On Sunday, December 2025, I pulled up to the drive-through at 808 S. High St. in Columbus Ohio. I've been to several Taco Bell's, I had four dogs in the truck with me, I asked for four pup cups, the lady inside laughed at me and said we don't have those, no apology. I made my order and proceeded to the window, only to see several women standing around the window and what appeared to be a male preparing my food with his pants down around his thighs. Went thru the drive-thru and ordered dinner. Checked out order and we were missing items so I went in the store and the rude ass store manager wanted to argue with me that I didn't pay for an item when it was clearly stated on the receipt. They weren't too busy inside, though the drive-through was steady; two people offered to help me, and got me taken care of quickly, as the others handled the window well. I asked about their new chicken nuggets, but they are already gone; apparently I am behind the times. Needed something car-worthy, so got a burrito, a beefy 5-layer. Pretty blah. I made a mistake, this review is for the Taco Bell on route 23, north of Columbus. But I did also eat at the Taco Bell on high street recently, and would not recommend them either---I found not one, but TWO hairs in my Mexican pizza. So my one star rating still applies. The north 23 location (store 00434-04) used to be so outstanding that we would drive a half hour out of our way to eat there. Never again! Our Mexican pizzas were supposed to come with extra meat, which we certainly paid for, but there was only a skimpy circle of meat in the center, with a margin of one to two inches around the edges where there was no meat at all. Double meat?? Not hardly. We always order the pizzas without beans, so it is very obvious how much meat you actually get. And somehow they managed to make the pizza shells TOUGH. The top shell was okay, slightly crispy as expected, but the bottom shell could not be cut with a fork--which they did not give us. We had some extra forks in the car that we tried to cut it with, but the bottom crust was too tough, so I ended up eating mine with my fingers, since I could tear it even if I couldn't cut it...fingers which I could not wipe on the napkins which they also did not give us. The taco shells were substandard, not fresh and crisp as they should be, and the filling was skimpy. One of mine was a scant quarter inch thick, WITH all the filling in it! None of the food was very hot, in spite of the long wait. The cost? Almost $25.00, for a truly horrible meal for which we had paid extra--for extra beef they did not give us. What's so sad is that a few years ago, this location was absolutely superb! Everything always hot and fresh, the tacos were loaded, if you ordered extra meat you GOT extra meat. So sad to cross yet another Taco Bell off the list. This was the last one we had not yet let go of due to bad quality and inflated prices. We are cured, no more Taco Bell. I love me some Taco Bell and don't usually have many problems with this location. I almost always use the app now to order ahead of time. It makes the drive thru process much quicker. Plus I get added rewards. The only issues I've noticed is not all the drink options are on the app for some reason. I tried breakfast a few times recently. The breakfast Quesadilla is pretty good. I like to add the creamy jalapeño sauce which is on the regular chicken quesadillas. Iced coffee was not my fav. The picture showed an iced coffee with milk/creamer, but I got a black one. Not sure if that's just something to do with ordering in the app that I need to customize adding creamer? Rarely there are some delays, typically if it's a late weekend night. Otherwise they usually get the order right and everything goes pretty smoothly. There is the occasion miss or not full enough quesadilla. They also seemed to have raised there prices lately so things aren't as cheap as they have been. The online only cravings combo box is still a great deal. I literally do not understand how you can be this bad at Taco Bell. I've been here multiple times and every single time it has been a complete disaster. Wrong menu items, stale taco shells, out of beef, card reader is down. There has never been a time I went to this location and there wasn't an issue. It's almost as if they are TRYING to be the worst Taco Bell in history. It honestly seems intentional. This past order I got a steak quesarito. Their prices are competitive. The service is quick and usually pretty friendly. The only negative is their lot is pretty small and it's especially tight in the drive thru lane. My husband and I are coming back from a fun filled of canoeing. We decided to stop at this Taco Bell and get something to eat. Went through the drive-thru placed our order. My husband got an order of cinnamon sticks. There wasn't enough cinnamon on this stick so he asked for some more cinnamon. Instead of putting more cinnamon on they gave us two more extra cinnamon sticks. We drove home all the way to back to Bexley. We got home and realized the order was totally wrong and missing things. We drove back to get the order corrected. When we went inside the place look like a dive the kitchen was nasty. It took 5 minutes for the manager to say anything to us. And then when she did she told us the order was right because she made it. The manager had an attitude cuz Tuesday is her last day. After about 2 minutes arguing with her over the order. She told the cashier to rereading it. The cashier was trying to charge us, she turned around to her manager and the manager said that that it would be free. The manager then decided to put our order on the very back end. We waited for 20 minutes, then we decided we did not want the Order anymore. We ask for a refund she promptly told us she could not do that that only a manager could refund the money. She is a manager? Right ! Then as we were pressing the issue