Has steadily gone downhill since I started going a handful of years ago. I gave it a second star only because it has not yet randomly closed. Although previous experiences have been similar, this one was especially dismal in customer service. Other experiences (particularly today) include management (or workers who do not want to make certain items) telling customers that many of the favorite menu items are no longer being served. DO NOT COME FROM MILES AWAY in hopes of receiving a particular item (like I did). If you do, call ahead of time to ensure they are serving it. I even ordered items in the app only to find out that they are unable (or unwilling) to serve it (which is why I say call first). They have gone as far as to give highly inflated wait times (40 mins for Taco Bell) which I believe was to discourage ordering Taco Bell in hopes I would order from the KFC side. 40 Min wait during lunch? It's time to fire some employees! Taco Bell in St. Albans, VT, is not worth the one-star required to post this review! The employees are actively trying to get this place shut down. The speaker to place your order isn't placed well; you have to wait for the car in front of you to pull up unless you want to scream out your window; this is what my father did. My father, who is elderly, waited for the person in the car in front of us to pull up to place his order. I heard a male employee try to take his order, but my father who is hard of hearing, couldn't hear him. When my father pulled up, we noticed it was now a female employee. This employee snapped at my father when my father said "hello"; she was angry because my father waited to get closer to the speaker. I replied to her by saying that we were too far back to place the order, but she continued to act rude to my father until it was evident that she wanted to take her anger out on him. I tried to ignore this, but after my father slowly placed his order with her, she asked him to repeat the whole order over again. I tried to help my father understand what she was asking him to do, so I asked, which part of the order do you want him to repeat? This is when she responded, "the whole order". Due to her confrontational tone of voice and how she was treating my father, I had enough; I asked for her name; she refused to give me her name but she claimed that she is the manager, which I find hard to believe. She then refused to provide the service when I became angry at how she was treating my father. My father was confused as he couldn't hear what was going on, so my father kindly asked if she had received the order; she told him again that she wouldn't take his order. My father thanked her, and then drove off. Well, what are you gonna do? They are the only Taco Bell within an hour, they don't have to be good! The service is hit or miss. The accuracy of orders is usually OK. The speed of the order is hit or miss as well. I usually come inside to order. Sometimes they are pretty fast, other times it can be quite a wait. The biggest negative for me is this Taco Bell in Vermont has higher prices than what I am used to. Something as basic as a bean burrito is nearly 2 bucks.
