Well, I have been wanting to try this new restaurant out for awhile. First of all, I walk in at…read moreabout 6pm and notice they have put most of their hot sides up even though they close at 8pm. So, I can't get any macaroni and cheese nor mashed potatoes and gravy. Therefore, I have to settle for coleslaw and potato wedges. Anyway, I recommend getting here a few hours before they close or you will have only a couple sides to choose from as they put up the good hot sides. I ask cook for what I want and she gives me a look as if though she wants me to leave her alone. Anyway, she wasn't very friendly to say the least. She also didn't give me a plastic fork to eat my meal with. I had to ask them for a straw too which they keep behind the counter. Plastic forks are back there too. I ask for a combo meal which includes 2 pieces of dark meat chicken, 2 sides, biscuit and a drink for about $5.50. However, cashier tried to charge me $8.00 for it. So, I had to question her and have the price corrected. The fried chicken was great but my biscuit was hard as a rock. The coleslaw was not good. I decided to take my potato wedges home to give to furry friend who will love them as I didn't like them either. However, the best part of the meal was the fried chicken which gives them a solid 3 stars. Location: It's located a few miles East of Greenwood off Highway 82 close to The McDonald's.

Recommend the all-meats plate, great way to try out the ribs, sausage, pulled pork and chicken at the same time. It's located in an older largely empty commercial strip but that means it has plenty of parking. Largely a take-away place but there is a table or two inside. Employees said they shifted to take out during the pandemic and never shifted back. Flavorful sauce too. Why not a five? I ordered and paid off a piece of homemade cake but it wasn't packed in with the other goodies. So check the bag before you leave!

We attempted to place an order that included this and were told they do not have GF pasta, the best alternative was GF PIZZA. When we asked for clarification from the manager, no apology, no customer service. Instead, this trash blames the server for ''miscommunication', then proceeds to tell us that they can make some GF pasta, but don't typically sell it. Attempted to make a slight alteration to my order and was then told, by our server, because bitchy manager Karen wants a flex, they cannot customize items on the menu. One employee told us that if we get sick from being served non-GF pasta, we should "take this place down". Shit dining and customer service. Seriously. Fire this trash manger or enjoy bankruptcy court.

This restaurant is really interesting for its history; it's been around since 1936, and still has…read moremany of its original decor features. It is attached to the Alluvian Hotel which has been around just as long. I would say it's good to go to at least once if you're in the Greenwood MS area, if only for the history. The service is always kind but takes a LONG time to get any kind of drinks or food. The food is at best OK. I really enjoy their crawfish dip appetizer, but have had several items on the menu for entrees, including their Delta Catfish filet (the sauce was ok, and the catfish fresh but it was not flavorful), and their Spinach stuffed Manicotti (this was touted as one of their best entrees according to the waitress, but the pasta was over cooked and the flavor was nothing special; I've certainly had much better), which were both subpar. The dessert was decent, but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed their gelato, but it could have just as easily come from a jar purchased at the grocery store. TLDR: I've come to this restaurant several times now (wanted to give it a decent shot since I'm not from the area) and I would go for the history but not stay for the food. It's overpriced for the quality and the service is way too slow. Even though a few items were decent (I.e. the crawfish dip), there isn't enough there for me to sit down and have another meal. *This review is generous because it's in the middle of nowhere MS
