Taco Bell is usually a safe haven for all late night munchies (breakfast as well). This venue lived up to expectations. Having bad expectation from reading reviews, I was dodgy. However Hardee's didn't fit my mood so I took the risk and was not dissatisfied in any manner. This place has got you back. Want decent Taco Bell, you got it. If you're a TB sauce fiend, ask and you will receive. For a small town, this place exceeded my expectations and would definitely advise visiting if you got the crave. Enjoy you're 4th meal ; ) read more

I would give zero if I could. Lazy bunch of kids that do not care. Apparently, the manager also doesn't care, since the problems are on-going and doest improve. Tonight I had not one, but two orders messed up, back to back. I will never order from here again. YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER read more

Wouldn't work here again. Or eat here. They bean look like rabbit pellets and the beef is frozen and the store is hardly clean

At 12:20pm today me and my boyfriend went through the drive through! the man taking the orders was great but when we got up to the window we were met with a heavier set blonde who threw our bag at us and said "HERE YOU GO" there was sour cream and cheese all over my bag with NO NAPKINS & when we asked you could tell she was frustrated. we then realized that the extra cheese cup we paid for was missing from our bag so my boyfriend went into the resturaunt to ask for our cheese. when he went in he was met with "WHAT DO YOU NEED" and then the cheese thrown at him across the table. As someone who used to work in fast food i could never imagine even talking to people like that for NO REASON. or honestly in general, this is the face that is representing your resturaunt. read more

Good food idk why everyone hate it nachos are very nice add the drive through was not long

Waited in the drive through at the order taker for 5-10 minutes and they did not even take my order during that time. I got tired of waiting and just left. Normally I wouldn't review based on one experience, but this was at noon on a busy Sunday. Don't bother coming here, after reading other reviews, it's not worth the wait. read more

Best taco bell in all of southern illinois, if you dont line their service then yall are crazy, the gm of this place is nice and amazing to work with, food is good and their nice people, been working with them through pepsi for almost 2 years read more

Placed an online order at 1:30. The app said it was ready at 1:40. I arrived at 1:45 and my food was not there. I waited until 2:00 and then asked the guy at the cashier if my order had went through or not (still not upset or anything cause I know how it is). The guy at the cashier refused to help me and check on my order and proceeded to tell me that it was MY fault because I ordered on the app. After he started In on me, two other old guys in line started to also tell me that it's my fault because technology is untrustworthy. I left at 2:15 without my order because I had to be at work. I went back on break, and was still refused my order. I tried to get a refund and have not heard back. This was 3 weeks ago. read more

They always say their machines are down and are out of everything. Don't even waste your time going there.

One of the worst restaurants in town; they are consistently "out" of the main items like chicken or beef or lettuce and no one seems to find this odd. (The other Taco Bell here in town has never had this issue, so I cannot figure out why this location can't get their supplies in order). They also will make you wait forever for your order if they don't feel like making it...went in with friends, they ordered and paid and I used a reward for a free item; friends got their order quickly, I waited 20 minutes because the employees didn't want to provide a free item. read more

Went to this location last month while spending the night at a near by hotel. The guy working behind the counter was whispering to a "customer" while they kept looking back at me. Of course, that "customer" was handed multiple bags of food for him and his homies and they left without paying (they arrived at the same time as me). Meanwhile the "customer" slammed into me as I was leaving and called me a f'n cracker. Anyways, I began to order but was interrupted by the same "customer" who then shoved me aside and started arguing with his homie. What does the employee do, start slapping hands and saying "sorry bro, damn dawg i forgot". Took me 20 minutes to even place my order. Meanwhile Mr. gangster customer was glaring at me from his car outside. I didn't check my order before I left, got to my hotel and of course it was not even close to being right. If you go to this location late at night, be packing...because you never know what "customers" will be there. read more

Big mistake. The floor was mopped with a greasy mop. They should use two mops. One for the kitchen and one for the dining room. read more

No chips!!! The drink machine was broken. They were mopping the entire floor. Almost slipped. These people need to be replaced and maybe the manager fired. Less than 1 star if I could. Trash. read more

Only thing that was enjoyable was the tea! Order took forever no lettuce on anything and the food was a joke!!

