Everything is on the side for you to get yourself. Grilled onions, cabbage, jalepenos, radish, salsas etc.
Lila G.

I feel bad that they have such low ratings. I love their vast menu- it's varied enough so there's something for everyone. From tostadas, mulitas, protein bowls, burritos, flautas etc. additionally, they have plenty of meats to choose from: asada, pastor, chorizo, tripa, lingua, cabeza, birria, pollo and Cameron. They also offer daily specials and 1.50 tacos on Tuesdays and Fridays. My asada tacos were tasty! Not too salty and filling. I like the smaller street tortillas they use. It was a tad on the greasy side but you can't beat the 6.99 combo which also includes beans, rice and a soda. The service was friendly and quick. I'll definitely stop by again soon!

Quesabirria tacos

I see this truck in Clovis many times driving by over the years. Tbh I was very hesitant to try this truck as they had very low reviews. Saw them at Cherry Auction on Saturday and was craving tacos so decided why not. My sister ordered 3 Quesabirria tacos with consume. Didn't wait long for our order. They had a self serve salsa/condiment bar. The tacos were fresh and crispy. The consumer was delicious, to my surprise it was one of the best Quesabirria tacos I've ever had! There was a good amount of meat and it was so flavorful and tender. I would definitely return to see them again. The staff were so friendly.

Al pastor and what is SUPPOSED to be a tripas taco. I'm so annoyed!

I don't think I've ever written a bad yelp review... BUT WTH IS THIS?!?? Why do I have 3 pieces of tripas that was cut into smaller pieces?! Literally should've listened to the reviews.

The hell?! They couldve said something. Like really? No cilantro onions just meat and tortilla? What a joke this place is.

This was my first time going to this place. Ordered tacos thinking itll be the whole thing. Didnt know it was just meat and tortilla. They couldve said something. This place is trash. The meat didnt taste good at all. The folks inside this joint give no fucks. Oh well. This was the first and will be the last.

A taco truck with a permanent spot!

My brother in law suggested this place for tacos! It is a permanently placed taco truck and has plenty of options for outdoor seating under a covered patio. The prices are pretty good too! $2 for a taco, $7.50 for a quesadilla or torta. We have not yet tried the tortas or quesadillas, but we were admiring the prices! Seating includes wooden bench tables, and wooden bar top style seating. Only weird thing about the seating is that to line up and order your food, you are in between the tables. So while there are plenty of seating options, you might also find yourself right next to those waiting to order or for their order. Customer Service was pretty standard, nothing too exciting and nothing horrible either. I will say that on this particular day they were out of large lids, so she asked us if we wanted a Large drink without the lid or if we wanted 2 smalls with lids. I appreciated having the choice to have lids, since we were taking our order to-go. The speed of service was impressive, especially after we ordered 10 tacos and with three different carnes. So this is great if you are in a hurry. The tacos themselves were pretty average to me. If you order them as is, they come with onions and cilantro on top, and a couple of slices of radishes and lemons on the plate. I did LOVE their chorizo tacos, and my husband liked the asada and tripas tacos that he got. He said their tripas were crunchy, but he didn't rave about them. I'll be honest that after my brother in laws suggestion, I was expecting more from the asada tacos, but they were just pretty standard in my book. I did like the green salsa, which has a molcajete style vibe to it. It needed some more salt, but that was an easy fix. The red salsa was spicier but I didn't enjoy the flavor as much as the green. I would get them again, for the simple convenience of they have this "permanent" location for their truck.

Pretty decent tacos and with inflation, I think they are priced reasonably. I do enjoy their tacos and always go for their pizza quesadilla. The best!

Asada Taco $2

I do not have much to say but I wouldn't go back again. I love trying out different taco places and see who has the best asada or pastor taco. CUSTOMER SERVICE : I order 1 taco of each. 1 asada and 1 pastor only but some how the lady charge me 5 tacos. I'm not sure if she under stand English or hard hearing problem but she needs to make sure she got the right order. The cooker was pretty generous with taco sauce. Overall, both of them seems nice but they just need to work on customer service. RATE 2/5 FOOD QUALITY : Nothing special about the tacos. Disappointed that both asada and pastor is just salted. The texture of both is very mushy like powder. I also found a dead roach on my lemon. I know it's normal that insect do crawl into food. It's not their fault but I lost my appetite seeing that in my food. RATE 0/5

Queso Tacos! Chicken and Al Pastor
Angie R.

