A couple years ago I stopped at this location on a long drive up the 5 and was disappointed by the old restaurant and flies. BUT now it's had a complete remodel (and seemingly new staff/business practices). Hopefully they keep it this nice for a while, I'll be stopping back. read more

Hm, this might be the slowest Taco Bell that ever did exist. It took 30 minutes to get our food and this was after waiting 20 minutes in line. I will not be stopping here again since it takes too long and the food was very sloppily made. The burrito wasn't wrapped all the way and the quesadilla we got was fully stuck to the wrapper since they didn't fold it correctly. What a mess. But those of us who believe in God rely upon this simple exchange, that God rewards piety and kindness since He is benevolent. The Taco Bell at Harris Ranch will make you doubt the benevolence of God. For the meager sin of needing to go to the bathroom on a pit stop off the Interstate-5 and choosing this particular Taco Bell is to be punished with misfortune of biblical proportions. If you like your fast food restaurants tidy, this Taco Bell is your 9th circle of hell. Boxes of half-eaten food are strewn about. Streaks of sauce and remnants of lettuce sit atop the tables. Colorful little paper taco wrappers are bunched in areas around the floor, alongside more sauce-stained Mexican pizza boxes, empty Fire sauce packets, and homeless little strings of lettuce and cheese. There are flies, not circling a single area but the entire restaurant, since the entire place could conceivably be confused with actual fecal matter, a dead body, or perhaps most generously, a large garbage can. And it would not surprise me, in the least, if this was one of the highest grossing Taco Bells in the United States. Like the Mona Lisa, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Heidi Montag's face, the Taco Bell needs to be seen to be believed. We were weary from our long drive, and our stomachs were aching from the pain of the absence of nourishment. Luckily, we saw an upscale Taco Bell (always reliable am I right!) and we decided on that as our establishment for dinner. And woah buddy let me tell you, they did not disappoint. AT ALL. We were met with a very clean, beautiful interior of a mix of the 16th century Spanish villas and postmodern SoHo. A delight to the eyes. The staff, as friendly as your favorite substitute teacher, greeted us and took our order promptly and with love. Our food came out fairly quick (they call it fast food for a reason! ), and let me tell you. Wow. Taco Bell is usually always solid (voted #1 Mexican restaurant in the United States for a reason), but this food was otherworldly! A fiesta of flavors happened in my mouth that transported me to the streets of Puerto Vallarta itself, and it wasn't stopped anytime soon with my food being washed down with the ice glacier flavor of the water that flowed from the machine. I traveled the world in one dish, experienced a whole cascade of feelings that seemed foreign yet so familiar. Memories of my abuelita came to mind, and I almost cried. Why does the women's bathroom here smell like shit!? Did they rub it in the walls and grout? I mean, I know what people do in here but by gawd, there's running water and employees here... and yet it smells worse than a public park outhouse. The food is like any other Taco Bell and the service is as expected from any fast food joint but honestly, most people come here as a pitstop so where we release our goods is more important than what goes in. The absolute worst Taco Bell I've ever been in. We were passing through on our road trip to L.A. I usually love Taco Bell and never knew why some people dubbed it "Taco Hell" or "Taco Smell"; now I know. The place was filthy; from the restroom to the dining area. The trash bins were overflowing and there was trash all over the floor. The whole restaurant also had a very strange gross odor. We were starving so we just ordered our food "to go" and ate in the car in the parking lot. I saw some other people doing the same thing. This is a chain restaurant, there should be standards. The health department should raid this place! I pulled in here off the highway to get something quick to eat. Since I needed to use the restroom I decided to park and go inside. From the time I got out of my truck to the time I got to the bathroom I don't know what was worse. The trash around the building, the cigarette butts piled up outside the door, the trash barrel stuff to the gills and overflowing, or just the overall stench of the place. I wasn't about to find out how my food was being prepared so I kindly left the place and drove off. I've been the first person in line for five minutes, staff here has no understanding if customer service. The interior is horrible, I really should leave but I'm exhausted from driving and thought I'd head to a familiar place for a quick snack. It's dated, dirty and flies in the air, at least two. Bathroom disaster. Literally, feces on the seat of one if the men's bathroom toilet seat. While place smells like urine. This place is almost certainly a health hazard and should be checked by authorities as well as the corporate organization. Even during the heavy holiday season, there is no excuse. I was in here about 9 days ago on a Friday around 3 pm. I have been here before and really haven't had an issue, except for this place is ALWAYS full of flies, which is gross. This last time I was in there, there seemed to be a manager or owner present. It was some guy in plain business casual clothes, sweeping floors and hanging around, very friendly. You would think, with a manager present, staff would have been on better behavior and things would be running smoother.... There was apparently only one person taking orders for both drive thru and dining room. So, every other order, the person taking dining room orders would step away and tend to drive thru cashier duties as well. This made for a longer wait than usual, which was annoying. I was the only person in line, yet had to wait about 10 minutes to even order, because the dining room cashier was also working drive thru. The bigger issue here was that multiple customers had to bring their food back up to the counter after receiving it because there were so many mistakes or missing items. My order included. I had to bring my food back up to the counter because the combo meal I ordered was supposed to come with a taco supreme. A taco supreme has beef, cheese, sour cream, lettuce and tomato. The taco I received, however, only had beef, sour cream, and lettuce... no cheese or tomatoes... The employee up front had the nerve to argue with me and accused me of only ordering a regular taco when I asked for my cheese and tomatoes... I explained that I did in fact order a taco supreme and was about to go back to my table and grab my receipt when some annoyed employee came over and smacked down 2 sides of cheese and tomatoes.... REALLY? This will no longer be my go to stop during my twice monthly drive from the Bay Area to the central Coast. Fly infested, rude employee having Taco Bell.... read more

