I walked in and was told "someone will be with you in a little bit" and proceeded to watch several cars get served, and listened to her wash dishes in the back. I had an incredibly negative experience at this location. When I tried to ask a simple question about the "Mega Taco," the staff became extremely rude and hostile toward me. More importantly, the behavior of the employees was completely inappropriate and felt like harassment. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe due to their conduct. My favorite restaurant in town. I've been going there since I was a kid and I've never had a bad experience. I've done fundraising there and they have been so great for helping out. Nice bathrooms, clean tables, and great service. They have messed up my order once but instead of getting 2 tacos I got 4. I use the Taco Johns app for coupons and special offers! Their breakfast burritos are to die for, and you can never go wrong for $0.89 tacos on taco Tuesday. read more

This is the worst food I have ever had. We order 2 tacos a super burrito and a meat and potato burrito and a taco salad. The meat on the tacos was like dog food. Really Taco John's? Really? My last experience at Taco John's in Colorado was fantastic. I think I gave it 4 or 5 Doubledays. My experience this time was far from the same. I ordered a taco and potato and beef burrito. My wife had a standard beef burrito. My taco and burrito had nearly zero flavor. The only flavor I could taste was olives and I hate olives. My wife's burrito was the same. Flavorless. The only positive out of the experience was the hash brown potato side things. They were fantastic. Sadly they were probably frozen and just deep fried. It's sad that the frozen food was better than the handmade tacos and burritos. I think it will be a long time before I try another Taco John's. I give Taco John's in Devil's Lake 2 Doubledays. The only reason they are getting a 2 is because of the potato side. read more
