After checking the ratings online I figured I would give it a try. Service was friendly & food prepared fresh while I waited. I got 3 different tacos on corn tortillas to go. My favorite was the tasty shredded beef and the Poblano pepper taco filled with cheese. I also loved their green sauce. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this little diamond in the rough!

My partner and I stopped by El Taco Jalisco on 04/03/2026 around 12 PM for lunch, and even though…read moreit was a bit busy, we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated immediately--always a great start! I ordered the lunch special with two tacos (pastor & chicken) and swapped the beans for rice. It was my first time trying pastor, and wow--I was genuinely impressed. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with a smoky, slightly sweet, and savory flavor that really stood out. Definitely a 5/5 for the pastor taco. The chicken taco was decent--well-seasoned, mildly juicy, and satisfying, but not quite as bold or memorable. I'd give that one a 4/5. One thing I really appreciated: the meat didn't have that dry, overcooked texture you sometimes get at other taco spots. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. My partner ordered the carne asada plate (charbroiled fajita steak with pico de gallo, avocado, rice, and tortillas, with beans swapped for extra rice) $15.99. He said the steak was nicely charred, tender, and full of rich, savory flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. The plate was filling and well-balanced, and he gave it a solid 4/5. Overall, a great lunch spot with fresh ingredients, quick seating, and flavorful food. We'll definitely be back!

The pastor tacos here come with cheese and the meat was tough. For about $5/taco, I'll go somewhere else. After trying different dishes and food my family did not enjoy any of it. Stale chips and flavorless meats. The kitchen is open to the dining area, and several employees looked at us, but no one greeted or acknowledged us for a while. Eventually, a lady came to the register, but there was still no greeting or welcoming attitude. It honestly set a negative tone from the start. The food prices were also noticeably higher than most taquerias in the area, especially considering online prices from just a few months ago were over a dollar cheaper on several items. We decided to give this place a try instead of going to places like Sol Tamales or SaraBellas, these two places are our ultimate Taquerias but unfortunately we won't be returning to Betos at all. Even when our food was brought to the table, it was simply placed down without any interaction or courtesy. Customer service makes a big difference in the restaurant industry, and a friendly attitude goes a long way. Overall, the experience was disappointing and the food was bland for a Mexican Taqueria.