Not sure why the poor previous reviews.... all I can say is that I have been here twice. Once through the drivethrough and once dine in. Both times were fabulous for fast food. I special order everything and my order was correct on both occasions. And if that isn't enough, the service was spectacular!! Quintin goes above and beyond and a huge shout out to Jeff the manager too!! The day I went in I was having a crappy day and by the time I left the employees had me smiling ear to ear :) AND I had a delicious cheap lunch! read more

Any time I come threw here there either out of meat or out of shells. There always out of something. Today I came threw around 9am and they didn't have a breakfast menu I asked if they served breakfast she said yes. I asked where the menu was and she just started naming the items they had. No prices or anything. I asked am I the first person to ever order breakfast from them and she said yes. I drove away cause I knew at this point whatever I got was gonna have spit in it read more

Taco Bell - Fast Food Near Me - Mount Vernon, Illinois

Service was terrible. Every taco bell I go to my order is wrong. missing 3 tacos & my other 3 tacos were wrong :/

Made an online order and still had to wait 15 mins for it to be prepared. I noticed it's currently rated a 1.5 which is very low on the yelp review standards I can tell from only one visit this place is poorly managed. read more

Horrible wait. We waited 45 min and didn't get our food and left. They also told us not to drink the water and it smelt like chemicals. They aren't lying with the 1 star rating. Don't risk it. read more

Slow! they can't get your order right if there life depended on it. Kitchen area is dirty.

Worst restaurant experience of any kind (I get it, we're talking Taco Bell here). Waited an hour and 15 minutes for Taco-feaking Bell. Everyone's orders were either incomplete or wrong. We were special, on an order with no special requests it was prepared incorrectly twice. At one point, someone waiting in the back of the line decided they didn't want to wait any longer, placed a mobile order and then jumped ahead of everyone else. Plus there was trash everywhere- outside (boxes and trash can liners that had blown from the restaurant), inside the dining area and, particularly, all over the kitchen area. Can you give something no stars? read more

Taco Bell is generally reliable, however, after stopping here on a trip south I was very disappointed. Everything was slow. We ordered food and it took almost 20 minutes to get the food and tacos were very small and our cheese containers were smashed to the point of being unusable. read more

They need more workers. Always understaffed and long waits. Those that are working are doing lots of work but they need about 2 more people every shift in order to keep up with customers. read more

Garbage over flowing, terrible customer service, out of sauces, dirty tables, slow service. Complete mess.

Ok so this place only had one review and it was one star. I will give it 4. Staff could have greeted me when I came in instead of taking a loooong time breaking open coin rolls. Other than that it was fair on cleanliness. Food consistent with other taco bells. Restroom allows a single user to lock it and it has both towels and blow dryer for hands. read more

All fast food employees in mount Vernon Illinois are the slowest moving people I have ever encountered but this Taco Bell is by far the worst the honors used to be McDonald's I'm sure that when these workers get a job with the state highway department the roads will get worse than they are now I think Illinois has something in the water read more

I came in before work at a little after 8pm and they were out of Sweet Tea! I kindly asked if they could make some and they said they weren't going to make any! Way to take care of the customer!!! I won't be back!!! read more

Worst taco bell ever... i drive the extra 30 minutes now to go to salem if i want taco bell. The bathroom was disgusting the food was cold and they get my order wrong every single time. I dont know whats so hard about no lettuce or tomato on a taco haha. read more

When I ordered food or asked a question the clerk didn't respond and I had to repeat myself multiple times for them to respond back to me, as if they were annoyed. When I pulled up to the window the clerk didn't say anything just handed me my drink and took my card, there was no customer service once so ever. Then I sat there for nearly 10 minutes waiting for my food with no one before or after us. Then when I received my food, the meat cheese and lettuce of our chalupa was mostly poured out all over our bag, sauce packets and napkins. The crunchy tacos were all completely broken and their contents were also spilled all over the wrappers. The Crunchwrap tortilla and hard taco inside were both stale and the entirety was dry like it had been in the warmer for hours. The cheesy Gordita crunch had nearly nothing between the 2 shells and the outer shell was chewy and seemed nearly uncooked at all. This was absolutely the worst experience I have EVER had at any Taco Bell in the country, and I am active military so I do a lot of traveling for my job. Between the awful customer service, the disastrous mess in the bag, and the terrible food quality, this store is a terrible representation of the Taco Bell brand. read more

This is the "Second Time" I have left there very disappointed..The first time I waited in the drive up for close to 40 minutes.. Only to see what the wait was all about.. the girl taking our orders was way to busy texting on her phone to take care of her customers.. sad sad... Then tonight I waited at least 35 minutes on the "Inside" for my order.. The first 15 minutes there was no one to even be found at the desk to take my order.... and to say the least when I did get my order it was the most mixed up order that I have ever experienced anywhere!! .. nothing at all like I had ordered.. sad sad.. and the worst part about it tonight was.. that you could see all of the worker there in the back.. food flying everywhere.. the floor was so slick with food that I don't know how they were even standing up!! I know you guys can do better than that!! IF something is not done to straighten up the Mt.Vernon, Illinois Taco Bell.. you will be losing MORE customers like me.. read more