The dude and I came to Tacolandia after noticing we had a new Taco joint that took over an abandoned Loan place however they developed it with a cool patio outdoor COVID-19 compliant vibe as everything is out doors. After weeks of passing this place we decided to give them a try one evening. And so glad we did! The young woman who took our order was wearing a mask however the cooks didn't no face mask at. They have a really good menu as EVERY SINGLE THING sounded appetizing or maybe I was just really hungry! But they have burrito bowls, Mulitas,Queso Tacos, Tacos. Quesadillas and so many more food options! I ended up getting a chicken and Al Pastor Queso tacos as the dude ended up getting the Mulitas which were chorizo, al pastor and asada. I love Mulitas as I have been eating them even before I knew the name of them. I thought the Al Pastor Mulitas was delicious! It had cheese galore, cilantro and onions my taste buds were so happy. The dude didn't appear to be a fan of them as he tried my Queso tacos and preferred them. The Horchata we got was good but it wasn't authentic :( it tasted like the generic powered but they tried to mask it by adding A LOT of cinnamon but what should I expect it's a taco truck so their are trying to keep their costs low by all costs. Overall, this place BEATS 559 Street tacos which they have a location in Clovis. I have no worries at Tacolandia will continue to out due themselves. We will be coming back often. Our new quick delicious taco place everything was flavorful and tasty!

Miguel’s Salsa - Come and have some amazing bbq at the Peacock!

Miguel’s Salsa

Machaca breakfast burrito for the win!…read more I've been to Miguel's many times and I love literally everything on the menu and could drink their homemade salsas. With all my visits, I have never tried one of their breakfast burritos. I ordered a Machaca breakfast burrito and this baddie was huge. Fully loaded with eggs, cheese, and tons of machaca. Machaca is fried shredded beef mixed with onions and peppers and one of my favorite mexican breakfast dishes. Pair this burrito with their Taco Truck verde salsa or their Sunset Salsa, a medium salsa, and you'll be in beefy heaven. Order via DoorDash for pick up and it was ready at the exact time it was stated!

We went about 6 PM so not sure if going to a different time would've made a difference. The service was pretty good. There was only two people working. The gal that helped us didn't know how to add my points to their point system and had some issues with the register, she was OK. My wife has the chicken tacos I had the asada. We both left Mexican food, and we both feel that we are very fair when it comes to the food value and the taste. As far as the taste, the meat tacos were a little rough and gum like, probably from sitting out too long. The chicken tacos actually fell apart as my wife was eating them, and the chicken was very, very overcooked so again, probably sitting too long inside the burner. They do not have the right ABC license so you can't drink alcohol and eat hair even though you're sitting inside a liquor store. Overall an okay place, there's so many selections of Mexican food in Clovis, this one was so so.

Many of the lower rated reviews are from their grand opening month in June of 2020, and COVID times. Now pair that stress with the stress of going from a successful food truck to a brick and mortar location, that's a lot for a small business owner. 559 Taqueria has come a long way and if you haven't been since 2020, this place is definitely worth another shot! Now back to the review... I've been here many times now, with my last visit topping them all. The tacos here are amazing and the bar staff is extremely friendly. This time around, I literally ordered every single taco they sell including their rolled taco and... they're all delicious! My fave out of the bunch are the TJ tacos. Small tacos on a four tortillas loaded with carne asada and a mountain of guac! These immediately remind of my days living in San Diego and head to Tijuana for tacos and cheap beers. Their queso taco and red taco are a close second, but honestly I loved them! If you haven't been since 2020; they've redone the bar area and it looks great. A modern mix of Mexico architecture with a touch of Tatooine from Star Wars. The drinks are solid and like I said, if you can sit at the bar and eat, do it! The bar staff here is friendly and informative!

Ordered my food and went to find a seat inside. I noticed the inside wasn't clean much, it was spilled food on the floor & as much empty tables that were available inside the tables were not wiped. I sat outside to avoid having to wipe the table or step on food. Finding a table outside I noticed 3 tables that were full of food/trash. Their condiments table area could've been more cleaned. I noticed the small cups to put sauces were dirty, I had to pick through to find a clean container for my sauces. The lid of the storage for the condiments itself was broken and the area wasn't attended to enough. Sauces were very low & overall messy. While trying to pour my sauces in a very very small container I had to hold the broken lid and swat off flies. That's a lot of work for my green sauce. Our food came out quickly with our drinks. I ordered the 3 street chicken tacos, for my drink I ordered the Guavarita. My friend ordered 3 street chicken & asada tacos & the Mango chilli drink. We both enjoyed the street tacos & both drinks were delicious. This is my second time coming to this location. My first visit was at night. They had a live dj, the place was packed but overall clean and attended to. Overall in the future I may just ordered my food to go if I'm in the area. The food is good it's just the upkeep of keeping areas clean that puts me off from sitting and enjoying my food.
