The restaurant was Mexican themed, but the tables were on the smaller side for our family of 5. We stopped in on a road trip for dinner around 7pm. The sun was shining in and there weren't blinds so it was roasting hot inside. Our waitress, Megan, was nice but every encounter was a bit odd. We ordered the chimichanga dinner with pastor, and 2 kids meals. We asked for silverware and were told, "I will bring your silverware with your plate unless you need it now for your chips and salsa." No big deal, however, when our plates arrived, I was given only a knife, my son a fork, and my daughter a spoon... we then received a confused look when we asked for more silverware. Our food was okay. The salsa was very watery but otherwise it was okay Nothing over the top amazing and nothing awful about it, it was just okay Mexican food.

Factory chips and most likely processed salsa.

I don't get it.... Seems like everything was from Gordon Food Service boxed Mexican rice and a big old one gallon can of refried beans. Nothing original about any of the food that I was served. They can do better and I can do better with Mexican food at other places around town. Won't be back here. Save your money for real authentic Mexican cuisine at a good place.

Subjective: After living in Southern California for a period of time, tacos have become a necessary staple of my diet, so going from having them on a weekly basis to not having any for more than 1 month was jarring! Seeking to fulfill the taco shaped need in my life, we found ourself at this Tacos El Cunado location- a chain throughout west Michigan. We dined in and service was prompt. I was pleasantly surprised by the tacos, my favorite being the fish and pastor, but disappointed by the burrito. The quesadilla (for the toddler mostly) and tamale were average. Overall, all the dishes were a little salty for my taste. The highlight of the meal was the horchata- both delicious and generous. Objective: Date of visit: 12/4/22 Previous visits: None Takes reservations/call aheads? Probably for takeout Parking: Lot Perceived capacity: Small Perceived atmosphere: Casual Wait time to seating: Seat yourself What I/we got: Horchata, 3 tacos (fish, pastor, asada), chicken tamale, quesadilla, burrito cost: ~$40 Assessment: 3 stars- solid taco option to quell the taco craving, but still searching for something that will more than just satisfy. Plan: Would return if circumstances led to it, even if it's just for the horchata.

Breakfast is my favorite meal and I love Mexican food, so when I heard there is a new Tacos El Cunado that serves breakfast, I couldn't wait to stop by. This location is right near 96 and Plainfield, in the Plainfield Plaza. There's lots of parking and the dining room is open for dine in. They also do takeout. Nate and I stopped in for breakfast on a weekend morning around 10:30 and there was only one other group inside. We were told to take a seat wherever we wanted and a server came over with menus, water, and chips and salsa. The menu is pretty large and they have a lot of specialty plates that sounded tasty. The breakfast options include tacos with assorted fillings, a burrito, breakfast plates like huevos rancheros and huevos con jamon, and pancakes. I got the breakfast tacos with bacon and eggs and Nate ordered a chorizo and egg burrito, as well as a large horchata. The horchata came out first and it was massive! I think it was probably 30+ ounces. It was creamy, sweet, and delicious. One of the best horchatas I've had! The flavor is similar to a chai tea, with a nice cinnamon flavor. Our food came out quickly and everything was super hot and fresh. The tacos come three to an order and they had a generous amount of bacon. The tortillas were fresh and soft, but not falling apart. While I enjoyed the tacos, the chorizo burrito was incredible! The refried beans inside made it super tasty and the chorizo itself was so flavorful. I loved that the burrito was grilled so it was warm and the cheese was melted. We saved half of the burrito to enjoy later and I just ate it cold at home - it was still delicious. I'd get this every time! The complimentary chips and salsa were just ok, but everything else was great. I chatted with our server who said they've only been open for a few months and tend to get pretty busy at lunch time, but they're not super busy around breakfast - so I'm glad to have discovered this spot! I'll definitely come by again for breakfast and to try some of their dinner items. We paid about $30 total for our meal. Super friendly staff and very clean restaurant.

Friendly workers tastefully decorated and clean. So much to choose from on the menu and they serve breakfast! I love their Chicken Chimichanga great taste shredded chicken and not dried out nice and moist. Their Shrimp Fajitas is another great choice nice big shrimp delicious. Both of these were served with rice and refried beans on the side. They also have dessert! If you leave from here hungry then you have a problem! We've never left here disappointed. On the corner of 3 Mile Rd NW and Alpine Ave.

