We were told 15 minutes, it was just after 5 so I figured it wasn't busy yet, especially for a Monday in low season. I was there right on time and greeted promptly at the take out window. He told me the order wasn't ready but we could pay, so I did. I waited 5 to 10 minutes and the food came out in a big bag and drove it home. Food was plated up and we sat down to eat.... All the food was cold (barely warm to be fair)- beans, rice, tacos and kitchen special. Not even condensation on the take out packaging. The tortilla chips were warm, that's it. What was the wait for? Hard to tell if the food was actually good because it was cold. Warming in a microwave is not the same as warm fresh food, lettuce and tomatoes on tacos can't go into the microwave. We were very disappointed, dinner was $40 plus a tip, not sure if we will be back, lots of money for food not prepared properly. Food service basics- serve hot food hot and cold food cold.

I went back in and told them about the issue and they tossed a quesadilla on for me. It came up quickly and I was on my way. They were good about making it right. I got home and dove in. The birria taco looked great and also tasted great. The consume was on point as well. It was nice to find another solid option for birria close to St Pete. The chicken tinga was really tasty as was the carne asada & pastor. All of the tacos had a generous amount of filling. The birria quesadilla was hefty and quite filling. I had hoped it would be served with the consume, but it was not. They packed it with a solid amount of cheese and meat. The sauces that were served with the tacos and quesadilla all had great flavor and a decent amount of heat. Overall, the food was quite good. The chile relleno was on the smaller size, but very tasty. They had a few beers on tap, and mostly bottles. I was actually surprised to see the place being a little slow during lunch hour, but they might be new. Either way, if your looks for great Mexican food in St. Pete, then you need to give them a try.
