They have a system down were they take your order, promptly serve your order, and they know exactly what you have eaten without any written receipts. So with that said make sure you keep track of what you ordered and what you have received. The tortillas are made by hand with yellow corn, which adds a great dept of flavor. Sort of Umami of the taco world. The carne asada is quite basic while the Tripa (cow intestines) are out of this world good. The Al Pastor tasted too much like chorizo but the pork was cook just right. They also serve Mulitas: two tortillas sandwiching your choice of meat and a tone of stringy melted cheese. Think a quesadilla sandwich. Cash and Spanish only.

You can't get streetside tacos in San Diego like you can in Tijuana. Laws about street food here…read moreare pretty strict, which is why you don't see much more than tamales sold on any street corners. This store has found a way around it ... sort of. What they have is a storefront with a taco stand sitting on the porch. All the tables are outside. The store itself is a pretty sizeable room that acts as nothing more than a huge hallway for the bathroom. (Incidentally, I, uh, don't recommend the bathroom. Best to just skip it.) So, walk up from the sidewalk and order a couple Hidalgo-style tacos. She'll make the tortilla fresh, right in front of you. Tacos something on the order of $1 each. You dress them as you like (as you would in TJ). And you don't have to worry about a long wait at the border. They have pastor and asada and cabeza and perhaps some other things I'd be afraid to try.

The tripe was crispy and juicy at the same time, with incredible flavor in every bite. I had three tacos and honestly wished I could have eaten more. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was pleasant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. A great experience all around. I'll definitely stop by again whenever I'm in the area!

We ordered a lot of tacos and campechana through the drive‑thru and politely asked for three avocado sauces and the red sauce. When they brought our food to the parking lot, we noticed they only gave us one of each. I went inside to ask for more, but the ladies working there were extremely rude. They gave me attitude right away and asked, "Where's your order?" I explained that we ordered through the drive‑thru and I just stepped inside to ask for extra sauce. They kept saying "No puede, no puede," and talking in Spanish with attitude. Someone tried to translate, but they still didn't give me any real explanation -- just "no puede." We bought a lot of food, and getting only one sauce each is unreasonable. Their food is good, and customers love the sauces too. I hope they fix their staff's attitude because this location is very stingy compared to the one on Broadway, where they always give plenty. I usually let things like this slide, but this time I'm writing a review because the rudeness and lack of consideration were unacceptable. People would enjoy this place even more if the staff were kinder and more generous with the sauces. It's just sauce there's no need to be rude. I hope management reads this and addresses the issue. Thank you.

Today I was in the Otay side and didn't want to drive to Tijuana crossing so I looked up a taco place and "El Poblano". First, traffic outside was crazy and if you pull into the parking lot, you will have to back into that crazy traffic. Not great. I wanted one "tripas" taco and one "adobada" taco and had to get into two lines and pay twice. That was odd. Thank goodness there was no line when I got there but after I sat down, there was a decently long line. The meat wasn't bad but the guacamole sauce was not seasoned. Also, they had some radishes but they were not sliced. No carrots and jalapenos in vinegar but they did have some grilled jalapenos. I like the cucumbers and sliced radishes that so many of the good places will offer YET these were expensive. At 45 pesos [$2.65] for the adobada and 70 pesos [$4.38] for the tripas. I was a little surprised because I can get shrimp tacos for that price at another taco place not far from here.

I thought the savoriness of the suadero could've been better. I would've asked for salsa or hot sauce, but they already had an ideal amount of salsa in the taco. It also makes it much easier to order multiple rounds of food. You can even look through the counter while ordering to see the meat and the cooking process. Needless to say, my group went wild and ordered two or three rounds of tacos and left feeling uncomfortably full but also satisfied. We all ended up having our favorites and a few we didn't like, but surprisingly enough, the ones some of us didn't like turned out to be the first choice of others, which is kind of a testament to how this place has something for everyone. My favorite was the tripe taco since they fry some of the bits of organs until they're crispy, and I love that variety of textures. This was also the first experience with cow tongue for a few of my friends, and needless to say, they'll probably be ordering cow tongue at all their taco spots from now on. Service was fast, and the cooking area was also visible from the side through a glass window. I could even see the staff and chefs eating their own tacos as they were prepping ours, which was pretty cool to see.