My wife and I have gotten food here a few tines, and have always been happy with our orders. I've had a torta, Carne Alambre, cabeza taco and Camerones el rancheos. My wife's go to is the Pollo a la Mexicana.

First visit to this location. Sit down restaurant. Large menu. Wide variety of all the Mexican favorites. Chips were salty and crispy. The salsa was a bit spicy for me but I am a spice wimp. My husband enjoyed the bit of heat. The shrimp quesadilla was packed with shrimp and was crispy. Perfect size. The tacos are delicious. The enchiladas were filling and tasted great.

Breakfast: eggs w/chorizo, potato, crispy bacon, rice, flour tortilla. Yummy

Tacos are delicious. Al pastor. Or steak. Always add avocado. Always. But don't forget the salsas. Both reds and green. So good.

Honestly it was an incredible location for a space and had such a great vibe inside. My best friend is a regular at the restaurant and we're hoping to see them more in smaller capacities like when we saw them at the Fulton St. Market. Overall, the food was really good. I like the concept of fast-casual dining without the need to have a server. I think it allows things to feel more casual and allowed for me to be more willing to eat there (obviously in other circumstances lol). I got the horchata hot cakes with some of the papas with ghost sauce. I thought the pancakes were GREAT and more than worth it for the price. I was surprised how large and fluffy they were. The flavor was great without being too sweet and none of the flavors being too overpowering. My friends got the breakfast sandwiches and chaichata drinks and absolutely loved them. My friend loved her drink so much she got two within the span of us eating. I know it's a hard time for local businesses but I'm hoping there are more ways we can still see them around.

Different from the last time I was here but we were told to find a seat upon entering and that when we were ready, we could order our food at the counter. I looked over their menu and found lots of good breakfast taco options, the breakfast burrito I have heard is great, but what really caught my attention was the biscuits and gravy. I was feeling quite ravenous this morning and got the full order for $11 and a side of bacon. They had a table close to the entrance with extra menus, clean cups, water jugs, hot sauces, silverware and napkins. Seemed like a help-yourself vibe which I grabbed everything we would need for our meal. Our food was brought to us rather quickly and my bf ordered the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and sausage. He told me it tasted so good and he loved that he could make his own tacos with his food. He let me try one of the hashbrown rounds and it was perfectly crispy! My biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. The biscuits were so fresh and the gravy had a really nice and comforting flavor to it. You could get chorizo and mushrooms in your gravy but i went with a traditional sausage for my protein. My bacon on the side came in a tiny dish but I ate all four pieces haha. Once we finished, there were some bus bins under the same table with the silverware, we placed all our dirty dishes there and cleaned up after ourselves before leaving. I honestly felt so content leaving there and can't wait to return. I really appreciate the ambiance in there with the beautiful plant life, the lights on the ceiling, and cool decor in general. The staff was also SO NICE! Wins everywhere. I also noticed people coming in for takeout which is good to know in case I don't feel like dining in some morning. Please check this place out sometime if you're in the mood for some really good breakfast that doesn't break your bank account.

Service was quick, efficient, and everything came out to order. The food was good. We tried a protein bowl, a couple tacos, and a three buds dip trio. The Street Corn dip is amazing, but neither of us were fans of the dirty queso. There was a single piece of chicken in it, which was huge, just not super scoopable! Tacos were delicious. It's already summer at Condado, which also means $6 frozen margs! Of course, I had to indulge and the prickly pear lavender single-handedly will get me back to Condado all summer. My fiancé was eager to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs, so we were delighted to see that there were screens playing popular events and a couple shows to enjoy over dinner. This is a great mix between your typical bar & (non-authentic but tasty) Mexican cuisine.

We went for a family dinner on a Sunday with a group of seven, including two kids, and had a great experience from start to finish. Kids eat free on Sundays, which was such a nice surprise, and the kids' menu is generous with great options--an entrée, a side, and a drink. My husband and I also enjoyed flight night, which was a lot of fun. I tried the strawberry, prickly pear lavender, and harvest pear margaritas. They were all very good--while the prickly pear lavender sounded better than it tasted for me personally, it was still enjoyable. One of my favorite things about Condado is the customization. Their signature creations are great, but being able to build a taco exactly how I want it is my favorite part. And I could honestly live off their corn salsa--it's so good and always a must-have! The restaurant was super clean and not very busy when we visited, so we were seated right away and our food came out quickly. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, especially with our energetic little ones. It was also the first time our parents had eaten at Condado, and they loved it--they're already talking about going back to try more tacos and dips. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this location!
