Unfortunately, when we arrived during the posted business hours (both on Google and at the location), the booth was closed. We weren't the only ones -- at least seven other patrons were waiting and left disappointed as well. It was frustrating to see so many people looking forward to enjoying Enrique's, only to find it closed without notice. This kind of inconsistency feels like poor business practice, and it left us very let down. We truly hope Enrique's can improve communication with customers, because the food has always been worth the trip -- but experiences like this make it hard to recommend right now.

Now, to get back to the sound level of the TV - part of the problem was the employees had their own music playing behind the counter. I'm an engineer, so I have a db meter on my phone. While we ate I recorded the sound level in the room. It was between 70db and peaked at 90db. I've included a screenshot of the peak sound - you can see the equivalent level on the chart. I don't think I was out of line asking to turn it down (it was louder). A little cultural background music creates a pleasant ambiance. Loud music is just annoying - I won't return.

Located on weekdays during work hours at Perry Square, Ernies is a small, locally-owned food truck that offers up Erie's own Smith hot dogs, Italian sausages, hamburgers, turkey burgers, cheesesteaks, steak wraps, BLTs, pulled pork sandwiches, and more. It's a safe menu, sure, but Ernies makes every meal fresh and made-to-order. This means that it takes a little longer (my Italian sausage with onions and peppers took probably 6-7 minutes), but being so fresh and at an extremely reasonable price of $4, it was well worth the wait - especially considering the guys behind the counter were personable and more than willing to chat with me while they were cooking, as it wasn't too busy. As much as I love Sara's for what it is, I've never liked that their dogs sit on the burners for way too long. Here, you don't have to worry about that. Support these guys.
