If you go up to Milton 1 mile away you can save at least $10-20 dollars. Very disappointed in this franchise. Obviously it's not easy to review fast food, you've probably had Taco Time (sorry, "Taco Time Northwest") and either you like it or you have some dumb line about how the Mexican food back in California is so much better. Stop it, we know this isn't your abuelita's taqueria. It's fast food and generally it's fresher and healthier than many other drive thru options. The chicken white chili is a solid standby for me. Anyway, if you like Taco Time, this is a great location. The staff is friendly and I love when they come to the window to admire my dogs in the backseat, and, yes, they have dog treats if you ask nicely. This is the best Taco Time I have been to in a long time! The taco burger...which I have loved since they had it when I was younger...was the best I have had at any Taco Time recently! The bun was warm and a little crispy. The cheese was melted. Perfect ratio of ingredients. Everything was fresh. My husband had a beef soft taco and both items were a 10. There's an amazing crew at this location. Tostado salad and chicken soft taco have been my wife and I's favorites. We've been driving through the drive-through for several days in a row now and loved it. I was fishing at lake Geneva yesterday, didn't look at the time. As soon as I packed everything up and loaded it into my suv I called my wife up and asked what she wants to eat! She said Taco Time. I rushed to this taco time location and I got there at 9:02 PM. A wonderful lady asked me nicely what I'd like to order instead of sorry we are closed. I placed my order and headed to the window. As soon as I got to the window I thanked her and the chef and she said you're welcome. She also passed my thanks to the chef. Wonderful folks like these that go above and beyond win customers like me and my wife. We've been going to taco time, sometimes 3-4 times a week! We love Tostado chicken & beef, chicken soft taco, crispy beef taco, and the fried burrito. I just want to share the amazing crew and food at this location. You don't have to be a local to love taco time! I've loved eating here since childhood. Yeah ok it's not exactly authentic but it sure is delicious. The food is always fresh, local and way healthier than traditional Mexican food. If it's your first time you must get a crisp burrito with the hot sauce. The soft tacos are drippy so don't forget the napkins. Fish burritos are better than tdm. read more

Taco Time is one of the better fast food situations, and it's very different in Seattle than it is in ID, UT and NV. So if you're new here and you had Taco Time in one of those states, you will be in for a treat on the good differences in the menu. This location is more expensive than other ones in the area, so I won't be coming back here. I'll stick to other ones if I'm in the mood for them. When it comes to fast food mexican restaurants, Taco Time is my all time favorite! A fixture in the Pacific Northwest for longer than I've been alive, they keep their quality standards high across the board. The ingredients are as locally sourced as they can be and they even have a nice revolving seasonal menu. In the summer months when romaine lettuce is bountiful, they offer a chicken caesar salad or a chicken caesar burrito. Both of which are a little on the pricy side but delicious just the same. Now that fall has taken over and the air is chilly, try their white corn chowder with or without chicken. It's sure to warm you up fast. If that's not hot enough for you, they make their own salsas and hot sauce and they've added a new set of burritos to the menu that are here to stay. The crisp chicken habanero and the regular chicken habanero. They have that spicy kick that you're looking for. This location is pretty much brand new and I opted to drive over here on this visit because the location that is closer to my house was not only swamped but it's also hard to get to and even harder to find parking. The store is nice and it wasn't crowded at all. I hope it stays that way. They have raised their prices a bit over the last couple of months and if they are shrinking portion sizes at the same time, I will be very disappointed. One thing that I love about Taco Time is there commitment to the environment. They were one of the first and only restaurants to start separating their trash into recycling, composting and plain garbage. They've even gone so far as to supply nearly 100% biodegradable materials so that you can compost almost all of it instead of it going to a landfill. They are probably the only restaurant doing so south of the Sodo district too. Now if they could make the opening to the compost bins a little bigger than a football, I could actually get the trash in the bin and not all over the floor. Taco Time boasts that they don't use scales or weigh out their ingredients. Instead, they prepare your meal based on a recipe and this shows. Some employees get the recipe just right while others are very liberal with the ingredients and then others hold back a bit. If I've ever had a problem with a Taco Time location, it would be my portion size or the treatment from the employees but even when those are bad, the food is still amazing! Below is my original review - they started out great buy have seem to be getting worse. Last night is and example - three of us ordered and one sat down while I was paying. I asked for the senior discount and she was unable to put it in and then realized she was not authorized on that register - really!!!!! Now she had to void the entire transaction and start over on the other register - while forgetting parts of our order. Finally the food arrived - the mexi fries were COLD - not a little but a lot. We took them back and they did replace them Last time the Taco Burger was the thinnest I have seen. Remember the old joke -"How did you find the meat" - " Oh I moved a small slice of cheese and there it was" LOL. I have been ordering Taco Burgers since the late 1960's - so I know how they should be made. Again - I complained and they replaced it. This has been typical - perhaps we all need to stay on the road for another 5 minutes and go to the one in Milton. They at least have trained their employees. I am not sure why we needed another Taco Time this close to the Milton one (probably to pick up the traffic heading to Home Depot and Costco) - but it is here and we are going. :) It is a stand alone building with plenty of parking and a very nice and comfortable restaurant. The service has been great - we have probably gone already 5+ times and I would say it is consistent with the best of the Taco Times - note we have been going to Taco Time since 1968 and so we should have a comparison. The food is consistent with the Taco Time standards and I have loved Taco Burgers for over 40 years - not changed much in all that time - the food - not me - I have improved. read more

