Place my order on the kiosk, when it came time to get my receipt, I had three choices: text message, email, or no receipt. I'm not giving Taco Bell my phone number or email, so I hit no receipt. I want to start off by saying I love Taco Bell, I like all their new menu items and freezes. However, this location is so inconsistent and I've had a problem with my order almost everytime I've come here. We got the Mexican Pizza trying to see what all the hype was about. It was good but a little soggy but I do see the appeal. I like the interesting items they come up with. We had the nachos bellgrande they were great, chips a little soggy but it was to go so understandable. I think they should put the chips and toppings in different containers when it's to go. Unlike so many of the low ratings reviews, I have never had a bad experience at this Taco Bell location, and I love their tacos and burritos. We usually go there on Sunday's around 1 PM (don't stalk me!) and sometimes for dinner, so I don't know what it's really like during the week or late at night, and I have never used their drive-thru (there...disclaimer out of the way). This place is finally NOT like walking into a time warp and being transported back to 1995. They've recently remodeled and modernized this establishment, and it's done a lot of good. I wouldn't go so far as to say everything's "perfectly clean and pristine", but what's the place gonna do, it's a Taco Bell. The service is hit or miss, like every other Taco Bell. The food is standard and obviously much better after a few libations, also like every other Bell. But it is what it is. WiFi rarly works if any. Food is thinner and lacking compared to other Taco Bells. We have ordered an empanada once and they try to push a cinnamon toast Twist on us in a roll up the bag and hide it and I even tell us about it. Drinks are always either out or awkwardly mixed. This particular Taco Bell location is very hit or miss, to the point now I might consider finding somewhere else to eat after many displeasing experiences with the food. Sometimes the quesadilla I order is either cooked a little too long despite a loud beeping noise that informs the kitchen staff that it is finished, and/or not properly sliced so upon attempting to pull it apart by its segments, it rips unevenly and results in the chicken or other contents from falling out or making a mess within its bag. Additionally, the hard taco shells are often unsatisfactory. More often than not, I receive hard tacos where it's extremely soggy at the bottom of the shell. I can't figure out if perhaps it's from the grease on the beef or what, but the hard tacos lack the integrity to not split apart. What finally inspired me to submit this criticism was perhaps the worst chalupa I ever ate from Taco Bell. The color of the shell was worrying, as it wasn't as browned or even crispy as it normally is. Instead, it was extremely hard to bite into as if it had been left to sit for some time before being stuffed with the meat and condiments. The shell certainly wasn't fresh, if anything, it might have been stale. Just like with the hard taco shells, it eventually split at the bottom which saw the meat and sour cream falling from the shell that is supposed to contain it. I had to scoop up the meat with a utensil to eat what was the only good part about the chalupa, which is sad because the shell which is supposed to be crispy and flaky, is normally the best part. I immediately tossed the chalupa out of fear I'd get food poisoning. Anybody who is familiar with the chalupa menu item knows that the shell isn't supposed to be hard and is typically softer to chew. Ironically, despite the chalupa being inedible, the quesadilla was prepared properly this time and the hard shell taco, one of the menu items which I have to mentally prepare myself for due to how bad they usually are, was crunchy and fresh and not soggy. This Taco Bell location is extremely inconsistent with the quality of its food, and while I realize it's fast food and far from real Mexican food, they should still be held to certain standards. read more
