I am giving one star this time around because of the constant inability to fulfill any order. Just like the McDonalds in town, there is absolutely no quality control and no one seems to know how to do it. It might not seem alike a huge deal to the individual when they go through the drive thru and they don't give one bag of chips, but those chips are three dollars a bag. If they do that kind of order shortfall to everyone, everyday, that adds up to a lot of profit they don't deserve. For anyone reading this, don't ever feel like you are being a nuisance by staying in line by checking your bag for every single item. Went there for breakfast and ordered the breakfast quesadilla. It was loaded with bacon and tasted very good. The has brown was average. Coffee was ok, nothing great. I've been to this Taco Bell several times over a period of several years, and I have had everything from a 1-star experience to a 5-star experience. Overall, this Taco Bell is usually pretty good, and they average around 3-stars. I have only had a couple of really poor experiences here. On one occasion, they forgot multiple items in my order that I had paid for. I was really not too happy about this, especially because I didn't discover this until I was too far away to return. However, out of all of my visits, this has only happened once. Another poor experience occurred during my most recent visit. I was rather short on cash so I decided to get a few items off of their "Value Menu" after I had looked them up on the tacobell.com website. Upon ordering, the cashier was insistent that the items I ordered were NOT the "$1.00" prices on the website because this particular Taco Bell is a franchise and it may not adhere to the prices from their corporate office. Admittedly, after looking at the bottom of their website, I then saw the disclaimer, in very small font, stating "At participating locations. Prices may vary." I think that the inability of this Taco Bell owner to follow Taco Bell corporate guidelines is a poor decision that can easily disappoint numerous customers. However, I have also had really good experiences here as well. On a different visit, there was an unusually long wait through the drive-thru and the cashier was very apologetic for the delay. To my surprise, she gave my kids free Freezes because of the extended wait. Needless to say, my kids were really happy because of this kind gesture. The details above highlight the extremes of my experiences, from a couple of 1-star experiences to a 5-star experience. I am tired of self check out in all businesses. Today I went into Taco Bell and the employee asked if I was paying cash or card. I replied cash and he took my order. Unfortunately, when I opened my wallet, I realized I would need to use my card. He wanted me to go over to the kiosk and restart the order. Absolutely ridiculous! This taco bell charges as much as they can compared to any other taco bell, they never take part in any of the promotions you see on tv, as a result they are as much if not more expensive than any of the sit down mexican places in rosamond. 14 bucks for a fast food meal is not acceptable. Some people ask for No Cheese because of taste preferences. I ask for NO CHEESE because of food allergies! This food allergy causes my throat to swell, inhibiting my abilities to swallow AND breath! It would be really nice to be able to order NO CHEESE and not have to risk a trip to ER, but if I continue to come to this Taco Bell, I put my life life in danger if I even once take a bite of food made here WITHOUT checking. I read the reviews AFTER I had to come back to return a beef burrito that came without the beef! I would never recommend this Taco Bell to anyone. They always mess up your order and will do it multiple time's. Tonight around 7 pm i went placed my order got my food and headed home. I got home saw my order was wrong, i tried to multiple times with no answer. I head back over let the drive thru girl know they messed up and asked them to remake it. They do i check most of the food then head home. I get home to realized the messed up Again so here i go i head back let the girl know they messed up again she tells me to pull up, i do she has one item ready asked me to check it. She hands me the rest of my order and I tell her thank you for being so helpful and i hope she has great night. I completely see why this place has one star. Ive been twice since moving here, and each time my chalupa's were cold and HARD! Why is a chalupa hard on one side?! This place needs a serious audit by corporate or the franchise owner. Imagine it's a Thursday night in Rosamond California and not a single car is served in 15 minutes at the drive through. So you bail out and go inside and there's half a dozen people inside waiting 20-30 min and they still haven't gotten their food. Cashier claims they are "busy" but I see no one eating everyone is just waiting and the grills look cold. 3-4 employees and not one of them look like they are even preparing food. F-this. I have eaten at several Taco Bells in my life, and my experiences have been anywhere between 'OK' to terrible in them. But, it has never been anything but awful at this particular location. To start, the management there is un-skilled and careless. I have both dined in and went through drive thru, both ways are extremely slow, and I've had to go back several times to have my food re-made because they never make things correctly in my order! Its always missing something, forgets to remove something, and the food items are usually very 'chincy' (ie: not making target weight, that's for sure!). Oh yeah! And I don't know why this is.. but at this particular location, it ALWAYS smells in there! Like rotting sewage or something.
