My first encounter with this local gem was over twenty years ago on my first visit to this Ohio town, and it's still around with improvements, enhancements and is still great overall! A terrific family run business. From its jam-packed with a wide array of dry and can goods on grocery shelves, great meats, extensive local baked goods, and a much renovated and expanded restaurant and really nice Mexican-style bar! If you're in town and are in the mood for an ice-cold Dox Equis and/or Jalisco style Mexican cuisine, this the place for you! Their goodies run the gamut from an incredible Pozole to Grilled Chicken delights, to delectable Burritos to mouthwatering tacos, some terrific, refried beans and incredible chips and salsa! There were no bottles of hot sauce that we could use to spice things up. They did provide some salsa that was more like just tomato sauce with some cilantro in it. The birria had no adobo sauce and was very dry. I understand that meat needs to be cooked with the fat to help impart flavor and preserve juiciness, but here is a limit.
