When the facts change I change my mind. In my first review I was critical and while I have increased my star rating in this review much of what I've said previously still holds but here I offer another perspective.
I still will not pay £2.7 for a doughnut, period. I like a deal and this place offers a deal that I like at £7.5.
For £7.5 I can get any small coffee - and their coffees are superb - any over-priced doughnut, a bloody great bread sub - not like subway but far and away better with fresh meats.
There are six different bread subs to choose (see photo) and around 20 different sauces.
There's a selection of 27 proposed sub fillings and you can pick your own.
The proteins are mostly chicken, turkey, beef, tuna, and then various hard, smoked and semi soft cheeses. Then the usual salads, sun dried tomatoes, rocket, onions, red cabbage, jalapeños, salsa and much more.
They can also rustle up salad bowls, serve up sweet (but not savoury) crepes, cakes, milkshakes and so on.
So all in all delightful; we've settled on the lemon meringue pie as doughnut of our choice - the meringue topping is soft and tasty light and the lemon curd filling is delicious not overly sweet but still not worth £2.7. read more
