I have loved Taco John's tacos since my first one in 1970. I still love those. The service here is also very good. However... I used to love the Scrambler breakfast. But they've changed it. First of all, you can only get one size and it's very large. My appetite is small. Secondly, it is almost all potatoes. They put hardly any eggs, cheese, and vegetables on anymore. ProTip: If you have a choice, do not order inside unless you have a lot of time to waste. Instead go through the drive through. They give huge priority to the drive through while inside orders languish. Love me some Taco John's! Grew up in ND and loved TJs but moved away and everywhere I have lived they just had the "other place" and there no comparison!! This restaurant was super clean and the staff was friendly and prompt. We even got to talk to a cute 72 year old employee who was retiring today!! Our order is always simple: beef taco's and Potato Ole's. Generous portions of meat, cheese and lettuce on our tacos and the Ole's were cooked and seasoned perfectly. An A++ Taco John's! read more

We're in Cheyenne a few times a year and never miss a few meals here. The taco bravo is awesome, always fresh, red, ripe diced tomatoes, crispy lettuce, a truly loaded tasty taco! The potato oles are perfectly cooked and fresh, their nacho cheese is tasty. The service here is outstanding, very clean, amazing value!!! Mountain Dew on tap. This is the place that thinks they own the term "Taco Tuesday"... and they sue small businesses who try to use it. Gross! Anyway - they serve American food here, as in, poorly cooked, poor nutritional content, bland, regular food with lot's of calories. It is junk cosplaying Mexican food. Taco John's has always kinda been an inside joke to me and my friends whenever we visit Cheyenne. I remember this place being a dark and sorry excuse for a Mexican fast food place that did not even stand up to our worst fast food places back in Los Angeles. Boy how times have changed, we walked into a bright new fast food place that actually had good fast food. For old times sake I had the Taco burger and it was fabulous. I paired my burger with 3 shrimp tacos that were a little different being covered with a butter sauce rather than a Mexican flavored sauce, but either way it was delicious. This is my 3rd time trying Taco John's. I have never really enjoyed the food but thought maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things. So I gave it one more shot. NO. I just got the worst burrito I have ever had. The Boss Burrito with Chicken. I specifically asked if it came with tomatoes on it. Which I was told no it did not. So I said great, I will take it as long as there are no tomatoes. I get it home and wow! I could not believe the amount of tomato on this thing! That is really beside the point though. This burrito is loaded with flavorless rice, almost No chicken, a few beans and a giant glob of sour cream. It's like something you throw together with leftovers out of a can in your kitchen as a bachelor in college after a night of drinking. Not something I would expect to pay $12.00 for. And for some reason the meals there come with little hash browns. WTF??? Anyway, bottom tier fast food restaurant. Really can't understand why people eat there. read more

I went back to my H.S. reunion over the Summer. And I hit TJ's up as soon as I could. I had a 6 pack and a pound.....oh man...I was in heaven. In fact, I hit up this location because they have the Apple Grande back!! YAY!! I also hit up the one in Wellington,CO off of I-25, and the one on 11th Ave. in Greeley. Yes. I love Taco Johns. It's an addiction that I don't care to cure. They have Diet Mountain Dew on tap at TJ's, which is extremely rare. Yeah, yeah, yeah....I heard that Diet soda increases your heart attack and stroke rate. Guess what? If I was concerned about that, I wouldn't be eating fast food in the first place. Poop on your studies. Taco John's has never treated me wrong, and I wish there were some here in the Phoenix area. There's one in Tucson, but it's on the AFB, and they frown up you when you sneak on the base just to eat TJ's. Trust me on that one. :( Anyways, keep up the AWESOME job TJ's!! My family had the absolute best service today we've ever had a fast food restaurant! I didn't catch the cashier's name, but a nice young man, high school aged, blonde and with an orange shirt, greeted us and took our order. Once we had our food, he checked on us and even took our trays when we were done. He was enthusiastic and so kind, and made our Taco John's experience one that made our day better! I hope this young man gets all the praise :) really went above and beyond, and is great at his job. read more

The lady who took our order was in a very big rush which I can understand, but when I noticed that I was missing 3 burritos she asked me for my receipt, which I had thrown away, she then said that I better dig in the trash to find it if I want the rest of my order, the only reason these guys still get 2 stars is because the food is still awesome. Avoid it ! The attendant who took our drive thru order had to be repeatedly told what we wanted. It seemed that she had never taken an order for more than one entree, so after we placed the 2nd order and went on to the 3rd, she asked us if we really wanted the first 2 orders. Dooh! For $17, we got a couple of burritos and a quesadilla with two Sierra Mists and headed home. The orders came with Potatoes Ole = Taco Johns for tater tots. When we got home, we dug into the burritos, and after about 2 bites, we sensed that something in the burritos was either burned or stale, and put them in the trash. We then took a test bite of the quesadilla and dumped it, too. Guess where the Potatoes Ole wound up? A little Jack Daniels complemented the Sierra Mist, and we dug something to eat out of the pantry. We will give Taco Johns another try in 2020, but in the meantime, we'll get our burritos at Chipotle on Dell Range. read more
