This is what a taco salad with no sour cream looks like.

I placed what I thought was a simple order. I got 2 soft tacos and they put less and less in them all the time. The problem came when I ordered a taco salad without sour cream. Granted it was a much larger salad than the last one I got from a different location, but I said no sour cream and the receipt reflected the correct order. For a first visit I was not impressed.

4 Corners Tavern - ChampionsGate…read more We hadn't been to 4 Corners Tavern in years. Located in the ChampionsGate shopping area, a friend recently raved about the food, so we decided it was time to give it another try. Our server, Nick, was friendly, personable, and helped us with our menu selections. I was excited to see the lunch special was a Chopped Cheese sandwich. Being from New York, I've really missed a good chopped cheese and have been craving one for quite some time. The sandwich came with a choice of side, and I chose the French fries. While it was a decent sandwich, it just wasn't an authentic New York chopped cheese. The lettuce wasn't chopped but simply placed on top, and it was missing the chopped tomatoes and onions that help make the sandwich so special. It was served on a hoagie roll, but the it wasn't smashed together the way I'm used to seeing in New York. My husband ordered the Brisket Dipper, which also came with a choice of side. He selected the soup of the day, a beef and rice soup. The sandwich was served with an au jus dipping sauce and was good, but not memorable. In fact, we both agreed the brisket at our local Ovation Bistro & Bar is much more flavorful. The soup arrived as essentially a cup of shredded beef in broth, and the rice had accidentally been left out. The server quickly brought it over afterwards. When I spotted bread pudding on the dessert menu, I couldn't resist ordering one of my all-time favorite desserts. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. The bread pudding was very dense, covered with large dollops of whipped topping, and didn't taste particularly fresh. Overall, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food simply didn't live up to the recommendation we had received. With more than a dozen restaurants nearby offering excellent dining options, this isn't one we'd return to. If you're dining in the ChampionsGate area, I'd recommend spending your money at one of the many better choices nearby.

And this food truck at Disney Springs did not disappoint. I was not familiar with the name of the place but my empanadas were very good. I was greeted by staff when ready to order and it only took a few minutes for my food to come out. The empanadas were scorching hot and well seasoned. They don't skip out on the filling. Prices were also reasonable. There's not a lot of seating so we sat on a ledge next to some napping ducks. I'd for sure come back here if looking for a quick bite at Disney Springs. My sister said the tostados were good.

Wow! Now I know why she loves Cilantro Urban so much. Cilantro Urban Eatery should be your next stop at Disney Springs if you are looking for freshly made Mexican or Latin American with fresh ingredients and home cooked pizazz like authentic black beans, minced herbs, and corn that taste better than anything you can get at the overpriced restaurants up the street. My daughter in law and son usually gets the Beef or Chicken there, but the manager Santiago kindly special created Vegetarian plates for me and my husband to suit our vegetarian diet. Bravo! I will definitely be back soon.

It's at the intersection of Ronald Reagan and 27. It's owned by the same guys that own Ovation Bistro. So, if you are signed up as a frequent diner, it works for both. I ordered chilli relleno with chorizo and my wife ordered chicken chimichanga. I liked my relleno and wife thought her chimichanga was adequate. The chimichanga was huge and half of it went home with us. The music was Mexican and not too loud. If you are looking for Mexican place, you should try this place too. The service by Emilio was very friendly and Emilio conversed freely. Their salsa was rather simple. Could have used some onions, cilantro etc.

I was seated quickly, the staff was very friendly, and the food came out incredibly fast. 5 stars for the service and nice environment! Unfortunately, the food execution fell short. I ordered the carne asada street tacos, which were heavily over-salted. The sides also missed the mark: the rice was quite dry with several uncooked, hard grains mixed in, and the refried beans felt more like a dense clump of mashed beans rather than a smooth, traditional style. I really appreciate how welcoming and efficient the staff was, but the kitchen needs to dial back the salt and focus more on the execution of the staple dishes.