If it were possible to give negative stars this would be well in to the negatives. This is the first Yelp review that I've ever done and it was brought on because of sheer disgust. I took my kids to the bathroom and would have immediately walked out except that my daughter was about to pee her pants. One toilet was so bad neither of my children would go In the stall. I would have preferred a porta-potty to that bathroom. There was not one clean table in the place. We tried multiple areas and I finally settled to just clean them myself. After sitting I looked up to see an awesome web with three or four daddy long legs that were large and well kept. Granted I will take the spiders over the two flies flying around. The walls had peeling plaster and there was another web over by the soda machine. The food was typical Taco Bell fair except the cheese was unmelted in the pintos and cheese which is not a big deal but still just a further thing "wrong". The girl working at the counter was super sweet and did go around to "clean" but that was basically sweeping trash up and a quick wipe of the tables that did not include the wide edges which were pretty dirty (the top of the table I cleaned didn't leave residue on my wipe but the sides turned it brownish-black when I cleaned them). Please note when I read reviews about how awful a place it I take it with a grain of salt thinking there is surly a bit of exaggeration. However, I assure you, I have not exaggerated nor given a complete account of just how awful this was. We went to McDonalds across the way to use the bathrooms again because I just couldn't go back to those bathrooms (it was very clean). I just feel dirty. read more

I second the negative reviews about this place. As for the food, I was not expecting too much. This is a place in the middle of nowhere on I-5 where travelers stop for a quick bite. So, the food was the expected mechanized, fast food you would expect at Taco Bell. The real problem with this place is the service specifically by one cashier. I am not asking to get treated as at a five star restaurant. I am asking to be treated as a human being. I have the upmost respect for ANY type of job. Any job has dignity. I myself do not come from a rich family and I always remember where I come from. However, the cashier Brenda O. is one of the rudest ever. She took my wife's order with the worst attitude and possible worst manners I have ever seen. She took our order rolling her eyes as if we were bugging her. Of course everyone has a bad day so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. However, while been so rude to my wife she then started cracking jokes with her co-workers. Stopped by here on the way to LA from SF. Sadly, i could say this is the worst Taco Bell I've ever been too. Restaurant was very dirty. Tables were not clean, trash cans were overflowing, and there were no napkins in the dispenser. I sympathize with the employees a little since a group made a large order, but this shouldn't take away from the cleanliness of the store. I only ordered 1 item and was told it would take 15 minutes, but it was closer to 20-25. I only stayed since it was over 100 degrees outside and I didn't want to move the car. Food quality ok though, no different than other Taco Bells. Don't make the same mistake I did by letting your taco cravings take you here. read more

The ceiling was leaking and water was dripping down into pans scattered about the floor. Probably from the AC unit. They were using pitchers and pans to catch the water in. There were so many flies inside the restaurant. They were everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty and the ladies bathroom had the entire soap unit just setting on the sink .
