I go to this location once or twice a month, all in all I've never had a bad meal, have always gotten what I ordered. It's fast food so unfortunately it doesn't taste as good as a sit Mexican restaurant but it works for us. read more

Stopped for the first time in a long time ordered the beef burrito combo small. $13 It had to have been the worse Mexican food I have ever had I would be embarrassed serving that crap to anyone. Even a starving dog I will never and in ever go back read more

Soggy flavorless tacos. So gross I vomited. Posted a picture so other customers can see the lack of quality. Called to complain and the manager didn't give a hoot so I hope they like the review instead. read more

Taco John's - Grossest tacos ever!!!!! Soggy flavorless mess that falls apart. - Fast Food Near Me - Schofield, Wisconsin

Stopped at this Taco John's on the way through town from visiting friends. Hands down this is the most disgusting Taco John's I have been to. Order made wrong, tasted like soggy shite and the management is a real troll. So basically they mess your food up and refuse to fix their mistakes like cheap asses. Avoid this place like the plague! read more

Updating my review 3 mos. later. Went through the drive thru, placed my order and pull up to get my food hoping for better service and food this time. Nope, for the better service. The same big girl with brown hair (btw, there are 2 bigger girls there, this one is the tad shorter one.) was taking orders as before. Still no basic customer service skills once so ever in the 3 months since I was last here in town, and no responses back to my thank yous at the window. Convienently this rude employee doesn't adhere to wearing a name tag either. Maybe next time if I don't get a basic nice greeting, I will refer to her as big girl to see if that lights a response under her lazy duff, lol Since management won't put her cleaning toilets where customer service isn't in her job description & what's inside the toilet matches her skill set, I guess customers need to improvise accordingly. Food was so- so this time, edible but nothing to write home about. No consistency once so ever. Churros hard like they had been made hours prior and had sat and dried out. Off to Taco Bell next time in town. read more

This place is conveniently located and a better option than McDonald's & Burger King (bleh). Convenient drive-through. You have to try to potatoes! Try the street tacos, yum yum. read more

Save yourself the trip & head straight to the Taco Bell down the road. Taco John's in Schofield (and the Wausau location) have nasty tasting food with horrible snarky management that won't make it right with their customers when there's a problem by refunding for spoiled food they served, and they very rudely refuse to offer something else to make a customers experience a happy one. When we tried to address the manager Kellt we were told "We don't do that here" and "it's not our problem you don't like how the food tastes". The manager/owner Kelly is the definition of CHEAP, as cheap as they come with that fake belittling smile and she has no problem with insulting her customers in an attempt to deflect her businesses food screw ups back onto a good paying customer. Well Kelly this is unacceptable and you have lost more customers. Word of mouth spreads fast, so you can stick your garbage food back South of the Border from where you got it from, and for the $30, next time we will go to Texas Roadhouse for a couple of nice steaks rather than eat from you garbage pit that should be reported to the health department. read more

Taco John's - Nicely made taco from Taco Bell in Schofield. This is where we had to go after throwing out our meal from Taco Johns that tasted spoiled. - Fast Food Near Me - Schofield, Wisconsin

Meh. Taco Bell material. Cheap chips for the Nachos with the "fffft" cheese dolloped on top. Meat was scrawny. Head over to Patron (bring a few more dollars) and it'll be worth your while. read more

This taco john's has really gone down hill. My order was wrong yet again. How hard is it to make tacos and make them correctly? The worst part is there is no acknowledgement from the manager of any wrongdoing. The manager Kelly actually talked to me as if I made my own tacos incorrectly and she wouldn't correct, or refund my money. Avoid this taco John's if you want your food as you order it. Besides the disrespectful manager, the ladies bathroom was filthy and had a roach crawling by the drain. read more

When I was a little girl my family and I would go to Taco John's in our small town. As the town seemed to grow, Taco John's didn't thrive so it closed, boo hoo! I had found a Taco John's in a small town in Montana in 2008. I was so happy and it was as I remembered it to be, delectable potato oles with a side of nacho cheese. I was happy to locate the Taco John's here, at first, until I had their food. I ordered two hard shell tacos, two soft shell tacos, refried beans, and potato ole. The hard shell taco shells were stale which turned my stomach. The soft shell tacos had no meat in them, why you ask? I guess the guy decided I didn't need it when I ordered. The potato ole with the cheese had lost their luster by the time I got to them. I will eat at Taco John's again but the location in the mall will be my spot when I need a little potato comfort. read more

Stopped in our work Van with multiple people looking to order, the dining area was closed so we had to go through the drive thru. We were told we were only allowed one order at a time per vehicle so after the first person ordered, the rest of us decided to go elsewhere to eat instead of making multiple laps around the loop. Hopefully this kind of stupidity doesn't survive the pandemic and I see a permanently closed sign on my next visit to the area. read more

Great service and clean restaurant. The staff were all smiling and the food was great.

I just had the worst, most expensive taco salad in my life! The salad had about a Tablespoon of beef in it. (and it was gross meat ) Charging 89 cents each for sour cream and guacamole is ridiculous. save your money..dont ever buy a taco salad from this place ever. ! read more

Reopened as of 5/19/16. They were previously closed while they did a complete rebuild after a fire.

Used to go to Taco Johns all the time growing up but today was the first time I've gone since it reopened. Defiantly a memorable experience. It looks so nice inside, I love the food and the staff was awesome! Very friendly and polite and seemed like they were all having fun. read more

I ordered a SUPER burrito because it has more meat. My son likes tortillas with meat, nothing else. No beans, no salad, just meat. I paid for them they were $8.21 with which I did not have a problem. My husband specifically told the girl taking our order that we do not want anything else on the burrito except meat. She read back, a super burrito, no bean, no olive, no onion. Right then, I thought she might have misunderstood. We went to the window to collect our purchase and because our order sometimes is wrong, we looked at our son's burritos. They had lettuce, tomato, onions, and cheese all over the meat. I honked the horn to get the girl to come back and when she did, I leaned over and asked her if she understood me because, "my son only likes tortillas and meat." She said she was sorry and took them back to the kitchen. A woman named "Kelly" (she refused to tell me her last name) came to the window and began to instruct me on 'how to order burritos.' She said, "what you want is a beef burrito with no beans." I said, "no, I want a super burrito, meat only because it is bigger and has more meat." She then, as she is raising her voice tells me that "we don't have a bigger burrito that's at Taco Bell." I told her I know where I am and I know what I am ordering. She continued to give me grief in a raised tone so I told her I did not like her tone at which point she took the bag from my husband's outheld hand and threw it on the stainless table near the register and flew back toward the kitchen in a seeming rage. When she returned I kindly asked her, her name to which she replied, "Kelly." I asked, "what is your last name?" She answered, "Just Kelly. I'm not telling you my last name!" Still in a rage. She said a lot more than this, however these are the highlights. I told her I am the customer and I know what I want to order. I do not believe she should be allowed to treat customers this way especially when we are in a pandemic and business is slow anyway. ONE STAR; This lady needs to find another job preferably NOT in customer service or anywhere in the food and beverage industry. read more

Horrible customer service. Very argumentative and defensive, if your order isn't right, don't expect it to be corrected.

Waited 25 minutes in the drive thru. No apologies from staff. Tacos cold and potato oles had at least a pound of salt on them. Really disappointed. Not worth the time , money or calories. read more
