Came here for breakfast on our last day in town. This is a lovely rooftop restaurant, part of a…read morelocal hotel, that whips up an amazing breakfast! Walk right into the lobby and the front desk will radio up to announce your arrival (or figure out if there's space up there for you). Then walk up a couple flights of stairs to the open air rooftop terrace. They have menus in both English and Spanish, both paper and QR. They will set you up with the wifi password if you ask. A breakfast set comes with fruit, a baby pancake, coffee and juice, and your choice of entree. My partner had pork chilaquiles in red sauce - it was really tasty; if you like meat, that's an option to try. I had the tortilla espanola with goat cheese and caramelized onion; this is a Spanish-style potato and egg omelette/casserole. It was downright dang amazing! It was a hefty portion and I had them pack my leftover for me to take to the airport afterwards because no way was I wasting a crumb of that!!! The with a side salad that came with it was an after thought. Our waiter and his colleague were good and attentive. Really enjoyable breakfast. P.S. the leftovers were eaten at the BJX airport with plastic forks from airport burger place. I was still drooling over it at the airport. If you come for breakfast, definitely try the tortilla espanola - queso de cabra y cebollas caramelizada!

We were disappointed by…read morethe first establishment we went to, as they stopped service food an hour prior to our arrival. The staff there recommended this place, which sat less than 10 minutes away via uber. When we got here, we found a bar and grill with a lively presence. Most of the patrons were locals of Polanco. We were able to find seating despite the place being busy. We sat on one of the outside tables, and ordered drinks and coffee while we decided what to order. We decided to get a cold cut platter, which we ended up regretting. It was not appetizing at all, and I recommend steering clear from it. The girlfriend ordered some shrimp, which was so-so. My order, the hamburger with fries, was the best tasting. The burger was done well, and the fries were very tasty. The coffee hit as expected. The girlfriend ordered an apperol, but she did not like it due to it being overly sour. She opted for a different drink, which she found it ok. I have to dock several stars because the service was very slow, even for a busy place. They had us waiting for along time, and no they were not understaffed. This, and the fact that my order was the only delicious plate out of everything we ordered, makes this a 2-star rating. They need to work on their timeliness, not prep the shrimp to blandly, and cut the cold cut platter out of their menu completely, then they'd be on the road to improvement.

Two for one margaritas or Daqueries was an offer we couldn't pass up. You would be hard pressed to find a promotion like this further up on the avenue. We both ordered two margaritas and they were pretty strong margaritas, not watered down at all. We convinced ourselves to drink slow and not gulp it down too quickly. The ambiance was upbeat with the 80's songs playing though out most of the night. This place is low-key and not too rowdy.

Housed inside the remnants of an old building, the restaurant's patio, which is the largest dining area of the restaurant, is light and fresh, thanks to the natural light and lush plants that adorn the room. It lends itself to be a very elegant but refreshing place to enjoy an evening dinner, and romantic enough during the night to bring your significant other only with the excuse to share a bottle of (insert favorite poison here). The food is good, classy and traditional, and the service is great, as to be expected with any fine dining restaurant in Mexico. The various carpaccio are a good way to start any meal, but to follow the restaurant's theme, it would be natural to order the thin and salty slices of Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and a plate of cheeses. Once the wine menu makes its appearance, it is time to begin the festivities and remember the wonders Spain has bestowed upon the New World, or so they would have us believe. There are plenty of options for first and main courses, the most notable of which are the Suckling Pig and the Roasted Quail. Most of the other dishes will make you enjoy your dinner, but nothing to be considered something memorable. The dessert menu is uninventive but delicious, because then again, who really doesn't enjoy sugar and fat? Honestly. This restaurant keeps you coming back for the ambiance alone, but it is also a very enjoyable dining experience, and an excellent place to see and be seen.
