I liked it better when you could get your own drinks. They had the drink station cordoned off And you had to wait for someone to come and get your drinks. I prefer just to get my own. There was hardly any ice in our drinks like that we're trying to conserve ice. I had to go up and get a cup of ice after we sat down. The one thing that we did not like was that they took away the ketchup bottles and you had to use little ketchup packets to get out all the ketchup for your fries and onion rings. They serve the BBQ sauce in bottles. Why not just leave the ketchup in the bottles - ridiculous. Other than that, it was good. Service was good. Ambience was OK.

I passed by the restaurant on my way to work every day, and I finally decided to order from here. I wish I had ordered from here earlier because the food was so good. I ordered the rib tips and added a side of the hash brown casserole. The serving of the rib tips was such a generous portion that it could easily have fed 2 - 3 people. The meat was so tender. The smoke flavor permeated throughout. The sauce (Rick's Sweet Sauce) was just what I needed to balance the flavor. I think I could almost eat this every day and be satisfied. The hash brown casserole was very good, but as compared to the generous portion of ribs, you get maybe a couple of bites of the casserole. I just wish I'd had more. I would definitely order from here again, and I know I would want to try so many of the other offerings on their menu.

I'm so glad I looked at Yelp reviews for restaurants in Terre Haute…read more This one is a little on the outskirts. The parking is right beside the building, which is nice. The building is absolutely stunning. From the mural along the side with some Indiana favorites to the very tasteful woodwork inside. All four of us thought our food was really good. How often does that happen? The newest menu item was the Salisbury steak. Might be the best I've ever had. There is a little kick to it. Nothing that little water doesn't take care of. haha when I mentioned the cake to the waitress, she said it's probably the goat cheese and the mashed potatoes. I never knew a goat cheese being spiced. But, hey, I really enjoyed it! If I lived in this area, I would frequent it a lot.

I expected it to taste just like candy but it was surprisingly light. For dinner I ordered the chicken parmesan . It came with large pieces of breaded chicken. It also had a very large portion of spaghetti. Everything was cooked well and the marinara sauce had wonderful flavor. I am always impressed by the large portions. I also think the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. This is definitely my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Terre Haute.

Not only that, but the food was stellar. Here's what we tried: -Foie Gras Special: 9/10 - I just love foie gras and wow this one was cooked to perfection and the accompaniment of the cream cheese foam and the apple was amazing! I could eat it all to myself. -Denver American Wagyu 8oz: 8/10 - I did really like it, though I may have gone with Spiralis cut next time, as this was small and not as flavorful as I would've dreamed of. Decadent, of course. -Mac and Cheese: 10/10 - A perfect Mac and cheese. I don't think I could've dreamt of a better one. The flavor was outstanding, the pasta was al dente, and the cheese was just soooo gooey. It was addictive. -Truffle Butter Mashed Potatoes: 7/10 - While these were good, they had no truffle butter taste to them at all. In fact, we wondered if it had been mistakenly marked as truffle butter, but apparently it was correct. -Korean Corn: 8/10 - Cheesy, gochujang-ey, yummy. It's kind of like a Korean elote, so I'm not mad at all. -Gooey Butter Cake: 9/10 - I really don't know how to describe this other than sweet and yummy. It was also soft inside, which paired well with the crispier crust. -Chocolate Decadence: 10/10 - This just melted in my mouth. It was gooey and delicious and dark and rich and WOW. It's like the pudgiest brownie you'll ever eat. Overall, well impressed!

I was so glad to see him be our server. He is genuinely nice and might be one of the more efficient servers I've ever seen. He quickly connects with his customers. I opted for their Mogger Salad but substitute the crumble cheese for shredded. I'm not a fan of blue cheese crumbles. Wife had chicken on rice with some very good mushroom sauce. Pretzel bites and beer cheese for appetizer and bread pudding shared for dessert. My wife discovered their beer cheese is excellent on baked potatoes. We joked with server that they need to have tat as a side option. He said he'd "promote" and also have a talk with manager/chef (Dalton?) We left very fulfilled!! The setting is always quiet and comfortable. But we go through mid-week. Weekends with winter sports and such can be a little more lively...if that's what you like. Kudos to them for 30 years. It isn't so special, but what comes out of the counter window is. I, and my family, had the privilege of eating an affordable, delicious, and enticing set of grilled cheeses often not seen in this area. The first was one called Sweet Meats. A grilled cheese (with multiple cheeses) on large sourdough pan bread, apricot jelly, pickled Vidalia onions, smoked gouda, and smoked cherry wood ham. An interesting combination to be sure, but it provides just an interesting and enjoyable experience. The second, pepperoni in between mounds of mozzarella, provolone, Asiago, and garlic sourdough bread called the Pizza Boy. Dipped in a side of pizza sauce, you would swear it was a pizza but better! THE Nasty Nancy was third, a basic (and by basic, I mean 5 melty cheeses) grilled cheese stuffed with shredded bbq pork. It hits all the spots you'd expect it to, and then some. Bring napkins! A new contender, Golden Boy, has approached. A fried chicken breast on top of fresh avocado, bacon, Colby Jack Cheese, and Beezer's Hoosier Gold Honey Mustard BBQ sauce on a golden soft bun. Delicious. The combination creates a heaven only found in the golden fields of Indiana. We'll definitely be back for more, and look forward to seeing this business grow and more support for the local area grow with them. Today...this local boy ate.
