It took almost 30 minutes for my friend and I to be served at the bar. The first time I was here I had the roundhouse mac n cheese. It was good though nothing special, but the poor service definitely cancelled out what was decent food. The second time I came here on a work dinner, where we somehow stuffed almost 20 people on a long table. Service was a lot better, though maybe it was because I was with a large group. I went during poutine week, so I had the Taco Mac n Cheese Poutine. The mac n cheese was actually mac n cheese bites, which was ehh...but I liked the concept! Cheese curds are good, size was generous, and the nacho beef was cooked well and juicy. So to cancel both visits out, I'll leave is as 3.5/5 for now. If I get good service next visit I'll be happy to bump this up to a 4.

It has been around since 1986, long before I was a resident in this neighbourhood. This eatery was a couple of blocks away from where I lived. It's a restaurant and bar. The menu is mostly Mexican fare. It does have wings and shrimp that seem to be exempt from it. This place is known for its extensive variety of nachos. I used to get the pig and pineapple nachos, which is pulled pork, pineapple, bacon, and cheese with crunchy corn chips. I'm glad that it's still on the menu. I need to return. It's got brisket nachos. I want some! I've also enjoyed the enchiladas. You can choose your protein. It's hearty, filling, and yummy. If you love happy hour, it happens daily from 3:30 pm till 7 pm. I also added lettuce, corn, sour cream, green onions, lime juice, and their hottest sauce, plus one other sauce I forgot the name of. Since it was piled so high, it was somewhat difficult to mix everything up. Overall, it was really delicious, and I enjoyed the barbacoa. Feels like I am just eating rice and beans so I would not order this again. Ranch dressing didn't give it much flavour either. Any burrito can be made into a bowl so I chose the Tex Mex ($7.99 + $1.99 chicken add on)brown rice, black beans, corn, avocado, aged cheddar, pico de gallo, salsa. This one had more flavour though a bit more cheese and salsa would be better. Overall, I think the Mediterranean bowl is probably the best one I've had so far. Food is like the namesake, it's fresh for sure and you don't feel heavy and weighed down after eating their food. Everything ends up being around $12 or so after tax (if you add a protein) - a tad more than a classic fast food place but obviously much healthier. Another reason I prefer this location as there's way more parking then the Corydon Village one. :-)
