However, today they had a presumably new employee who did not understand what "a la carte" meant when they have an entire "a la carte" section on their menu. This was able to be cleared up after some explaining. We also ordered sopapillas (advertised with honey, butter, and cinnamon) and received some other dessert that, by the time it was opened at home, was covered in melted ice cream and chocolate. I called the restaurant to inform them that their employee may need further training and their response was to first ask if I had the correct restaurant (I did, they repeated the name back to me over the phone while asking this) and then to ask when this happened. When I responded with the approximate time the order was taken, the response was literally "nuh uh." I will not be back, regardless of how much I enjoy their food. That sort of response to someone attempting to alert you to a problem with your staff is unacceptable.

Let me start by saying my family loves Mexican food. We have tried several different places in…read moreand around Greenville. That being said, we decided to try this place on our way home based off the reviews. Both "servers" had a 'I don't want to be here attitude'. There was a hair in our cheese dip, no "sorry about that". When the food came, the sever basically threw the plates at us, again not a word. Everything was bland. No flavor whatsoever! As for ambiance, ha the fast food booths were super uncomfortable. Oh and when the server cleaned the table across from us, she flung food towards us. Try it at your own risk.

To say I'm disappointed is an under statement. We have driven past here on our way in or out of…read moretown too many times to count and decided to give a try today. Where to start? Let's go with the good: service was pretty good. The ladies was cleanish. There was soap all over the sink, do to the fact that it was so watered down I thought why bother. The faucet is backwards. As in hot is cold. The restaurant was clean. Now for the bad. Several reviews said the beer was cold and cheap. And even though there was beer on the menu. NO beer of any kind. We were where they have no license. Not sure how or why. But there's that. Then the couple that went in right before was placing their order we heard a couple of times, we're out of that. We stared with cheese dip, watered down microwaved no flavor cheese dip. The chips were so so, after we salted them. We should have gotten up and left then. But we like to support local, so we decided to still give them a shot. As a family of 4 our order consisted of combo 31,all chicken, 1 chicken grande, and 2 orders of trace amigos (1 steak tip, 1 chicken, 1 pork wrapped floured tortilla covered with cheese and onions). They were out of pork. So we got to pick either 2 chicken or 2 beef. I said chicken my husband said steak. Okay, and now we wait. There were only 2 employees working, we knew it wasn't going to be fast, but omg! They were not that busy. The food finally starts coming out. One of the first things on the table was, the chicken was the chicken was grande , the grilled chicken looked good. Then came the amigos. Watered down cheese on top. The steak tips turn out to be ground beef, no grilled chicken for you, you get shredded chicken. Combo 31 looks nothing like the menu. The best thing on the amigos was the grilled onions. Zero seasoning on or in anything. To say it was bland is being nice. But I do think the dogs will enjoy it. Please excuse me while I go try to get the blah taste out of my mouth. We tried.

They had a large variety of salsas which I was eager to try. My goto is usually the salsa verde and they had the traditional and avocado version. Upon the first bite of the salsa verde, I was caught off guard because it was so salty. When the server came over and took our order, I felt the need to let him know because it was not edible (IMO) but my husband also agreed. They kindly took the feedback and shortly after I saw some staff go over to the salsa bar and took it away. They actually ended up changing or fixing it and it was so much better! Hubby's tacos were awesome, super flavorful meats. My pork carnita dish was absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor, the rice was addicting and it was a great combination.
