with cabbage, onion, salsa, limes, and tortillas but the other sides are seperate. The chicken was so hot, fresh, and flavorful. Everything was delicious and we ate it all with no leftovers. The chicken is charbroiled and you can see it all cooking. It made it hard to wait for the food, as it smelled amazing, but it's worth the wait. We'd 100% come back again.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

There is something magical about thinly sliced marinated pork on a vertical spit roasted over flame. My first issue with the pork is it was haphazardly cut with a dull knife and the bigger chunks were excessively chewy. Thin slices are perfect for the fatty pieces because pork needs fat! Not a deal breaker this would have been 5 stars up to this point. My biggest issue is buying almost 2 pounds of meat the condiments were dis-portionate. One and a half limes for this much meat. The shredded cabbage, pico, and cilantro barely covered 7 tacos, we still have 33 more to go. Minus the 20 tortillas they shorted us it was still not enough. Now we are down to 4 stars. Lastly the flavor was lacking. Maybe it is a geographical thing; dunno. What I do know is the tacos @ Rana's in Nogales taste pretty close to the ones @ Delicias in Acapulco 3,500 miles away. This was a boring taco. Maybe I should have got the chicken or carne, but chicken is usually overcooked for tacos. However, next time I will try something else and amend my review if needed.
