Not only did his office (and he, personally) take care of my legal needs in a safe, professional manner, but he had insight into my own personal requirements. I really appreciated his "plain and simple" approach. We met with him first to understand just what our situation required, then that small cost for the initial consultation was applied to the larger bill - so really that first consultation is included in the services Joel Bernstein provided. I did shop around, read reviews and spent a bit of time finding out how much such estate planning requires - how much money, how much time and what to expect; Joel B. was right in the middle for expenses, but provided more consultation and was very responsive and made me feel understood and cared for. He was the ONLY lawyer with whom we met who caught some critical issues in my personal estate planning that had gone unnoticed by everyone else we consulted with. For comprehensive, professional estate planning with a smart, caring and wise attorney, go with Joel Bernstein in Lexington Massachusetts!

It is unfortunate, Joel continues to advertise non-stop for his services, and when his office is…read morecalled, the woman working for him has absolutely no kindness in her voice whatsoever. She blatantly told me Joel was not assisting anyone, new, any longer, due to the number of individuals calling him. When I asked her why he continues to advertise non-stop, her response was, "Because he wants to help people." There is a problem with this picture. His "helping", is hurting and disillusioning the vulnerable. I ask, why would he continue to "urge individuals, through his advertising, to contact him? To dishearten these individuals is cruel. Find someone else who, may be more caring, and certainly does not lead you into a "hole" of empty expectations. This is an example of why lawyers receive a "bad name'.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with the accountant was so appalling that I feel…read moreobligated to warn others about Gerald F Paolilli. I contacted him with a few reasonable questions about my return that he prepared. I was immediately met with passive aggressive attitude, condescending comments, and a complete lack of professionalism. Rather than answering basic questions, I was told to "go elsewhere" and also to hurry up and pay the invoice. I wasn't being difficult, I just wanted to understand few things. Apparently, that's too much to ask this accountant (who is clearly a miserable person). I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect by a so-called professional. It's honestly shocking that someone like this is running a business. If you're looking for an accountant who is patient, respectful, and willing to communicate, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Avoid Gerald F Paolilli at all costs if you value being treated like a human being.

The Best CPA I've Worked With in 35+ Years of Business…read more After running multiple businesses over the past 35+ years, I've worked with many CPAs -- but Stephen Jordan stands out as the absolute best. He's not just a tax preparer -- he's a strategic advisor, a calm presence in stressful times, and a true professional who knows how to get things done. When I came to Stephen, my records were a mess: overlapping business filings, real estate sales, crypto transactions, partnership transitions -- you name it. Within a short time, he helped me get fully organized, created a clear plan for back filings, and identified exactly what needed to be done to stay compliant and protected. He navigated it all with precision and patience. Stephen took the time to understand me -- not just the numbers. He respected my experience, offered smart solutions without judgment, and helped bring order to years of financial chaos. For the first time in a long time, I felt confident about my filings and my future. If you're a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, don't waste time with generic CPA firms. Stephen Jordan is in a class of his own. I wish I had found him 20 years ago.
