I was really craving Mexican food, and I decided to try a new spot. The food sounded good, and I liked the description of the nachos, so I ordered them and decided to add on a side of Mexican street corn. It was ok. First off, the corn was very overcooked. Small kernels. Very juicy, but not in a good wat. I took about 2 spoonfuls and pretty much tossed the rest. The nachos were not very good. I know this was a delivery and I have to make concessions for some saturation making the chips not as crunchy, but even the chips they gave me on the side were very thin and oily and would never hold up in a nacho setting. The meat (carnitas) was very dry and stringy. The guacamole lacked seasoning as did the rice and beans. And, the salsa had a pulled-from-the-refrigerator flavor. I maybe ate a third of the nachos and then tossed those out as well. I did not eat any of the chips and salsa after the initial taste. I was really bummed as I had hoped for a good meal, but I won't be trying this restaurant again and will try others next time I am in town.

I will be honest I was not expecting good Mexican food in the area. This place is probably one of the better options in town. The salsa was okay - (not authentic-too sweet). I was happy that they offered fresh authentic salsa upon request. My authentic Mexican food recommendation from this place are the tacos (lengua) and the Pollo Ixtapa dish (chicken and sea food- has onions).

Definitely ask for the house salsas- habanero and green options, as these really make the tacos. The "Americanized" chips and salsa were good but average. Worth the trip for good tacos and salsa. Do not expect a peaceful or fancy environment. There are a few booths, it's connected to a small store, and the employees, while efficient at their jobs, are loudly playing music and videos on their phones competing with the music playing through the store speakers.

Super tacos means with sour cream, cheese, and pico and it makes them impossible to close and challenging to eat. If you gotta have those things on your taco, you won't be disappointed, but the regular tacos are probably fine. The tortillas are good and the meat is tasty, this is definitely the thing to order here. Pupusas was interesting but probably wouldn't order it again, kind of like a tortilla pancake with meat stuffing. Chicken empanada was ok, needs some kind of dipping sauce. Breading was soft but and seemed baked instead of fried, which gave it a unique texture. The tamales are huge! Didn't get to try one, but if you're into that they look great. Chips were a little stale, red salsa was ok, they do have a habanero sauce that's great on the tacos. Overall, it's cheap and good, nice and casual, I'll be back.

So, my chance to indulge and celebrate meant there's only one place....Taco Casita. It amazes me the different personalities which patronize. While waiting on my food to be prepared, I just kept scanning the dining room. There was a father with his 7-8 year old daughter. She was giddy eating chips and cheese. The father was chowing down. Another corner had a college age couple enjoying conversation whilst nibbling their food. There was a clean cut family of 6 on some tables. A fellow walked in wearing a muscle shirt of some sort.
