Probably the best service from a place like this that I've ever experienced. The gentlemen behind the counter was super friendly and engaging. He greated us as we came in and let us know it would be just a minute and then made sure to include our daughter as he asked about options for the nachos she shared with my wife. He was smiling the whole time and upbeat. It's amazing how such good customer service can just add to the enjoyment of your day, and this guy definitely made ours better. After 25 years in Seattle, we recently moved from high priced Washington state to Wisconsin, and on our way out on I-90 and with a planned fuel stop, we opted to have lunch at this tried and true Taco Del Mar. Very quick service and nice man serving the food. I ordered a taco bowl with vegan meat. I threw up everything within 1 hour. It tasted pretty weird, I shouldn't have eaten it. It looked like it was sitting out all day. Taco Del Mar needs to relook at how they refrigerate their food. I've now thrown up five times since I've eaten the food. Not with eating there. I see the manager wrote to me about my comment. Thank you for writing the procedures your store has. Still, I'm here on vacation (first day) and it's ruined because of food poisoning. Their big burrito is not really all that big, but the ingredients are all fresh and it's much better than fast food. So the little spoons they use, well are small, and barley puts any cheese on it. well I like a hand full of cheese. so to get there they had to put 5 or 6 of these little scoops on. But today when we were leaving I had left a cup of water on our table because I didn't want to dump water in their trash can. As I was walking out the door, The very large attendant said hey you left your water cup. I said I didn't want to pour water in your trash can. He told me I could dump it in the drain of the soda fountain. I had my hands full of a backpack and drinks so I said just a minute. She clearly and rudely stated she would not wear a mask while standing over the open food preparation area. She tried to start an argument with me in front of a lobby. I was honestly waiting for her to come around the counter to become physically combative. She should be fired. She is the one with the jet black hair and lots of eyeliner. After experiencing fish tacos in San Diego -where fish tacos are king, I have not had good experiences trying them at different restaurants in Washington.
