Holy Schneikies!!!! They were not pulling my leg in the previous reviews!…read more I don't know what the heck is wrong with me, but I've lived in the area for about a year and a half and thankfully checked Yelp today, Easter Sunday, to see what casual restaurants were open. This looked interesting, and I followed the reviews over the bridge to the road much less traveled. It is literally a little food trailer with an adjacent building and an awning with outdoor seating just sitting on the side of the road, pumping out excellent food and service. There was a decent little line when I arrived, but the staff is very friendly and apologized for a couple of items being completely blown out. That's what I get for showing up for lunch at 1 o'clock. I ordered the lingua burrito minus beans but add a little cheese and took the mild hot sauce on the side since I'm an old white lady and can't handle the super spicy stuff now. About 10 minutes later, they called my number and I sat down to open a to go box that contained a beautifully toasted burrito about the size of my head. The first bite knocked my socks off! And that's saying quite a bit because the first bite usually has nothing but tortilla and tomatoes and rice in it. From top to bottom this thing was jampacked with delicious tender lingua, but it was the fresh greens, delicious Mexican rice, the super yummy salsa and grilled onions plus whatever else they've blessed me with. Let's just put it this way: It was SO good, I left a $10 tip. The only cons I could find were a lack of napkins set out for self service or in my bag, and some ice for the sodas would be nice, but I don't even care. I moved here from California and have had a real hard time finding authentic Mexican cuisine. The only way you could make Valdiva Brothers any better as if they also did El Pastor and added the ice and napkins. It'll be on regular rotation now, I almost ate the whole thing. It was so delicious.

What a find! This roadside Mexican food truck serves up a beautiful burrito. Based on other rave…read moreYelp reviews and our need for non-fried food we were so happy this little gem was on our travel path. Ordered a grande chicken burrito con todo. Service was friendly & prompt. The burrito was beautiful, well packed and delicious. Personal preference: would have loved a little more beans inside but overall it was so satisfying to eat. The little side of caramelized onions were savory and a perfect complement. The "mild" salsa was beautiful and deceiving. It had a real kick to it! If you're in the area, don't pass it up.

Saw this place listed on Google maps while my husband and I were here to visit my Dad. I'm in love…read morewith Birria tacos and have been since I first saw someone eating one on The Food Network and then I ate my first one...they are the best things I've ever tasted in my life! We ordered TONS of food here and not only ate two meals worth for $40, but there's leftovers from that second meal AND I had my step mom try one of the birria tacos too, dipped in the consommé and she loves it too! We got 6 Birria tacos with 2 containers of consommé (darned if I forgot to take pictures until it was too late!!) and they even check to make sure what filling you want (pork or beef), what toppings (cilantro and onions) and a huge assortment of sauces! They're literally amazing! We also ordered an enchilada plate with 2 Chicken enchiladas, rice, beans and although they may have been out of the red sauce, they did have a nacho cheese sauce and it was just as good as any sauce she could've put on or in them, in my opinion. My husband LOVED them! Then we got 4 tamales that they make themselves fresh and they were very good. They're freshly steamed, moist and filled with lots of whatever you choose. They had ground beef, pork and chicken. We got the pork and they were fabulous. Maybe a touch too much masa on the outside or what becomes the ends from inside the corn husk, but they were still very very good. We would've gotten more food, but we were on a time crunch and had to grab and go. There's like 2 or 3 other Mexican restaurants in town, but this was the only place we wanted to visit and from the food we enjoyed with family and how much we walked away with for such reasonable prices, I'm glad we chose wisely. If you're looking for freshness, (they had all our food well packed up, sauces, tableware, napkins and condiments in asst. boxes, containers, etc. in neatly stacked/packed in bags in less than 10 minutes!) quick and fabulous service...look no further than this fantastic lil place! You WON'T be sorry -- you'll be full and very satisfied!

The place is across the street from the horse racing tack and was surprisingly much larger than expected. The menu is huge and service was friendly and great. The prices were reasonable. Sorry. I wish I took a picture of the menu. Probably online somewhere. Parking lot is huge and we could only assume that the place is jumping during racing season. My wife chose 1 shrimp taco and another with steak. She really enjoyed them both. I had 2 southern tacos (fried chicken pieces). We both took the crispy shells too. I liked mine but I'm still not sure about the crispy shells taste.maybe they needed to change the deep frying grease? I'm not sure. I was happy to see 4 different choices of hot sauce to choose from ( 3 of the 4 are home made and good). The moral of the story is that we both agreed to come back some time and try other things on the menu. It's worth the stop if in the area. I'd be interested in your review.

I heard these were the best tacos in town so I immediately thought of getting tongue, and goat tacos with a flame broiled Serrano. Nope, not the La comida casera that I was expecting.
