We tried the Super Chimi with an option of chicken in one, and beef in the other, excellent! The Fajitas are served on a sizzling skillet with warm soft tortillas which are great! Most of their food comes with rice and beans on the side, and their margaritas are tasty! The authentic Mexican decor throughout just adds to the atmosphere. They are a great place to visit with a date, family or even a decent sized group. It's not very loud, so you can have plenty of time to talk, and the pricing is surprisingly not very expensive. I highly recommended this restaurant, their menu has something for everyone, even those who don't like very spicy food!

Cancun Mexican Grill is located in the Gateway Commons strip mall next to a bank. The menu is a small spiral binder because there are so many menu options. I ordered the Birria Tacos because it was only beef tacos in the Taco section of the menu. The birria tacos are made with slow cooked beef. It was a little chewy and my corn tortillas were falling apart. I had to resort to eating them with a fork. I later ordered tacos for a friend to-go and I was shown the ala carte section at the back of the binder with ground beef tacos for purchase for one or three tacos. I believe those were better than mine with hard shells. The service was fine. They were very quick in bringing our food. We started out with chips and salsa. I would have liked individual saucers for the three of us so we weren't continuing to dip our chips in the same bowl of salsa. The restaurant is a nice size. They have plenty of seating options - booth, table & chairs and a bar area. Tip: Look for coupons in the local paper for $7 or $10 off.

Every single employee said hello, gave a smile, or conversed with us. Wow! That is rare and it felt great to be there. Patio outside for those warm days. They offer beer, cider, wine, spirits... you name it. We went with a few beers and they were great. Menu is clearly labeled with sours containing lactose. Love when it's easy to spot. Food menu has loads of vegetarian options with a small few that could be vegan. We only ordered the spent grain pretzels with mustard and they were delicious. They do have tofu or Beyond burgers to sub on the burger menu if you're vegan. Carnivores have loads of options here. Great down-home Mexican food!…read more Tucked away in a small strip mall in New Hudson, is this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. It has authentic mariachi music playing softly, and the decor is done in South of the border flair. It's an authentic down-home mom and pop owned and operated Mexican restaurant, that serves excellent food. I've been dying to get back in to this place and am glad we finally did! The owners are a really nice husband and wife team that actually walk around and thank people for coming in, and try to share a laugh with every person that comes in. They also work as waitstaff, bar and kitchen. They really seem to enjoy what they do, and the food speaks for itself. Pricing was very good per person, generally all under $20 each, and chips and salsa made fresh daily and is served to everyone. They have multiple different flavored margaritas shown as a signature, and serve a bunch of Mexican beer, in addition to standard domestic and regular mixed drinks. We ordered the sizzling combo fajitas and the chimichanga dinner, Both good choices. I highly recommend going here. If you aren't a big Mexican food fan they have steak on the menu, but the atmosphere, attention to guests and the owners directly involved makes this a great place to stop in. They can take large parties also. We've been looking for an authentic (mom's kitchen style) Mexican restaurant since moving from the desert southwest, this is it. Spread the word, they could use the business. We will be back.

Something you would see in a resort town on the water, similar to the old Weathervane in Charlevoix or Ricciardi's in Eastport. Price per plate is a bit higher, but it's not a turn off as the walleye, and Euro burger both were really good. Our server was also very sweet and helpful in knowing her menu well, and was able to assist us with deciding a little better on what we wanted. Food was served promptly too. Most menu items end up around $30 per person, as it's $1.00 for raw onion or $3.00 if you want fries etc. The cons of this trip: The burger was beyond medium well, and very dry. Our server did all she could to assist, it's not her fault. There are many places that have trouble getting temperatures right at times. She had another one right away to replace it. And it was fine after that. The other issue is sports. I'm not sure what it is with this state, that everybody seems to think everything has to be about sports. It suddenly turned from a nice atmosphere, to guys uncontrollably losing bladder control, yelling and clapping over some game on the tv. I guess we were hoping to get away from the sports bar atmosphere for a minute, and apparently there's nowhere anyone can go, including here. Maybe one day they could put Yellowstone reruns on, and we can jump up and down cheering uncontrollably when someone goes to the train station! Not trying to down the place, we think it was just an off night for us, so we'll try again in the future. They have some pretty good reviews from others and we're hoping to get there also. Everybody (EXCEPT the Pound in Brighton) deserves a few tries. It's a very clean place with beautiful accents, and the flame lanterns outside are a great touch.

Locals really like this spot, for good reason. It's comfortable, clean and service is fair to good. I placed an order for a carryout pizza and bread. With the busy bar it took a few minutes to catch the bartender to order; expect that placing an order might take a few extra minutes, so if you're in a hurry it might be best to just call ahead. I came in to grab a pizza to take home and ordered a large square ($19 for deep dish versus $17 for hand tossed) with 3 toppings (pepperoni, caramelized onions and Kalamata olives). I have to say, they have some top shelf toppings that you won't find at Jet's. Each additional topping on a large is $2.50, fyi. After looking at the menu online, I was considering ordering a 1/2 and 1/2 large but the pricing for each additional 1/2 topping was still $2.50. Maybe that was a website glitch but that would've meant that I was spending double the price to top a large pizza?! Anyway, I ordered the large and topped the whole thing the same; it was $26.50 for the 3 topping pie. I will give them props for their large squares!.. they are big...bigger than a Jet's larges (14x10), measuring 14x14. I liked that! They topped it with a good amount of pepperoni and a fair portion of the olives, but they chinced me on the cheapest topping, the caramelized onions. There were hardly any : ( Moving on, I ordered a feta bread too. They included both Ranch and pizza sauce, which I appreciate! Their pizza sauce is pretty good, the Ranch is standard but serviceable. Overall, I think it was a pretty good pie and bread for the price. I did see a ton of great items on their menu so I'll need to try them again.
