First time trying Taco Mania at Valley Fair, and I can't believe I waited this long! The tacos were absolutely to die for. I was so hungry that I completely forgot to take pictures because I started eating right away. Halfway through my meal I realized, "I should've snapped a few photos!" I'll definitely do that next time. The whole family loved it. My family ordered a variety of tacos, and my son got a burrito. Everyone kept saying it was some of the best Mexican food they've had in a long time. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I've always wanted to try Taco Mania, and I'm so glad I finally did. If you're at Valley Fair or in the West San Jose area, this place is definitely worth a visit. Went there Friday night at 8:12pm (when they closed at 9pm) and ordered 1 taco and 1 carne asada fries and while I am waiting for the food, I am informed that the fryer is off and they cannot make my carne asada fries. And that was fine since it was within an hour of closing and it seemed pretty slow that night. But then when I ask for a refund instead of getting different items, I'm told that the refund can only be in cash (when my original form of payment was card), and that it could only be in whole numbers. The carne asada fries were $17.66 or so, and then there was an additional $0.62 or so for some fee for the fries, and I was given $17 in cash with an apology. But then as I'm still waiting on my food, I went back and clarified why I got $17 when the approximate $17.66 + $0.62 was greater than the $17 and how I should've received at minimum $18 in cash. I received some looks from the staff, but I felt I had a right to receive my money back. The staff member making my taco was kind enough and gave me a second taco on the house, but I was extremely thrown off by how a chain restaurant at the mall cannot do refunds back to the original form of payment and how the staff aren't informed of what equipment/food is still available for order. The tacos themselves were fine. A taco was around $3 so it was fine for what was paid. read more

I always walk past this spot whenever I come to the mall, so I finally decided to try it today. I ordered the food on their website & pick it up whenever it's ready, which saves me time waiting in the store. I got the carne asada taco (bottom) and the birria taco (top). Honestly, it's pretty good, especially for mall food. I loved the grilled onions on the side, and the sauces were really flavorful too. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu! read more

This place is a Taqueria in Westfield Valley Fair Mall. Very easy to walk by because it's small and doesn't stand out but we noticed it, and it was delicious! We ordered a Suadero (beef brisket) Super Burrito with the flour tortilla toasted with their rice and beans and it was delicious. The whole beans were so flavorful and the rice was fluffy and equally flavorful. The Al Pastor Super Taco was a hit as well. This place is perfect for a casual bite to eat. You order at the counter and the place has a small staff but very friendly and helpful. There is indoor seating, a few tables there. Taco Mania is a relatively new addition to Westfield mall. The place looks clean and the workers are friendly. The tacos came out pretty quickly (under 5 minutes). There's no line and really the reason is food quality. Do you like your meat and tortillas tasteless and chewy? I don't either. The pork belly was like leather and the tortillas were dry and nasty. 1 star. Worst service I've experienced in a while. I waited in line for about 5 minutes with my stroller and one-year-old, following the same line as multiple customers in front of me. There were no signs or directions showing where the line actually started. When it was finally my turn and I began ordering, the cashier, Nancy, interrupted me mid-sentence to say, "next time the line is on the other side," and then immediately said she was going to help the person behind me instead. I was genuinely confused because I had been clearly waiting in line the entire time, right behind other customers. It made no sense and felt extremely rude and dismissive. I've eaten here several times. With plenty of parking available, this place is very easy to find in the Valley Fair mall. With so many places to eat at in the mall, I find myself regularly returning here. Good cheap eats. You can't go wrong ordering a few tacos here before shopping in the mall. solid place for casual tacos in the mall. i ordered the basic taco. for about $4 a pop, its not too bad. the cook of the meat and the heated corn tortillas are a nice touch. it only comes with onion and cilantro if you don't upgrade to the super tacos, but the cashier helped me add diced tomatoes. the steak and brisket proteins aren't seasoned heavily, but it still perfectly satisfied my cravings. i would come back if i was in the mall again. the tables could be cleaned a bit more, but the staff here always go above and beyond in service. read more

There are plenty of protein options and TM is great for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Dinner: Asada Super Taco Al Pastor Taco [2] Carne Asada Taco Tripa Burrito While all the food was pretty good, the disappointing side was how wet the super taco was. My opinion, save the $1.25 and go for the regular taco unless you're all about that messy, soggy kind of life. Tripa [intestines] in general was the highlight of the meal. This is the newest addition in Steven Creek Mall, and it didn't disappoint. Not only is the food good, but the decor is also pretty. I ordered two different entrees--the Quesadilla, which had a nice amount of spice and cheese. The Taco Plate was delicious; it comes with your choice of meat and two sides. I try to communicate that as clearly as I can whenever I order from places that do burritos and most of the time they get it right. Bit into the first one and was instantly disappointed, cut the second one in half and of course both were full of the only two Ingredients I asked them to leave off. The quesabirria tacos were delicious and loaded with birrea and cheese...however the consommé had no flavor at all. It was so watered down. It tasted like they forgot to add salt and spices. Other than that everything else was delicious. The three tacos were a bit too much for me. Next time I would only order two and hope that the consommé is better next time. Service was good.