about getting refund she told us she didn't have time. We called the police to deal with the situation. Will be going back into the store today to talk with the manager and calling corporate today. I normally don't write reviews at all. There's a look. It's a facial expression. It's mild dread. It's German Village Taco Bell Employee Face. When a worker (who obviously doesn't want to be there but has checked Instagram 16 times since you made your order) hands you your food from the drive-thru perch, his or her confusion says, "I'm sorry. Maybe?" with a nervous energy that is almost palpable. No words are exchanged. If you get everything you ordered, it's a success. That look - the confused gaze they give you - seems like they just reached into a trough (see "NOTE" at end of review) of Taco Bell food slop and threw random items into a brown paper bag and have their fingers crossed behind their back just hoping against all hope that some of the things they grabbed are things you ordered. There is a mathematical formula when it comes to waiting in line at this drive-thru. Every car (including your own) represents seven minutes of waiting time and ... I've been waiting to use this line ... it's not exactly ... if you've seen 1980s movies where making out in closets happened at every home in a suburban neighborhood you know what's next ... seven minutes in ... yep ... heaven. Let's say you pull up and you're the only car in line. Whatever you order (be it three tacos and nachos or simply a Mountain Dew Pepsi Freeze Cool Breeze Chiller) you're going to wait seven minutes for your order. If you're pulling up and you see three cars in line (this includes the car at the drive-thru window), you're going to be waiting 28 minutes (three cars and your own ... that's four). I don't like reviewing fast food places because judging a place that hires high school kids is patently unfair - but the contrast between this Taco Bell and the Wendy's across the street is stark. Wendy's (whose commercials remind you of annoying people who are looking for excuses to double- and triple-text you like we get it you can be funny but relax for five freaking seconds dude) actually does everything right when it comes to German Village fast food options. Service is impeccable, the drive-thru line moves quickly, it's easy to pay for food (read that again and marvel at its noteworthiness) and you always get everything you ordered. The German Village Taco Bell has to be the most horrendously managed fast food place in the country. I get it. Every community has a "worst" fast food place that people love to rip on, sometimes unfairly. Not this place. All complaints are warranted. I've lived in German Village since the mid-2000s and this place has remained THEEEEEE worst during that entire period. I'm not entirely sure what is going on. Before writing this review, I noticed some people gave this place positive remarks. These individuals must be actual Taco Bell employees or relatives of management. You know how you will sometimes go to a place (German Village Chipotle or German Village Taco Bell) and want to WRITE THAT PLACE A LETTER about how awful everything about it is? Obviously, no one ever actually does that but German Village Taco Bell has pushed me closest to the brink. I just cannot - for the life of me - get over how terrible this location remains. How on earth has there never been a reality show made about fixing this place up?? It's THAT bad. The only thing worse is when you got stuck with a partner who didn't use deodorant or tooth paste in sophomore chemistry in high school when you were SO close to being the guy paired with the hottest chick in the class. It's awful. Like there should be a show with The Rock (I don't know if he has any fast food experience, I have never read any of his biographies) and The Rock goes into fast food places and gives pep talks and everything turns around and one of the employees turns his or her life around and someone cries at the end during an emotional TESTIMONIAL. We all remember December 2015 as the month when "BOSS NACHOS" from Taco Bell were all the rage. Will and I used to love going to bars and making an order for "BOSS NACHOS" and just seeing what they served us (I miss the nachos at Eddie George's on campus ... too much sour cream, yes, but the overall presentation and taste hit every spot imaginable). The Boss Nachos at German Village Taco Bell came in a gigantic garbage-bag looking thing. Trash. Yes. I usually don't leave negative reviews but when you've tried to go to this location at different times of the day, and different days of the week and you ALWAYS spend at least 25min in line then something is wrong with either their employees or process. Tonight we pulled in to a line of 6 waiting to order. And decided to go across the street to Wendy's due to this places history. A few days ago, my family and I were visiting from out of town, and we all decided on going to this establishment, we went through their drive-thru to make our order, get everything back home and all of our orders weren't in our bag(s). So, we debated on going back out due to the high temperatures outside. But we did. We get back there, make through to the drive-thru, and we were then directed to the second window and explained to the drive-thru personnel that we didn't get all of our meals. They began to get upset with us because we didn't have our bag, but we had our receipt and explained to the staff that we didn't get everything we paid for ... we were told by the staff that their manager said, "that we did, get everything that we paid for, but we didn't..." .After going back and forth, they then decided that they were wrong and we were right to then give us what we had paid for. Originally, we were going to give them 5 because at first they were treating us properly. But we decided after all of the back and forth to give this place 3 .
