So why the stars, you might ask. They need to make certain their wait staff understand what the customer wants. I said all I wanted on my tacos were chicken, cheese and sour cream. What I got was a plate of tacos with chicken, sour cream and cheese. So what's the problem? That's all I got. No rice, no beans, no thing. The waiter was not very friendly and had to be called several times before he came to see what we wanted. Where else can you go around here and have a $1.99 beer on Sunday night?? Between my colleagues and I we've sampled a lot of the menu this past week. One thing to note, avoid the oysters. (I wouldn't even try them and my two colleagues that did, wish they hadn't.) Shouldn't even be on the menu. Also, the fajita nachos are simply that... fajita meat and veggies, dumped on some chips (very disappointing). Other than those two items, everything else has been acceptable or better. This place has a good atmosphere and seems to be a local favorite, especially on the weekends. Good Morning Mr. Martinez, I pray this message reaches you. On 06/07/21Tuesday Evening, a few of my family members decided to visit your establishment No Way Jose in Greenwood MS. I live in Texas and whenever I come home we make plans to visit your restaurant because of the great food and drinks. I always planned to take my husband because your restaurant is his favorite. Whenever he visits he orders his favorite drink which is the atomic bomb that has the small bottle of Jose on the side. He ordered the drink and noticed it tasted different. He pulled the small bottle from the side and it was replaced with a different bottle of tequila. Something that started with an S. We asked our waiter if we could get what was in your drink menu and he replied with it's the same. So we asked to speak with the manager which I think his name was Pedro. He came to our table and my husband explained to him that the drink he had wasn't what he ordered and was not the same as what was in the menu. He stated that it was all the same. And because of the pandemic that's all he had. So my husband stated that it doesn't taste the same because of the different tequila and "Pedro" grab the drink off the table and told us Not to come back! Which was very rude. Because how can you tell people not to come back over a misunderstanding of a drink. Plus the drink menu shows how the drink is supposed to be made. So I paid for the small queso I ordered and we left. I still wanted to order food because I'm pregnant. But My husband was really upset because he's not use to being talked to with such disrespect and rudeness over a misunderstanding with your restaurant. I wish you could play your cameras back to see and hear what took place and see how your manager handled the situation. I ordered a Fajita Taco Salad w/Chicken and there is more lettuce, big pieces of onion and bell pepper. There was no taste on top of that the person that took my husbands money was rude. I am disabled so I don't go out much so I tried to call it in and the music in the background was so loud he kept saying he couldn't hear me and hung up. I am from New Jersey but stopped here On 1/14/22 after my uncles wake. We asked for high chair, he brings it out dirty, food particles in it, and just brushes it out and says here is the chair. He never wiped it or sanitized it?! It's a virus running ramped!!! The service is TERRIBLE!!! It was about 15 of us, the server took our orders but couldn't remember who order what when the food came out, so they just yelled out like "who ordered etc"! Instead of him placing your plate of food on the table he handed it to you, I say that because my father had a stroke and his hands don't function fully and this man hands him a plate with 2 bowls of hot cheese, luckily I was paying attention and was able to grab it. Our tables never got cleared from all the cheese dip, tortilla chips we ordered. So our food and drinks were bought out on top of that's, he reached over you to hand drinks out!! (Where I'm from that's rude and nasty to reach over, anything can fall into you drink/food!! Now everyone has good except me, some how he got my cheese fries right, but he supposedly put my 7 jumbo fried shrimp in as fried catfish. Then told us if we want the catfish we had to pay for it! So I patiently waited for my correct order, it finally came out. Of course he hands it and walks away, no I'm trying to put this heavy plate on table with no room, and 2 shrimp fall on table. So I tried to explain when happened and why it happened, he had a blank look like ok eat the shrimp. I ask for a manager, I explained how full the table was and my ordered was wrong I patiently waited and some of my food fell and I wasn't eating it off the table. So the manager says ok, he will bring me 2 more shrimp but can we put the 2 that fell on a saucer so he can take them. Hmmm, so my cousin puts them in foil and balls the foil up! He asks for the 2 shrimp as if I need to steal, or get 2 free shrimp, lmfao, I'm far from broke sir!!!! I'm just not into wasting my hard earned money because your lacking!!! Now 10-15 mins later they bring me 2 burnt shrimp, which was the same shrimp the fell on the table, I'm not stupid! They refried the original shrimp and I told him that I told him I didn't want them nor did I want the rest of my order. He responded with well you have to pay for it! We came to what we thought was a restaurant but which turned out to be a sports bar (tonight, that is. We've been here several times before, when it was, indeed, a restaurant). Everything was fine until football came on TV -- then the manager refused to have the the volume turned down on the TV closest to us. Mind you, there are 10 or so TVs scattered throughout the place. We were simply asking for the volume on ONE TV to be turned down so that we could hear the Mexican music. The manager moved us to a back room (which tonight happened to be empty) and this was appreciated. HOWEVER, he was a poor listener and was argumentative, stating, "Everybody wants to watch sports...it's our policy that all TVs have to have sports." We certainly didn't want to watch sports, and he didn't poll other customers; instead, he just repeated this mantra over and over. Our server was very sympathetic but was ultimately helpless to convince the manager to compromise. A good restaurant has BOTH good food and good service. We felt insulted and so, sadly, we will not be back. read more

I have been here three times. This is by far and away the best Mexican restaurant in Greenwood. Very subtle and flavorful dishes. The Chile rellenos are outstanding. Very nice fajiitas. Everyone who has eaten here with me has been mightily impressed. A big step up from the restaurant that used to occupy this space.
