The food tasted like it had been sitting for a while--everything just had that "stewed too long" flavor. We enjoyed the Al pastor with pineapple tacos the most but the others including the chicharron and asada we didn't even eat. It's possible we didn't order the right things, but overall it just didn't hit the mark for us. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but I'm not sure we'd give it another try. If we did, we wouldn't order tacos.

The pork taco was dripping with charred pork flavor and came with grilled onions on the side. The double corn tortilla kept everything together as I dug in bite after bite. When the loaded steak fries showed up, my jaw dropped to the ground! This thing was big enough for 3-4 people to share...whoopsy! The crispy fries came layered with strips of grilled steak, a white cheese sauce, guacamole and a sour cream drizzle. Damn these things were good! And if that wasn't enough, I also ordered dessert because I am a sucker for flan (I grew up in Miami and have eaten probably one million flans). I've visited La Poblana more times than I can count, so I've tried almost everything on the menu. Tacos, Quesadillas, Burritos, they have it all. This visit, I ordered the Chicken Burrito with a side of chips and guacamole. The burrito was incredible. La Poblana does an incredible job of balancing out each ingredient. One of my favorite things about La Poblana is that you get to pick what salsa you want with your meal. I always get a side of both the mild green salsa as well as the spicy red salsa.