Major issues ever since it opened. I've only had good service once, and that time I still had to go back to get my receipt. Tonight was the last straw and I won't be returning to this location. I frequent this location because it's close to my house. They got points for ample parking and general cleanliness but the quality of food is very inconsistent. I always order the same thing each visit and they are not always the same. I came in last night and the fries were stale, rice was mushy and flavorless. First time eating at this restaurant. Lobby was dirty with mexi fries and trash. The girl who took our order was very unprofessional and kept chatting with her friends that were there. The food was mediocre, ask for food without tomatoes and sure enough there are tomatoes in my food. Bring it to the staff working the food line and they just shrug their shoulders and say "our chicken is prepared with tomatoes." No satisfaction offered for food that did not meet the customers approval, that's fine enjoy the profit on $10 combo meal I purchased. Well, everyone seems to be trying to eat healthy these days although realistically we all have times when we need to make a quick stop and give in to fast food. This Taco Time is beautiful. Possibly because it's so new, but nevertheless it was very well done. The drive thru is a nice option and it surprised me because I haven't seen a Taco Time with a drive thru before. The food was the same, sinfully delicious and satisfying as usual. I like that there is a lighter portion meal option and menu options that are 350 calories or less. What really stood out to me and motivated me to review was the service. The women working the drive thru were friendly and took extra time to double check that the order was correct. When I asked for extra hot sauce she responded "Sure! How many would you like?" What a nice change compared to the usual handful thrown into the bag. These days it's hard to come across good customer service especially in a drive thru. I appreciated this nice change so much and next time I give in to a Taco Time craving I will be back to this specific location even though it isn't the closest to my house. read more

I went through the drive through tonight, and the manager, Jodi remembered my name from the day before, and told me to pull up to the window. They replaced my order and gave me an ice water. Max is hands down the best drive through cashier at this location. I have been a customer here for a few years now and I always see him working harder than those around him. Hopefully he will be given a position in Management soon. If I was his district Manager, I would have promoted him by now. I learned that Taco Time is like local Taco Bell if Washington state so that's pretty cool. They have several locations and restaurants throughout the state. This one is located in Federal Way near Tacoma. It is a stand alone restaurant where they have a decent amount of table and chair seating areas if you want to dine in. It's pretty clean and has a nice interior. The price for everything is pretty decent. The staff and customer service is good. One of the foods that I tried so far is the tacos and potatoes wedges which are pretty good. The sweet potatoes wedges that that have sometimes is pretty good too. Sometimes they have deals during the Seattle Seahawks season where you can get a free Taco on Tuesdays if you have the app. I would probably go over here to support local before going to Taco Bell if I were to choose. I'm a USAF Veteran which just drove across the USA, which has been my practice since inheriting widowhood. So, it's much anticipation as i arrive at the long awaited dinner at northwestern Taco Time. Chose this location due to ample RV parking. A chance choice. Early afternoon & with a sparse crowd i am welcomed by Isaac. He politely takes my order and for 17 yrs. he's quite composed & helpful. Order complete it's Alex's turn. ALex carries 2 trays of food. Each tray is a picture of order & neatness. Clean as well. The food, per usual, was worth the long wait! Yes. But, the true enjoyment was the polite, courteous and nicely groomed & kept young men who served me. Very impressed by both Isaac & Alex. They are a terrific reflection of an outstanding food chain of which I'll enjoy until the return trip back to Florida (yech). As i asked a few questions, Isaac also showed he was a keen representative of the local community. He demonstrated pride & answered each question thoroughly. i was certain TacoTimes' food would be enjoyable. A pleasant encounter with the 2 employees was a bonus! All 4 or 5 employees had nice attitudes accompanied by a sincere professionalism. Each seemed to be working well on their own. Their ages made the visit even more surprising & enjoyable. First time eating here. When we entered the restaurant it was very quiet. My boyfriend walked up to the cashier and politely said hello to the cashier. The cashier looked annoyed and just stared at him. About ten seconds later first thing the cashier says is "is it for here or to go." We said for here. As we looked over the menu the cashier was drumming on the counter. I asked the cashier what was on the nachos, he rolled his eyes as he tapped something into the cash register. I'm assuming to figure out what was on the nachos. I then asked him what was on the fish tacos. He described what was on the fish tacos and my boyfriend said "that doesn't sound too good". So I said I'll probably get the no. 2 then. The cashier then scoffed like he was annoyed that I said I didn't want that. We finally order and he doesn't even give us a receipt. The food wasn't too bad, but definitely felt overpriced. Also the cashier wasn't wearing a name tag or else I would include his name. Every time we go there, they never get my order right. I say it three to four times, and still it's wrong. Once I placed an order and got home to find two missing tacos, the filling in our #3's so skimpy a kid would complain. I mea for $9 for the meal you'd think to add meat. The one place in Federal Way off 320th actually makes it worth it, but no drive through, so not as family friendly for a quick meal. Hence this drive thru. May reconsider. The staff are nice, but would be nice to get my order right. I love Taco Time, just too pricey to get chinsy on the food. If you're that hard up for customers maybe lowering the price for freshness since you add a couple pieces of meat and mass lettuce no tomatoes and strands of cheese is not a soft taco. :( Disappointed. Had the most terrible experience at this location! The service was excruciatingly slow because the older lady cashier didn't know what she was doing and she was hard on hearing (took 15 mins to get to the pick up window, with only ONE car in front of me). They didn't get my order correct so I went inside to correct it and get hot sauce (that they forgot to put inside my bag) and I was confronted by this very unpleasant man with tattoos all over his neck and face who rudely and sarcastically told me to "take a walk with him" and that the hot sauce was just around the counter.
