This review is for the Taco Time on DEWAR DRIVE, Rock Springs, WY. I would give you a zero if I could! Over the past six weeks, I have received a breakfast burrito with enchilada sauce inside , a crisp bean burrito with what I can only describe as sand inside, then today I ordered a veggie burrito. I pulled into a parking spot to eat my burrito and my tortilla was stuck to the paper and juice was running out of it because they failed to drain the salsa fresca juice before they put it on the burrito (yes, I know how it's suppose to be made as I use to be an assistant manager for Taco Time). I pulled back up to drive thru and requested they remake it. I then pulled back into the parking lot and this time my burrito was intentionally wrapped loose so when I unwrapped it the contents (except the beans) spilled all over myself and my car. I walked back in and asked the manager who made my burrito and she said that she had made it. When I stated what happened, she claimed it was an accident ( double eye roll, apparently she thinks I'm stupid!) and that she would remake it. I declined her offer and attempted to eat what was left of my burrito, but it had been heavily salted. I will try Taco Time on Elk Street now and see if they can do better. read more

For fast food this place is as good as it gets for Mexican - WAYYYY better than Taco Bell! There were 3-4 young people working when I stopped with my daughter and they were extremely respectful, kind, polite, etc - they restored my confidence in this generation a bit... food was very tasty and restaurant was very clean. Only gave 4 stars because it is a bit on the pricey side - around $5 for a regular hard shell beef supreme taco.... read more

Taco Time has some nice Tex Mex food like crisp meat burritos that are unique and yummy. This Taco Time also has amazing service. Like... impressive service. This was very welcome after a long day of driving. They went out of their way to make me feel special and anticipating my every need. Being from Seattle in the 70's means many things, but one of them was a distinctive lack of ethnic food. I seriously thought all tacos came crispy with cheddar on them until I was 20 years old. So please forgive me for the soft spot I have for Taco Time. It tastes like my my childhood naiveté... and I like it like that. I love their Taco Sauce so much I just capitalized it by accident. I love it so much I've spent hours in my kitchen trying to recreate it... and I all I can tell you is that it doesn't have tomatoes in it. I'm just crazy about Taco Time man. Just wild! Road tripping and stopped here. Crisp tacos were good. Crisp bean burritos were 95% tortilla, 5% beans. My husband got a soft beef burrito and was sick for an entire day so that was a bad idea service was super slow. I guess it's average fast food. read more

I lived in a Seattle suburb growing up and heard so many by good things about taco time. Passing through Wyoming, I happened upon this spot and took a chance--boy am I glad I did. The fish tacos were so delicious. I regret not ordering two like my husband did. The stuffed tots were decadent and crispy. The service was fast, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. They took the time to explain their menu options as I was a bit clueless. Wish this was place was in our backyard! read more

Please do your self a favor and do not go to this place. How do you even stay in business? We waited for 25 minutes yes 25 minutes in the DRIVE THROUGH. Because we were traveling and staying across the street thought perfect tacos so close , NOT., also when we finally got to the window to pay no they asked us again what we ordered and then another 10 minutes and guess what our food was COLD.. Staff was unexpectedly friendly....easily could interact with them, as we were out of towners, and asking about city life. With 3 mexican type places located on the same block, we looked at the others, yet ended up here. Strange to choose typical fast food over a hometown type place. Not impressed with this location I don't mind taco time from time to time but the service was crap and when I received my food it was soooooo greasy and mashed up I'm glad I'm only staying in town a night because I wouldn't go back. This was the most bland burrito I have ever eaten just go to Smith's and buy some frozen ones and heat them up they will be a ton better read more

You know it's going to be bad when you walk in and 4 people working look like deer caught in head lights, couple more not in uniform walking in and out of the kitchen area, no one was wearing a mask and the owner is walking around talking like she's in her own house and these were her kids (they were not). We should have turned around right there. They were lucky because we're on a road trip and we're kind of trapped with no other options. From reading other bad reviews I think it's how this place stays alive. Half of the quarter vending machines were broken or the product was defective, the owner deflected right away saying it's not her machines she just leases the space. To her credit, she did give us 75 cents to "try again" and thanks, we were disappointed again. Shame on us. One of the machine just took our money and nothing came out! Onto the food... The staff made our smoothie in a smaller size than we paid for (we're told it's because he's new, um, what does that have to do with it? A new doctor wouldn't f up a surgery would he?) anyways, the manager REFUSED to refund the difference saying it's corporate policy. I'm unaware of a business trying to stay in business with such a bad policy. She then offered to give us a gift card instead... Now why would I want a gift card to a place I do not want to return to? We got a soda in it's place and it was so flat we gave up and just threw it out. The one food item we got, a quesadilla, was sub par, cold and cheese looked like plastic. It was clearly made of inferior quality products. Even my toddler was grossed out by it, now I know she's had quite a few quesadillas in her few years but I didn't know she moonlight as a quesadilla connoisseur. I ordered a ranchero burrito meal and kids meal. I was shocked to see they wanted to charge $1 for a toy to be included. Anyway, I waited for 10 minutes in the drive thru. When I got to the window, I tried handing my card to the cashier and he just wanted to shove the food into my car. So I juggled my card to grab the food which I thought was strange. I could have just driven away without paying. So I pay for my food and go on my way. 12 hours later and I am dealing with severe food poisoning. I am pregnant anyway, so I thought it might be morning sickness. Nope. I'm puking up green bile while simultaneously having diarrhea. Thank goodness for trash cans, right? I will never eat here again and will tell all my friends about my experience. Sorry for being so graphic. read more

My first time to visit Taco Time. I also like cheap Taco and often visit Taco Bell. Taste is better than Taco Bell. Serving time is a little bit longer than Taco Bell. There is no Taco Time in MD and hope Taco Time to open in MD. read more

You would think Taco Time would be pretty much the same in each state but not here. We ordered the tostada salads, they were small and the tostada was soaked in oil. Even the taste was off. My wife ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade and it sure didn't taste fresh squeezed. Another irritating situation, was some of the staff were sorting BK toys and had the isle blocked with two boxes so you had to detour around them. Love the food, but sick of businesses here in RS NOT wanting to make money. Is the owner of this establishment out of his/her mind? YES! Ordered nachos; received a tiny cup of cheese. I asked for extra and was charged $1 for another tiny thimble like cup of nacho cheese. So, I stopped ordering nachos. Like their chicken ranchero burritos and used to receive ranch cups on the side with the burrito. Today, I asked for ranch and was told I'd be charged, but that if I came in the restaurant I could have all the free ranch I wanted. Totally made sense to me! (Holding sarcasm sign). Waste of money. I could have got a tornado and a drink from a gas station and paid $2. However, I decided to try this place out and had to pay $7 for junk. Disgusting. The restaurant was dirty, the employees were fighting with each other over who had to stay late, the food looked and tasted funny and the food was craaaaaazy expensive for what you get. Went to the dewar drive store expecting something like a Taco Bell but that was not what we got. The staff was disinterested, the food was barely warm and the tables were dirty. Ordered a platter meal which included a taco, burrito and some rice and beans. In addition to the Mexican food there were tater tots? The food cost $9.00, way over priced !
